Chapter 36: Roaring Lava Giant!
Chapter 36. Roaring Lava Giant!
There were many paths in the magma-covered area.
After quite a while, the dwarves arrived before a huge lava lake.
Not all areas around the lava lake were stable.
Even though a few spots on the ground seemed to be even, but once they were stepped on, it was very likely that they would directly fall into the lava.
While moving carefully, they made their way towards a stone plaza in front of the lava lake.
The Dwarven Queen took out a Fire Crystal and threw it into the lava lake.
The melting point of the Fire Crystal seemed to be very high since after falling into the lava lake, it didn’t melt. Instead, it sank into it.
Not long after, something in the lava lake started to growl.
Within the red magma, bubbles began showing up.
All of a sudden, the lava shook violently. A giant with red flames burning all over his body suddenly stood up.
The giant was at least ten meters tall. Compared to it, the dwarves that were only a little over a meter tall were like tiny toy soldiers.
Now that the giant was standing up, the flames on his body began to slowly extinguish.
Because there was still a large amount of magma on its body, it continuously flowed down and fell into the lava lake.
“My Queen, the Lava Giant is so big!”
The female dwarf seemed to have never seen a Lava Giant before. Upon seeing such a huge Lava Giant right in front of her, she couldn’t help but widen her eyes.
The Fire Crystal which was thrown by the Dwarven Queen was still in the Lava Giant’s hand.
After looking at it, it placed half of the fire crystal into its mouth. With a *Kacha* sound, half of the Fire Crystal was bitten.
Then, he started chewing.
“Who threw this? It tastes good, give me some more.”
The Lava Giant leaned forward and looked down at the dwarves.
Because it moved like this, the lava on its shoulder fell, scaring the dwarves into retreating. They were afraid of being scorched by the lava.
The Dwarven Queen suddenly clapped her hands. Behind her, a few dwarves carried a large chest.
The Lava Giant stared at the chest with anticipation in its eyes.
When the Dwarven Queen opened the chest, it was filled with Fire Crystals!
After seeing the numerous Fire Crystals, the Lava Giant’s eyes widened.
“Speak, what do you need?” It was clear that the Lava Giant was anxious to obtain the Fire Crystals.
The Dwarven Queen took out a large piece of silver iron while saying, As long as you help us melt this meteorite iron, all of these Fire Crystals will be yours.”
“Heavensfall Iron? Let me see.”
After the Lava Giant extended its hand, the Dwarven Queen threw the meteorite iron over.
The Lava Giant took the meteorite and bit it into its mouth. After sniffing it, it placed it into the lava lake to soak it.
After doing so, it looked at the unaffected meteorite iron and threw it back to the Dwarven Queen.
“This is something from the Heaven Realm. I can’t melt it.”
Halfway through his sentence, he saw the large chest of Fire Crystals behind the dwarves. His eyes looked back at them. “But if you give me that box of Fire Crystals, I can try doing it.”
But the Dwarven Queen wasn’t stupid. She responded immediately, “I won’t disturb you any longer, we’ll find another way.”
With these words, she turned around and tried to leave.
This piece of iron was too miraculous... Even after being soaked in lava, it was not hot at all!
No wonder even the Lava Giant was helpless against it.
The Dwarven Queen couldn’t help but feel disappointed. Now that the Lava Giant couldn’t do it and the lava fire couldn’t be found. She could only find another way.
Just as they were about to leave, the Lava Giant suddenly jumped out of the lava and ran behind the dwarves while roaring, “You all woke me up from my slumber! One Fire Crystal isn’t enough compensation. Give me another ten then I’ll let you all go, if not...”
Before it could finish its sentence, a small flame abruptly floated onto its body. And then, it started to burn!
“Yi! Who set me on fire! You dare to set me on fire? Don’t you know that I’m not afraid— Ah!”
Halfway through the sentence, the red flame ignited on its huge body with a boom.
“Ahhhh!”
The Lava Giant howled in pain.
