Chapter 91 - Suffered From Another Blow

When Li Qin Yao returned to Zhang Yu Han's office, his sister, Zhang Yu Ying had long escaped giving the two spend their time together. After thanking Secretary Tian for showing her way, Li Qin Yao walked over to Zhang Yu Han's desk and looked around the room.

"Where's your sister?"

Zhang Yu Han has been watching Li Qin Yao from the corner of his eyes since his secretary ushered her in. Of course, he saw the way Li Qin Yao has been looking around, looking for his sister.

"She left after she received a phone call," Zhang Yu Han said. He pointed at the empty seat across him. "Have a seat first. I'll take you around after I finished this. Five minutes."

Li Qin Yao sat down in front of him and leaned back on the chair. Once Zhang Yu Han saw that the girl had sat down quietly, he went back to read the documents in his hand. However, after two minutes, Zhang Yu Han began to feel something strange. It was the feeling as if he was being watched.

However, when he lifted his head, what he saw was the figure of Li Qin Yao was looking at her phone. He did not know what she was looking at, but as he saw the way she smiled, Zhang Yu Han could guess that it must be something interesting.

Thinking that he was imagining things, Zhang Yu Han went back to read the documents. After a few seconds, he found that the words on the paper no longer make any sense no matter how many times he read it. He can no longer concentrate.

He was alone with the girl he had liked for ten years! How is it possible for him to concentrate on the documents in this situation?

In the end, Zhang Yu Han closed the document on his desk and pushed it aside. He looked up and tried to speak when he found that Li Qin Yao was staring at him.

At this scene, Zhang Yu Han felt as if something was hitting on his chest hard. His heart thumped rapidly and he felt his mouth dry. "W-what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" His deep voice did not give away the chaotic feeling he had in his heart.

"No. I was thinking about how crazy I was to think of you as an insurance salesman."

Zhang Yu Han raised a brow. Insurance salesman again?

Li Qin Yao's lips curved into a wide smile and a soft laugh escaped. "Zhang Yu Han, you don't look like you're suitable as an insurance salesman. Your face is too serious."

Zhang Yu Han felt as if he had suffered from another blow. He did not expect her to call out his name again. Actually, had thought that earlier, Li Qin Yao was only humoring his grandfather to call him by his name. He had thought that she would revert to address him as 'Mister Zhang' when they were alone, but he was mistaken.

But wait. Did she say that his face is too serious? Was that a good thing or a bad thing?

In the beginning, Zhang Yu Han did not pay too much attention to what Li Qin Yao thought about him. That was because, he thought she had a boyfriend, and he wanted to try to keep their distance.

However, now that he knew that Li Qin Yao had broken up, and he had aimed to pursue her, he began to take note of what she thought of him.

"Right," Zhang Yu Han cleared his throat. "Since we are no longer too formal around each other, can I just call you Li Qin Yao?"

Once he finished the question, Zhang Yu Han pursed his lips tightly. Actually, he had wanted to ask this once his grandfather had made her call him by his name, but he was too embarrassed to ask this in front of his grandfather and sister. He did not want them to laugh at him.

"Of course." Li Qin Yao tilted her head down slightly and her hair began to cover her redden ears as she intended to do. Hearing Zhang Yu Han called her name in his deep voice that she thought was pleasant to hear, Li Qin Yao was a bit embarrassed.

Suddenly, their surroundings turned to silence.

Not knowing what else to do, Zhang Yu Han stood up from his seat and cleared his throat again. "Come on. I'll take you on tour."

Li Qin Yao nodded. She then followed Zhang Yu Han around the office and then, move to take a look around the hotel. Li Qin Yao found that the hotel in Y City had different ambiance and decoration from the one in the Capital City. Li Qin Yao thought that the hotel in Y City is definitely grander than the one in Capital City.

After walking around for a while and seeing that the time is late, Li Qin Yao excused herself to return to B City. However, before she could leave, Zhang Yu Han had stopped her.

"I will send you back."

"I can take the train. My place is not that far from the station."

"Please. Li Qin Yao, let me send you back. I would be worry to let you take the train."

Hearing Zhang Yu Han's deep voice saying her name, Li Qin Yao was in a daze. After a while, she nodded in agreement.

Although Li Qin Yao had convinced herself that Zhang Yu Han was not interested in her, there was still that tiny feeling that made her suspicious of this man's intention. Now that Zhang Yu Han had offered to drive from Y City to B City and send her home, of course, her heart was in chaos.

However, this thought vanished when Zhang Yu Han began to talk more about their upcoming cooperation throughout their journey.

Since they were conversing on business matters, both of them wore a serious expression on their face.

"I have talked to President Lu from NEXT Group and he is interested to invest in QL Project in B City. If you're free next week, I will arrange for a meeting. Coincidentally, he will be visiting Y City."

Li Qin Yao's face brightened up at his words. If she can have NEXT Group to invest in the project, then she will no longer have to worry about finding another investor. Then, she can concentrate on winning the tender. Li Qin Yao thought that she was lucky to meet Zhang Yu Han and his grandfather.

"Since you are our most important investor, I wanted to introduce you to another of our investors before we submit the tender. Are you familiar with MH Group in L City?"

Zhang Yu Han nodded. He had heard of MH Group after he returned to the country. Similar to QL Group, they were in real estate. At that time, the news was reporting the MH Group's Chairman sudden illness. Their stocks plummeted due to the incident. In the end, his two sons took over the company and worked together to stabilize the company.

"MH Group had experienced in building an attraction park. When their current vice-president heard that I had the intention to build an attraction park in B City, he offered to help."

Zhang Yu Han paused. "The vice-president? Mo Cheng Yi?"

"You know him?"

"I've heard of him. He is famous in the business world after he and his elder brother took over the MH Group after the chairman was hospitalized," Zhang Yu Han said. Seeing the way the girl in front of him was smiling, Zhang Yu Han raised his brow. He had seen Vice-President Mo a few times and knew that he can be considered good looking. "How are you acquainted with him?"

Li Qin Yao tilted her head. "You can say that he's my senior."

Suddenly, Zhang Yu Han had a foreboding. A deep frown appeared on his face as his thought was filled with random thoughts on Vice-President Mo.

"Well, we're here."

Zhang Yu Han frowned when he realized that they have arrived at Li Qin Yao's apartment. He began to think that the distance between Y City and B City was not that far. He wanted to spend more time with her.

However, he could only nod, say his goodbye and watched her as she disappeared into the apartment building.

Once he could no longer see Li Qin Yao's figure, Zhang Yu Han took out his phone and dialed a number as he recalled the conversation he had with his sister earlier on.

"Jun Hao," he spoke as the phone was connected. "I need you to look into someone."
