Chapter 118 - New Arrivals 2

In a secret underground bas.e.m.e.nt, sat 4 people: Lan, Li Hua, Paul Reyes, and Clark Williams.

Paul was doing some research on his laptop while Clark pondered over the information he got from them.

"You two said my daughter is in your dimension called Luo Ye and is your mistress' lookalike?"Clark asked.

"Yes," Lan and Li Hua replied in unison.

"So..tell me, how did my daughter go there?"Clark asked.

"We really don't know much but I think that my mistress uses a forbidden technique to summon your daughter. From our little knowledge, such technique results in the loss of life for the summoner."Lan explained.

"So your mistress is late?"Clark asked again.

"Yes. Sir, you don't have to worry too much. Your daughter is safe. She has a very powerful beast called Long Ren as her contracted pet."Li Hua explained.

"Your story seems true but what were you guys doing inside my child's room?"Clark asked.

"It was an accident. We wanted to teleport to a nearby building who knew it would take us here" said Lan.

"I get it. Thieves sure have convincing manners" Clark concluded with a nod.

"Sir, we are not thieveas" Li Hua defended unable to take the insult.

"If your your not thieves, what your proof?"Paul asked, his eyes still on the laptop.

Immediately, Lan condensed a fireball and threw it at the laptop which immediately exploded,the impact sent Paul Reyes to the wall.

Li Hua also condensed a fireball and threw it at Paul but he managed to get up quickly and dodge it.

"Nice reflexes" Lan commented before sending out two fireballs after paul.

He dodged the first one easily but couldn't dodge the other.

It surrounded him and formed fire chains.

Li Hua whistled and the chains began to tighten around Paul.

Seeing this, Clark believed they were telling the truth.

If they were thieves, they would have gotten what they want without him finding them.

"Enough! I believe you now" said Clark.

At that, both of them turned to look at Clark.

The fire chains disappeared and Paul crashed to the ground weak and gasping for breath.

Gosh! These two girls are no joke.

"Paul, go get yourself treated and announce that I have stopped the search for Theresa. Even if they find her body whether dead or alive, they shouldn't bother to bring her" Clark said to Paul.

"You two...i want to send you to china,you'll work as cleaners in one of the companies we partnered with. Paul, get Jerry Mccartney to train them before they go there. You two, Lan and Li Hua, unless one threatens to kill you, you are not allowed to use your powers. This is not your world where you fight and kill each other every day. Behave yourselves. While working as part-time cleaners,you'll also do some research on whether my daughter has any hopes of coming back" said Clark.

"She might not come back at all but she might be able to find a way to communicate with you even if it takes long" said Lan.

"Also please don't go about wearing these clothes there .I'll order someone to teach you our code of dressing here," said Clark.

Both of them nodded and Lan rolled her eyes at Paul as if warning him not to underestimate them again.
