Chapter 175: AI Alice Vs August Maijune 13

A few days later.

''I'm leaving for work, darling'' Aaron Saint said as he got down from the stairs. He went closer to Maijune who was eating and kissed her cheek adding ''the female tutor I found to take you through your studies will come today''

''Aaron Saint, care to explain why the teacher is a female and not a male?'' Maijune asked with cocked eyebrows.

''Because we can't have a man falling for you while I am gone'' Aaron Saint said.

''Whoa. So jealous, don't worry, you and I are forever till dead'' Maijune said and Aaron Saint pulled her closer to himself and kissed her passionately before saying.

''Is good you know that, see you soon'' Aaron Saint said and Maijune nodded her head.

''Yes, be safe'' Maijune said and sent Aaron Saint to the door.

She returned and finished her food before she called Julieta to inform her about the time for the classes.

Maijune went into the library that August Maijune had arranged a day ago for the classes to take place and started reading a book from the pile of books she had gone to buy with Aaron Saint the other day.

The doorbell rang and Maijune went out and opened it. She saw a young lady in front of her.

''Hi, I am Miss Nimoh, the teacher sent by the company to come and tutor you. Miss Maijune'' the lady said and introduced herself.

''I see, come in then. A friend will be joining us soon'' Maijune said and closed the door after Miss Nimoh entered.

''No worries, Miss Maijune. The boss already told me that'' Miss Nimoh said.

''This way, the library is that way. I will bring you a glass of water, or would you prefer juice?'' Maijune asked her.

''Water is fine by me'' Miss Nimoh said and went into the library. Maijune went to the kitchen to get the water for Miss Nimoh.

Meanwhile, Miss Nimoh entered the library and studied the room. It was clean and well arranged. Miss Nimoh looked towards the entrance and didn't see any trace of Maijune. She removed something from her bag and bent down towards the edge of the big table that Maijune had moved for she and Julieta to use.

Maijune entered and saw Miss Nimoh bent down and asked ''Miss Nimoh, did you lose something?''

Maijune's question startled her and she quickly dropped her earring on the floor and stood up with it, showing it to Maijune.

''My earring got loose and dropped down, but I found it'' Miss Nimoh said.

''Oh, here is the water'' Maijune said and gave the glass of water to Miss Nimoh.

''Thank you, Miss Maijune. This library is really well arranged. I am assuming that you did the arrangement?'' Miss Nimoh said with a smile as she sipped the water.

''Yes, I did'' Maijune said but technically, it was August Maijune who did it. Julieta arrived and entered since she knew the passcode to the villa.

''Maijune'' Julieta stood at the door of the library.

''You are here, Miss Nimoh, this is my friend Julieta. She is the one I spoke to you about'' Maijune said and did the introduction.

''I see, hi Miss Julieta'' Miss Nimoh said politely.

''Hi'' Julieta said and went ahead to sit.

''Since you are all here, let's begin the classes'' Miss Nimoh said and gave the glass back to Maijune ''thank you''

''You are welcome'' Maijune said and sent the glass back. Miss Nimoh walked to Julieta and asked.

''You and Miss Maijune seem close?''

''Yes, we are indeed close. Why do you ask?'' Julieta answered and asked back, turning to look at Miss Nimoh.

''Nothing. I was just curious that's all'' Miss Nimoh said and went to stand beside the white board.

''I'm really excited about today'' Julieta said.

''Before we go ahead to start our topic of the day, I want you to remove your phones'' Miss Nimoh said.

''Our phones?'' Maijune asked.

''Yes, your phones'' Miss Nimoh repeated herself.

''Here are our phones'' Maijune said as she and Julieta showed Miss Nimoh their phones.

''Have you seen the news for today yet?'' Miss Nimoh asked and Maijune turned and looked at Julieta.

''We haven't. Did something happen?'' Julieta asked.

''Nothing much. This morning the dean of D-City Research and Scientific Development Centre spoke about the possible existence of AI in our community and he mentioned something interesting in his speech. He talked about the possibility of an AI with Split Personality Disorder. You should watch the news more often. Who knows, they might just be talking about you or someone you know'' Miss Nimoh said meaningfully and looked at Maijune.

''AI with DID? Wouldn't that be dangerous? Humans are already having a hard time dealing with people with DID and now AIs are made to function with DID?'' Julieta said and looked at Maijune.

''I am assuming those who are planning such a thing are the ones who are against mankind. Don't you think so, Miss Nimoh? A human being with DID is enough hassle but now people want to mock those with DID and make an AI that will also have it. I personally think that is the work of greedy and dangerous people who want to rule the world and get power and fame'' Maijune said bluntly and Miss Nimoh's eyes flash amusingly.

''Well, you have a point there but don't you think having AI with the intelligence of a DID patient would be quite interesting? Maybe, through that we could figure out a cure to DID and help people who are diagnosed with sicknesses that they don't even have knowledge about'' Miss Nimoh argued back.

''But, is it every DID patient that is intelligent? Having DID is just like any other illness to me. What makes DID patient special that they have suddenly become a target group these greedy people in power? Don't people with DID have the right to their privacy or just because their behaviour is labelled as volatile, people should want to make money out of it?'' Maijune said back, her temper rising the more she thought about it.

''Maijune, calm down'' Julieta tapped Maijune's shoulder and Maijune shook her hand off.

''Miss Maijune seems to take this personal. Do you know someone with DID or what?'' Miss Nimoh asked.

''No, we don't have anyone with DID. Is just that matters about mental health is something Maijune is highly interested in, that's why'' Julieta answered almost immediately.

''Oh, I see. Well, the government hasn't said anything tangible about the possibility of accepting the Research Institute's idea so there is really no need to think too much into it'' Miss Nimoh said and looked at Maijune.

After an hour and half, the first study time finished and Maijune and Julieta were exhausted. Studying wasn't something they did on daily basis, so it made them tired easily, in all, they didn't give up and decided to spend more time studying.

''You ladies did well, I will take my leave now. See you tomorrow same time'' Miss Nimoh said.

''Sure, thanks for your hard work'' Maijune said and closed the door after Miss Nimoh left.

Soon as Miss Nimoh left the villa and got outside, she entered into a black Bentley which drove off immediately.

The atmosphere in the car turned icy as Miss Nimoh's friendly attitude that she displayed in front of Maijune vanished completely leaving an expression that could not be easily read. She sat at the back seat and removed her phone and made a call.

''You said she was a genius, but all I saw was a kid with a nasty temper whose intelligence couldn't amount to anything, Professor Su Chenli'' Miss Nimoh whose name wasn't really that said sharply and coldly over the phone.

''Don't worry Professor Adia, I can assure you that she is a genius. It must be because you met her for the first time. She has so many sides to her, as you continue to tutor her, you will find out why I asked for your help in developing an AI out of her'' Su Chenli said calmly.

''Are you sure about what you are saying? I left important things at Eastern to come to Suaw Island for this project. I want to do a good job with AI Alice'' Miss Adia whose alias name was Miss Nimoh said.

''No worries, Professor Adia. Now that you have seen both AI Alice and August Maijune. What do you think about changing the face of AI Alice to that of August Maijune?'' Su Chenli asked.

''Professor Su, are you sure that is what you want? I have confidence in my abilities but this is my first time I will be dealing with such a person. I merely asked her about the recent news surrounding the Research Institute's proposal to make AIs and she got wielded up immediately'' Professor Adia said impatiently.

"Maijune is originally someone with a nasty temper. She must have gotten angry because you mentioned her Achilles heel'' Su Chenli said and added ''when you meet the other personalities, you will realise what I said to you before. August Maijune is very smart and intelligent. If she could kill more than 200 people in one night, and even set a whole research centre on fire, what can she not do? I have so many plans for August Maijune that is why I asked you to come to Suaw Island to help me'' Su Chenli said proudly.
