Chapter 43 - The Gossipy Wei Jun Hao

Wei Jun Hao could only sigh and sympathy that his friend had found Li Qin Yao a little bit late.

"That's right, I heard that Yu Ying will come back next month." As a good friend, he tried to change the subject.

"Hmm. The hotel in Y City is almost completed. Grandfather wanted Yu Ying to come back and learn how to manage the hotel from him," Zhang Yu Han said lazily. He glanced at his friend and noticed the happiness in his expression.

Zhang Yu Han was displeased. He had long known that his friend had fancied his younger sister. As a brother, Zhang Yu Han wanted to protect his sister from harm. Just because Wei Jun Hao is a good friend, doesn't mean that he will be a good boyfriend. That was why he had never thought of lending his hand to help his friend courting his sister.

If Zhang Yu Ying thought that Wei Jun Hao is the one, naturally, as her brother, Zhang Yu Han will support her. If his sister did not like Wei Jun Hao, then forget it. Even if he's a good friend, he will not force his sister to date, someone she did not love.

"Are you going to pick her up from the airport?" Wei Jun Hao asked. "Let me come with you."

Zhang Yu Han raised a brow. "Why do you want to come along?"

"It has been a long time since the last time I saw your sister." Wei Jun Hao spoke. "Besides, won't you need someone to drive? It'll be troublesome to get a parking spot."

Zhang Yu Han chuckled but did not give his words of agreement. Knowing Wei Jun Hao for years, even if he did not say anything, Wei Jun Hao would find a way to show up.

"Since Yu Ying will return soon, does this mean that you can start working on the new project?" Wei Jun Hao asked.

"Hmm… I will leave the hotel to Yu Ying after she had familiarized herself with it," Zhang Yu Han drummed his fingers on the table twice before he stopped. "But, I have started to look for a few places. Xiao Feng recommended a spot in S Country. He said the sea view is amazing. But I have not decided."

"I'll keep an eye for you for a good spot."

Zhang Yu Han nodded. "I'm not in a rush. This is the first project that Grandfather allowed me to decide on everything from start to finish. Of course, I will have to plan everything carefully."

The phone in Wei Jun Hao's hands chimed, and he picked up to read his email.

Seeing that it could be work-related, Zhang Yu Han leaned back on his chair as he looked around the cafe. He saw Li Qin Yao stood near the kitchen entrance, talking to the few people at the table.

His gaze moved to the guy who entered the cafe just before them.

Wei Jun Hao mentioned that this man might be his new rival. However, Zhang Yu Han did not think so. It was not because he did not believe that this newcomer was not worthy, but Zhang Yu Han had seen the way Li Qin Yao behaved around her boyfriend. From his perspective, he thought that Li Qin Yao adored her boyfriend very much.

His gaze shifted towards the others on the same table. Coincidentally, his sharp eyes glimpsed at the paper on the table and saw the bit of paper with the QL Group logo on it. He had seen that paper countless times. It was a blueprint.

A frown appeared on his face as he wondered what was going on. From what he knew, Li Qin Yao had resigned from her position in QL Group after that accident. Although her grandfather, Li Ren Xin, had suggested her to return, Zhang Yu Han heard that she had rejected her grandfather's offer.

At this time, the barista called, and Li Qin Yao turned around. She picked up the tray and walked over to his table. Zhang Yu Han watched as she placed the coffee cups gently and smiled. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Li Qin Yao turned around and paused as she remembered something. "I forgot," she looked at Zhang Yu Han and spoke, "Mister Zhang, how is your grandfather?"

The gossipy Wei Jun Hao was the first to react, "You've met Yu Han's grandfather?" His gaze alternated between his friend and Li Qin Yao. Finally, his gaze stopped at Li Qin Yao with an amused smile on his face.

When did the relationship between the two of them progress? Why hasn't he heard anything about this?

Wei Jun Hao turned to his friend with his eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Well, I met his grandfather at the hospital last week," Li Qin Yao said to Wei Jun Hao. Then she turned to Zhang Yu Han and said, "I met your grandfather while strolling around the lobby. We had a brief chat. He said that there was something wrong with his report, so he was hospitalized."

Of course, she was not going to mention about eating together since she had made a promise to his grandfather.

Before Zhang Yu Han could say a word, Wei Jun Hao had interrupted again. "Grandfather was hospitalized?" He looked at his friend with his eyes wide. "Why didn't you tell me."

Zhang Yu Han felt the corner of his mouth started to twitch. In the end, he ignored his friend's question and smiled at Li Qin Yao. "My grandfather's alright. The doctor thought that they probably made some mistakes with his initial report. Miss Li, thank you for your concern."

A slight frown appeared on his forehead. Whenever he thought about the day his grandfather was hospitalized for a night, he always thought that there was something amiss.

"I'm glad to hear that," Li Qin Yao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Miss Li, I hope my grandfather was not bothering you."

"No. Of course not," Li QIn Yao waved her hands and smiled. "I was bored, and it was nice that your grandfather spent his time chatting with me. Mister Zhang, when you have time, you should bring your grandfather to visit my cafe."

"I will," Zhang Yu Han nodded. Then, he watched Li Qin Yao retreated and walked over at the table beside the kitchen entrance again. A light flashed through his eyes briefly.

Apparently, his grandfather had met Li Qin Yao in the hospital when he was not present.

Why didn't his grandfather said a word about it?
