''Nobody seems to be here'' Kash said as they stood at the alley.
''This place looks deserted. Are you sure this was the place Mai asked us to come?'' Liyah Myers asked as she stood next to Leo Martins
''Yes, this is the place in the letter'' Aaron Saint said.
''Look at this blood. Is fresh'' Leo Martins saw the blood and went up close to check. ''This hasn't been long. The blood is still fresh, Aaron''.
''Could this have been Mai's work?'' Liyah asked.
The beggar heard the chattering and removed the blanket startling them. Leo Martins held Liyah as she stepped back.
''Are you here for the girl?'' The beggar asked timidly as if horrified by something he saw.
''Yes, did you see her?'' Aaron Saint went closer to him asking.
''Yes, the girl…she... who is she? What kind of person is she?'' the beggar asked.
"Did something happen here?'' Aaron Saint asked the beggar and he nodded his head.
"All this blood belongs to the thugs that operate around here. The girl, she..." the beggar narrated to them everything that happened and then handed the letter over to Aaron Saint. ''she asked me to make sure you got this note''.
"'Thank you'' Aaron Saint took the letter and looked at it.
''Is she really playing hide and seek with us?'' Leo Martins asked.
''Does it look otherwise?'' Aaron Saint responded walking out of the Aaron Saint. ''let's go''.
''Where is the location this time?'' Kash asked. Aaron Saint threw the paper at them feeling frustrated. Leo Martins and Liyah walked to Kash and they read the note.
''Is going to get more interesting. I just killed six men and now on the run. I think I might go to a place that can produce enough noise for healing. Find me if you can''.
''Find me if you can? This girl is really a nutcase. How are we going to find her with such a vague hint?'' Leo Martins lamented.
" This Mai is truly crazier than I thought. She is even playing hide and seek with us" Dr. Kash added
"I hope she doesn't end up hurting herself" Liyah said worriedly.
''Let's go, what are you doing there?'' Aaron Saint shouted at them and they put the letter away and followed him.
''How are we going to find her, Aaron?'' Kash asked as he drove. He had taken over the driver's seat as Aaron Saint was not mentally sound anymore.
''We are going to search all the clubs in D-City. This girl had better be okay when I find her'' Aaron Saint said.
SUPERNOVA CLUB.
The music was so loud when Mai walked into the club. She had long washed up somewhere and changed into a different outfit fit for clubs before arriving. June likes places like this she thought as the memory of her other personality came to mind but she quickly dismissed it.
Mai walked to the counter and sat down. The bartender finished serving a lady and walked to Mai asking ''hi Miss, what would you like to drink?''
Mai sized the bartender up and spoke in a flirty tone ''what do you suggest? I'm all up for a surprise. Surprise me'' Maid said and looked at the bartender and gave him a wink.
Just then, Lucas aka Sebastian walked to her saying ''I suggest common enemy''. Sebastian said and looked at Mai lustfully.
He had seen her the moment she walked into the club. At first he didn't believe his eyes but after studying her he realised she was indeed the one. Her short hair made her easy to recognise so he decided to approach her.
Mai looked at him from head to toe and asked impatiently ''who are you?''
Sebastian looked at her confused for a moment and laughed saying ''you don't remember me? I gave you flowers and visited you at the villa a number of times. I even set up your laboratory for you. I feel hurt that you still act like we haven't met before August Maijune. My heart is hurt''.
At the mention of the laboratory, Mai looked at him interestingly. She remembered him now. Mai checked him out and murmured to herself "not bad but too bad, you're my taste"
The bartender ignored Sebastian and spoke to Mai '"Miss, should I get you what he suggested?'' Mai snapped back to her senses.
''I said you should surprise me''. Mai said and turned to face the bartender completely ignoring Sebastian.
Seeing that he had been ignored, Sebastian pulled a chair and sat next to Mai. He didn't want to let this opportunity pass. Who knew this girl loved to party?
Indeed, she was full of surprises. Who knows, today was the night he was going to get lucky with her. He was really going to get some with her, just that it wasn't the 'some' he had imagined.
The bartender made a cocktail out of different liquors and handed it over to Mai saying ''Miss, this is your drink. Is called 'the night is still young and anything could happen''.
Mai took the cocktail and winked at the bartender again saying ''bingo. I think I am at the right place then. I absolutely love the name of this cocktail''.
Sebastian removed his card and gave to the bartender saying ''get me one of those and I am paying for the lady''. The bartender looked at Mai and she nodded at him before he took the card from Sebastian and billed it before making his drink.
Sebastian used the chance to chat with Mai. ''So, I haven't seen you for a while. I didn't see you as someone who would come here? Did you run away from home?'' he asked curiously.
''I didn't see you to be a talkative either''. Mai said as she sipped her cocktail and smiled.
Sebastian smiled as he looked at Mai's exposed legs. She had beautiful legs just as he had imagined. His lustful looks didn't escape Mai's eyes but she pretended to be unaware.
Sebastian stood up and pointed at where he was sitting and said ''I left my coat over there, I will be right back''. Mai nodded at him and he left.
The bartender returned with Sebastian cocktail and said to Mai.
''I would stay away from him if I were you. He is not a good man. He treats women like objects''. Mai smiled and sipped her cocktail and put the glass on the table.
She leaned towards the bartender surprising him and whispered ''trust me, I am more dangerous. I am everything his mother warned him about'' Mai leaned back on her chair and gave the bartender an innocent smile.
The bartender smiled and nodded his head before going to serve another customer that had arrived. Sebastian arrived and sat back on his seat and took his cocktail. He sipped it and said to Mai ''this is good, are you enjoying yourself, Mai?''
''Yes, is good to be out after staying indoors for so long''. Mai said and took another sip of her cocktail.
''Came alone or your guardian is with you?'' Sebastian asked while looking around.
''Came alone. Who goes out with their guardians nowadays? Why would I want to make things awkward?'' Mai said.
''You're absolutely right. Young girls should be able to have fun without any restrictions':. Sebastian added. :'that being said, would you like us to go to my place after here? I have something fun I could teach you?''
Mai sipped her cocktail and saw someone looking at her through her glass and smirked. That must be one of Aaron's men, she thought.
Aaron Saint thought he could find her that easily? He really thought highly of himself.
Mai gestured at the bartender and he walked to her ''could you give me a piece of paper and a writing pad?'' The bartender nodded and went away to get them. Mai turned to Sebastian and asked ''instead of your home, let's go somewhere I have in mind. You will love it''
.
''I'm all in''. Sebastian replied happily.
''Then, bring your car and meet me outside''. Mai told him.
''Sure''. Sebastian gulped down his cocktail and went away to get his car.
The bartender returned with the paper and a pen and gave to Mai. Mai took the paper and started writing something on it as she spoke to the bartender.
''A man will come here by the name Aaron Saint, give this to him for me. Make sure he gets it and tell him he has 30 minutes left and that he should apt his game or bear the consequences''
Mai finished and folded the paper and gave to the bartender and he took it and asked ''are you leaving with that man?"
''Yes, he is someone I've been wanting to meet for a while now. Heaven brought us together. Make sure Aaron Saint gets that''.
Mai walked away before the bartender could say a word and he looked at her retracting view confused.
