Chapter 70: Do I make you nervous...? 2

Name:Love The Psycho Author:Purplebride
The next day, Liyah woke up with a stubborn migraine. She opened her eyes and found herself in her bedroom. Her clothes were still intact. She sat up on the bed and touched her lips saying 'was that a dream? It felt so real. How did I get to my room?'

She got up and went to the washroom to wash her face. She looked at her appearance in the mirror saying 'thank God I live alone. If someone sees me like this, the person will faint'

Liyah brushed her teeth and some images flashed her mind and she stopped. She shook her head and spit out the paste, washing her face before putting the brush away. She turned to leave and suddenly remembered some things from last night. 'Aaaahhhh, no, I didn't do that right? No way'.

Liyah walked out of her room to check the hall and saw Leo putting a pot of soup on the table and she asked confused 'what are you doing here?'

Leo frowned and looked at her saying 'well, good morning to you to Liyah. Come and sit, I prepared some hangover soup for you'.

Liyah went and sat on the dining table and looked at Leo suspiciously. Leo fetched a bowl of the soup and put it on the table asking 'how was your night?'

'It was okay?' Liyah responded nervously as she picked the spoon. She fetched the soup and put into her mouth and Leo warned 'Is hot'.

Liyah coughed and Leo gave her a glass of water 'blow on it small before you eat, I just brought it out of the fire'.

Liyah stood up and stepped back and stopped him with her hand saying 'I'm fine'.

Liyah sat back and fetched the soup again, this time blowing on it before eating. Leo watched her and she looked up and saw him 'why are you looking at me like that?' she asked.

'Nothing, you just look different from last night. I thought we had become closer after last night, but you're going back into your shell again'. Leo said sadly.

'Last night?' Liyah asked fending innocence. 'What happened last night? Did I do something wrong? I'm really sorry. I must have drunk a lot. I usually don't remember anything after drinking a lot'.

'Really?' Leo asked.

'Yes, so forgive me if I did something inappropriate to you last night'.

'Define inappropriate'. Leo asked her impatiently slightly annoyed.

'What's wrong, why the long face?' Liyah said and chuckled.

'You haven't answered my question, Liyah'. Leo warned.

'Well, maybe I might have said or done something to make you uncomfortable? Or maybe misunderstand me?' Liyah answered.

'Uncomfortable? Misunderstand? So, you mean you confessing your feelings to me last night was a misunderstanding?' Liyah choked on her food and coughed.

She took a sip of water calming herself before saying 'did I really do that?' Liyah said playing it off. 'I guess I was really drunk then'.

'What? You guess you were really drunk then? Is that what you're telling me?' Leo stood up and asked her.

'Ahm, Mr. Martins, calm down'. Liyah said.

'Didn't I tell you not to call me Mr. Martins?' Liyah muted her lips. 'Liyah do you know the consequences of your actions right now?' Leo asked.

'Listen, I made a mistake last night. I'm sorry'. Liyah said.

'Mistake? So the kiss was also a mistake?' Leo asked.

'Kiss? Did we kiss last night?' Liyah asked surprised. She really didn't remember that part. She only remembered the part she touched his body frivolously.

'Are you still going to pretend about that too?'

'No, wait. I really didn't remember that part'. Liyah said honestly.

'Forget it. Liyah I am going to leave everything in your hands now. You decide whatever we are. Whether we're just friends, more than friends or mere acquaintances, you decide. When you do, you can let me know. Call me if you notice any strange happening around you, only when is important'. Leo picked his phone and went out.

Liyah put the spoon down and tussled her hair.

It was late afternoon when Liyah now left the house. She passed by a flower house and bought some baby breathe flowers and went to the hospital.

When she got into August Maijune's room, Liyah changed the previous flowers that were now dried and poured the water away. She fetched fresh clean water and put the flowers in it, setting it on the table.

Liyah sat down and removed her diary. She opened it and looked at some of her designs before opening a fresh page to draw. After drawing and crossing out a lot of the designs, she closed the diary and sighed.

She couldn't concentrate no matter how hard she tried. Thoughts of Leo and their fight that morning kept nagging at her. He really misunderstood her this time and she didn't have the confidence to face him.

Last night, she really crossed the line and confessed her feelings. She didn't want to appear cheap, that's why she acted as if it was nothing. Only she knew it was more than nothing. He was such a good man she didn't deserve.

Liyah stood up and turned to pour herself a glass of water and the eyelids of the girl on the bed moved slightly. Liyah drunk the water and sat back looking at the girl saying 'do you also think I'm stupid, August Maijune? I feel stupid for saying those things to Leo Martins. Now, he is angry and doesn't want to see me. What do I do? I feel that I really messed up this time'.

Liyah's phone buzzed and she removed it and saw the caller id and smiled saying 'oh, is Aaron'. Liyah stood up and walked to the door to answer the call and the girl's eyes opened and closed again.

'Hey, yes, I am at the hospital. She is fine. No need to worry. Just finish your work and come back soon. I'm sure August missed you. Sure, who? Leo? He is fine I guess. Aaron, I think I might have made him angry. Yes, okay. You will return tonight? Okay, then, I will be waiting, bye'.

Liyah ended the call and went back to sit. She put the phone away and said excitedly 'hey, guess what? Your man is coming back tonight. Happy, right? I wished Leo was half understanding as Aaron. Then, I wouldn't have to go through all this stress. Tsk! Does he think I enjoy playing hard to get? Wait, did it seem that way? Did he really think I was playing hard to get? That must be it'. Liyah kept talking oblivious to the girl watching her 'If not, why would he tell me to decide? Uh, how do I decide? I want him as a lover and a friend. Tsk!! Does he think he is the only one with a temper? I will show him that even I have a temper of my own'.

'Big sis'. August called.

'Yes' Liyah answered absentmindedly.

'Can you shut up? My eardrums are really paining me after listening to you for so long?'

'Oh, I'm sorry'. Liyah bulged her eyes and a realisation hit her. She turned immediately and saw August looking at her.
