Chapter 107 - Almost Like a Double Date

When Zhang Yu Han thought of how he had tormented himself for days because of VP Mo, he felt very stupid. VP Mo and Li Qin Yao were close, but their relationship was not as what he thought.

On that day, Zhang Yu Han found out that the three of them studied at the same university. Fan Yun Xi and Li Qin Yao were roommates and the two of them were close. Fan Yun Xi and Mo Cheng Yi were childhood sweetheart and that was how Li Qin Yao became an acquaintance with him.

Moreover, because QL Group and MH Group were in the same industry, Li Qin Yao's relationship with VP Mo was pretty close and thus, they would always keep in touch. In the past when MH Group was facing a crisis, Li Qin Yao was among those who had offered her help.

It was probably better if he did not jump into the conclusion that fast next time.

Zhang Yu Han stole a glance at Li Qin Yao and subconsciously, his lips curved into a helpless smile. The four of them were walking around the site in B City, where Li Qin Yao was giving Mo Cheng Yi a tour. Once in awhile, VP Mo would say a few words to give some ideas.

The sun rose high as they walked around. Seeing that both Li Qin Yao and VP Mo were still discussing something regarding the attraction park, Zhang Yu Han walked towards his Cayenne and came back with two black umbrellas. He held the umbrellas in each hand and shaded them from the glaring sun.

"Thank you," Mo Cheng Yi smiled brightly at Zhang Yu Han before he took the umbrellas from his hand and shared the umbrella with his fiance.

Zhang Yu Han returned his smile before he stood quietly behind Li Qin Yao and shaded her from the glaring sun.

As Li Qin Yao noticed that the light was blocked by an umbrella, she swiftly turned around and was surprised to see Zhang Yu Han behind her. She reached out her hand to hold the umbrella but stopped herself once she realized that it was not appropriate.

If she was the one who was holding the umbrella, then, Zhang Yu Han will not be able to stand under it. She was too short, and Zhang Yu Han was too tall. In the end, Li Qin Yao gave a polite smile to Zhang Yu Han before she continued to discuss the matter with both Mo Cheng Yi and Fan Yun Xi.

Because Zhang Yu Han did not know much about real estate and development, he could only choose to stay around and listened as they discussed.

The four of them stayed around the site for hours. Seeing that it was around lunch hour, Li Qin Yao invited them to a famous restaurant around. Because they have not booked a private room, the four of them choose to sit in the dining area where Mo Cheng Yi and his fiance sat with each other, and both Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han on the opposite.

As Zhang Yu Han looked at his surroundings, he began to think that the setup was almost like a double date. At this thought, Zhang Yu Han's face turned a bit red. Fortunately, a waiter came over with a menu card, so Zhang Yu Han was able to hide his face from the others.

The waiter walked away once they have placed their order. Mo Cheng Yi leaned forward and glanced at both Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han. "I'm curious. Yao Yao, how are you acquainted with Director Zhang? Seeing that Zhang Group had agreed to invest in your project, I guess that your relationship was more than friends?"

"Senior Mo, you're thinking too much," Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Yu Han and saw that he too was looking at her. Quickly, Li Qin Yao looked away. Somehow, Mo Cheng Yi's question made her embarrass to look at Zhang Yu Han.

Fan Yun Xi began to nudge Mo Cheng Yi under the table. Once Mo Cheng Yi noticed that his question had made the atmosphere uncomfortable, he pursed on his lips and wished that he had not asked that out loud. No matter how curious he was, he should only ask his junior when they were in private.

Of course, Zhang Yu Han noticed how the girl beside him was embarrassed. He looked at Mo Cheng Yi and said, "VP Mo, I guess you could say that my meeting with Li Qin Yao began with a coincidence." He glanced at Li Qin Yao and smiled. "At that time, she thought that I was selling insurance."

When Li Qin Yao recalled the time she met Zhang Yu Han in that sushi restaurant, a smile curved on her lips. It was a meeting that led them into a few more coincidental meetings. Somehow, along the way, Zhang Yu Han agreed to invest in the project when he heard that she was searching for investors. In the end, they became friends.

"Moreover, the one who suggested me to invest in this project was my grandfather, Chairman Zhang. In a way, you could say that Li Qin Yao and my grandfather are friends."

Li Qin Yao began to ease up and she turned to Zhang Yu Han with a grateful smile.

As they heard Zhang Yu Han retold the story about how his grandfather had suggested him to invest in the development project, Fan Yun Xi continued to stare at Zhang Yu Han as her mind thought of something. Her eyes widened when a thought crossed her mind. She looked at Li Qin Yao and smiled.

"Yao Yao," Fan Yun Xi reached her hands across the table and held on Li Qin Yao's hands. "Do you remember that band you like in university? What are they called? Yes. TIME."

Li Qin Yao stiffened at the question. Of course, she still remembered that band. The lead singer of that band had a deep, vibrating voice whenever he was speaking. It was after she had listened to his voice that Li Qin Yao began to notice her fascination towards men with a deep voice. It was also because Zhang Yu Han had a similar voice that she found herself attracted to him.

But, why did Fan Yun Xi asked this question about the band unexpectedly?

When Li Qin Yao saw the way her friend was hinting with her eyes, Li Qin Yao realized that Fan Yun Xi might have noticed something. Anyway, Fan Yun Xi was her roommates during the phase when she had listened to that band. Fan Yun Xi knew how much she liked to listen to men with a deep voice.

However, in front of Zhang Yu Han, she could only pretend that she knew nothing. Li Qin Yao

thought that if he knew that she found his voice to her liking, she would probably die from embarrassment.

"I remember," Li Qin Yao nodded. However, she gave a warning gaze to her friend. "What about them?"

Fan Yun Xi let out a chuckle when she noticed that gaze. "It's nothing. I heard that the group will be on tour soon. If you're free, let's go together."

The four of them enjoyed lunch together before Zhang Yu Han send the couple back to their hotel to rest.

"You only arrived in B City last night. Why do you have to return to L City this quick? Stay a few more days. I'll take you guys around to play," Li Qin Yao was dissatisfied upon hearing that the couple decided to return to L City the first thing in the morning. The couple even refused her when she said that she wanted to come over and send them off.

"You know that MH Group had expanded in other business as well," Fan Yun Xi said. "Actually, both Cheng Yi and his brother were busy, but his father urged us to come over and take a look at your project and help you with anything that we can. The last time, you have helped Cheng Yi and his brother. It doesn't feel right if we only send some people to assist you with the attraction park without coming here and look."

Li Qin Yao pouted as she exchanged a few more words with Fan Yun Xi.

"Right. Yao Yao, the tender submission will be in a few days, right?" Mo Cheng Yi said after a while. "Good luck. After you win, you and Director Zhang should come over to L City to play. You should come and look at our attraction park before the construction in B City begins."
