''Aunt, he is the handsome architect co-worker of Brenda'' Chloe said.

''Oh, I see. Hi, so you are the co-worker of Brenda?''

''It happened that way, aunt'' Robyn looked at Brenda who wasn't at all pleased with his actions. He intentionally turned to Chloe and Jenny saying, ''last time, I couldn't introduce myself properly. I am Robyn, a senior architect at G and D Constructions and also the immediate boss of Brenda here'' finished and saw the change in Brenda's face. What she hated the most was been referred to as a junior architect, so he was irking her intentionally.

''You…'' Brenda was about to move forward when Kristine held her back and looked at Robyn. Her glare scared him and he retreated back and Ronald stepped forward.

''Aunt, which wing are you taking the flight? Let me accompany you. The ladies must be getting late for work'' he said with a smile.

''Well, at least someone has some manners in him compared to another one here'' Brenda murmured.

''Right wing, girls, you should hurry to your workplace. Ronald will see me off'' Mrs. Kate was more than excited to have a chat with Ronald hence she agreed to what he suggested.

''Then, I will leave my mom in your care. Mom, call me when you arrive''

''Yes, I will do that. Girls, give aunt a group hug before leaving'' Mrs. Kate stretched her hands and hugged all of them as they rounded around her.

When they stepped back away from Mrs. Kate, Brenda intentionally stepped on Robyn with her booth before turning to look at him, ''oops, I'm not sorry'' she smirked before going to the car.

Robyn chuckled and looked at the mark made on his leg. Thankfully he was also wearing booths if not she would have wounded him. This woman was really wilful, he thought and smiled before taking one of the bags from Ronald.

They waved at them before getting into the car and Brenda drove away.

''Take care of Brenda at the workplace for me. that girl acts strong but she is quite delicate. Don't allow her to be bullied'' Mr. Kate said to Robyn and he looked at her for a while before nodding his head.

Who could bully that woman at the workplace. She always insisted on doing what she wants. If anything, she was the bully at their workplace but oddly enough, she always did her work well, so their boss couldn't complain. In their line of work, what mattered was competence and she had it, which was also why he respected her. She was dedicated to her work.

''Don't worry, aunt. Brenda isn't such a weakling; she knows how to stand up for herself''

''I see. but, please, take care of her. Since you now know each other''

''I will do that aunt''

''Aunt, don't worry. We will always check on the girls'' Ronald added.

''Thanks Ronald. I guess I will be seeing you soon anyways''

After seeing Mrs. Kate off, Ronald drove Robyn to their company building and left. When the latter was about to enter, he saw Brenda giving instructions to a group of foremen who were about to go to the field and he walked over.

''Boss, good morning''

The three foremen took turns greeting Robyn as he stood next to Brenda.

''Oh, good morning. Are you all doing well?''

''If they weren't well, do you think they will be here?'' Brenda scoffed and looked at the foremen who simply smiled. They knew those two didn't get along well and it was better to always please the one who was madder than the other.

''Miss Brenda, we will be leaving for the site now'' one of the foremen said and Brenda nodded her head.

''En, I will change and join you soon'' she said to them and they nodded before going away.

''They couldn't wait to get away from you'' Robyn said sarcastically.

''It's that so? Then, why aren't you scramming already? Aren't you scared of me?'' she stepped closer to him daringly.

''Why should I be scared of you?'' Robyn stood his ground challenging her.

''You… should be afraid and careful of me. You know why? Because I am after your head. You should be careful around me because even I don't know what I will do to you if you keep getting in my way''

''Cute'' he muttered and leaned closer to her ears, ''what to do? I am looking forward to what you will do to me'' he finished and bit her ears making her freeze.

''Hey!!!'' Brenda screamed at him and he smiled walking away, ''assh. That man just keeps getting on my nerves'' she screamed and turned to go inside and saw their boss looking at them with a knowing smirk. She walked up to the 40 something old woman.

''Miss Bel, did you see that? That man and I can never get along'' she pointed at Robyn who was going inside.

''From what I saw, you two seemed to be getting along very well?'' the woman spoke suggestively.

''Which eye of yours saw that we were getting along?'' Brenda felt like she was talking to the air.

''Brenda, handle it among yourselves. You know I don't get involved with conflict between workers''

''Miss Bel!!'' Brenda stomped her feet on the ground.

''I only care about results'' Miss Bel said and patted her shoulder before going inside.

Brenda cussed. Her boss was just too righteous. But Brenda couldn't hate her. The woman had helped her the time she needed it the most. A lot of company owners didn't employ women in their sector. It was because of this that her boss set up her own construction company. She wanted to change the mind-set of the people in their industry.

Miss Bel was also a senior of her late sister. After the death of her sister, Miss Bel had encouraged and also supported her so, she owed her too much and also looked up to her. Brenda sighed and went inside the building.

When she left, a car at a distance rolled down its window and a man looked out of the window saying, ''finally found you, Brenda'' the man smiled before driving away.

Kristine was the first to arrive home today. She quickly changed into a casual green blouse and chevron skirt and went to the kitchen to prepare something while she waited for the others. She was the one cooking that day. She poured a glass of juice for herself.

She heard the doorbell and wiped her hands before going over, picked the glass of juice along the way and sipped it. This time, she didn't open the door quickly. She checked on the intercom first and saw Ronald before she opened the door.

''Ronald?'' she was surprised to see him there.

''How are you?'' Ronald went inside holding a bag in his hand. He took the glass from her and drunk some of the juice as he went over to the hall.

''You… I just drunk from the glass'' Kristine flushed.

''Really? I thought you made it to welcome me'' he said casually and placed the glass down.

Kristine scratched her hair. Why did she feel that the sentence felt like they were a married couple? Why would she make a drink to welcome him? She shook her head.

''Come here'' he beckoned on her lifting the bag up. ''This is for you''

''What is this?'' Kristine took the bag and checked the contents, ''it's a dress. Why did you buy me a dress?''

''Chloe told me that you liked this dress and that it will make someone in your family go crazy, so I bought it for you''

''Aye, Chloe, that babble mouth. Ronald, the dress is expensive. I can't accept it''

''Take it as a gift from me. I want you to look beautiful and confident when we go to meet with your family next tomorrow''

''But…''

''If you consider me a partner, then you should accept it''

''Just this once, then'' Kristine took the bag.

''No worries. Are you busy?'' he looked at the apron on her.

''En, I was preparing something for the girls. I am on duty today''

''You do shifts, that's great. Then, I won't take much of your time. I have to go and pick up Robyn and my niece''

''En, go on. Thanks for the dress''

Ronald drunk the rest of the juice before taking his leave. Kristine walked him to the door and went outside to see him off. she waited for him to leave before she went back inside the apartment.

Robyn was busy on the phone outside the building when Ronald arrived with Ginger in the car. Ronald pulled over and rolled down his windows.

''Ronny, get in'' he said to Robyn and Ginger peeked from the backseat.

''Oh'' Robyn got into the car and Ronald drove away. He looked back and saw Brenda coming out of the building and he smiled.
