The creature before Raven was the same large and fat abomination he had once seen during his time in that abandoned and demolished city.
In fact, he had seen two of them at that time and even witnessed their battle against each other which naturally ended up in one of them losing their life.
'I guess this is the perfect time for me to try these two out.' Raven thought to himself as he glanced at his blade and his ring before he took a deep breath and initiated the fight.
"Ghrrrkk..."
Letting out a deep and disgusting groan, the creature in the distance raised its large heavy lance, and after bending its knees scarcely it... Jumped!?
Raven's eyes widened upon seeing how the creature that seemingly weighed more than half a ton soared into the sky and descended on him from above like a meteorite, its weapon already raised above its head.
BOOOOOM!
The ground trembled and dust flew everywhere the second the creature landed on the spot where Raven stood.
'So this is how it feels to use this Relic?' Raven felt pleasantly surprised as he ignored the creature and examined the ring that glowed with a gentle purplish light.
Right, a second before the creature could have landed its blow on him, Raven while. would have easily dodged the assault with his Rune Mark alone still decided to risk it all and use his Relic, which turned out to exceed his expectations greatly.
First of all, he belived the amount of Mystique it will require him to use if he wished to activate the Void Domain would be around 10,000 units or more, but he was wrong.
It didn't even require him more than 1,000 units!
Secondly, the radius of his Void Domain. He thought its radius will be just around 50 meters, after all, its description said it will be a small domain. However, it seemed that the small domain was not 50 meters but 500!
That was not fricking small at all!
Lastly, what shocked Raven the most, was the time needed for his Void Jump to activate. It seemed what he had read in the description about immediate teleportation was not a fib at all.
'The only downside of this Relic is that it cannot be used continuously. This is more of a life-saving token than a weapon that can support me in a fight in the long run.' Raven thought and shifted his gaze at the creature in front of him.
Right at the spot where he had just stood a moment ago, the large abomination stared angrily at him, its weapon deeply pierced into the ground with cracks spread everywhere around it.
"Ghrrrkk!!!"
Watching as the creature pulled its weapon out from the ground and began to dash toward him, Raven raised his weapon calmly and focused on the armor thick black armor.
----------------
? Current Chances to pierce through the armor: 10% (Max: 100%)
? Available Luck Energy to enhance: 49%
? Needed Mystique to activate Luck Enhancement: 33,000 units
----------------
Upon seeing the piece of information popping up in his line of sight Raven sighed softly and while limiting his strength to Rank 55 he silently used 40% of his Luck Energy, enhancing his chances from 10% to 50% in an instant.
Swish!
Two flashes, one small and one big appeared the following second before the sound of metal clashing against metal thundered across the room.
'Even with a 50% of chance I have failed, huh?' Raven clenched his teeth as he watched how the tip of his blade failed to cut through the creature's armor even after he enhanced his chances before he lowered his gaze.
'But the same goes for this bastard too.' Raven added as he felt his cloak wrapping around his body tightly, saving him from getting his chest getting drilled through by the sharp lance of the abomination.
'I should end this quickly.' Raven sighed and without hesitation blurred from his spot and appeared behind the creature, which a second later fell on the ground with a wide hole in the middle of its forehead!
"Congratulations! You have completed your trial!"
"All of your achievements now will be evaluated!"
'That was it?' Raven raised a brow. He thought that after this there will be another level, however, it seemed he was wrong.
'Maybe I have overdone it?' such a question only now appeared in Raven's mind, however, after thinking about it for a while he just shrugged.
While it was true that it could raise many questions about how a Rank 43 individual was capable of killing a Rank 55 creature with a single strike, he didn't really care about it. He could just lie that he possessed a powerful Relic or Rune Mark that boosted his strength for a limited amount of time.
As for whether they believed it or not, it was none of his business. It's not like they could force him to tell the truth.
After standing in one place for several seconds, suddenly Raven watched as something materialized in front of him out of empty air.
It was a small silver car with various data carved on it.
----------------
[Avatar ID - Raven Wright]
° R/ TR: 43/33
° Artifact Grade: Arcane +
° Avatar Class: Luck Cursed
° Role: Warlord
° Character Rank: SS
-----------------
'Warlord? SS Character Rank? Wasn't the highest Rank only S? Or at least that is what Thomas told me before we came here.' Raven scowled softly as he massaged his neck.
Soon, however, he just shrugged and turned around, ready to leave, when he suddenly noticed three individuals walking inside the Evaluation Hall.
'Luna? Also... who are those two beside her?' Raven narrowed his eyes scarcely and watched as the three stopped a meter away from him.
Beside Luna, the two individuals, one man in his late thirties and a young woman in her early thirties stood with calm expressions, both of them wearing the official uniforms of the Realm Association.
After remaining silent for several seconds the man with short black hair, a glass on, and a well-defined physique examined Raven from top to bottom and asked;
"So you are Raven Wright, correct?"
Although still feeling puzzled, Raven nodded, "Yeah, that is me."
"I see. Care if I take a look at your Avatar ID for a second?"
"Sure." Raven nodded and handed the man the silver card.
"So you are at Rank 43 with a True Rank of 33, huh? I see that you also possess an Avatar Class. How interesting." the man mumbled before he shifted his gaze at the last two pieces of information and widened his eyes slightly.
"A Warlord with an SS Character Rank."
"Master Ansell, do you think the AI had an error during the evaluation?" the lady beside Master Ansell asked with a hint of doubt, her eyes just as wide with surprise.
Master Ansell after staring at the card for a few more seconds shook his head and stated, "No, I highly doubt it."
"But an SS Character Rank... While I can accept his Role being a Warlord, I think giving him an SS Character Rank is a little too much."
"In this case, you are wrong, Lia." Master Ansell shook his head while he handed the card back to Raven.
"How so?" Lisa raised a brow in confusion.
"You have also seen it with your two eyes. Despite being Rank 43 he easily defeated an abomination that was above him with twelve whole Ranks. That is something only those with an SS Character Rank can achieve."
Then he quickly added, "Of course, I don't mean that there is no one out there who could fight creatures several Ranks above theirs, it's just fighting and killing, in one strike no less, are two completely different things."
"So when I say he deserves to hold that SS Character Rank, I truly mean it."
Lia showed a soft frown but soon seemed to understand what Master Ansell was talking about and sighed.
"I see," Lia mumbled before she took out a small device from her pocket and asked, "Then should I classify all his data for the time being?"
"Yeah, that would be the best for now." Master Ansell nodded without hesitation, "As for you, please follow me."
Knowing Master Ansell was talking to him Raven glanced at Luna who nodded, even looking a little excited as she did that.
'Just who is this guy? Master Ansell... I have never heard about him.' Raven thought silently as he followed after the man and the woman with Luna walking beside him.
"He is Master Ansell, the current chairman of the Realm Association. As for Lady Lia beside him, that is his secretary." Luna explained quietly.
'He is the chairman of the Realm Association? I thought it was someone else.' Raven thought with a slight hum, 'I wonder what he wants to talk about.'
However, strangely enough, he was not brought inside an office where he thought he will be interrogated as he expected. No, instead, he was brought inside a large room where several figures were already waiting for something or someone.
And among these individuals, Raven was shocked to see not one, not two, but three familiar faces!
'Okay. For real... What the hell is happening here?'
