Chapter 129 - Insecurity

The two of them entered the restaurant and a waiter quickly led them to a private room. However, just before they entered the room, Li Qin Yao tugged at Zhang Yu Han's sleeve.

"What's wrong?" Zhang Yu Han looked at her with worry.

"I forgot to ask you something," Li Qin Yao lowered her head and bit her lips.

"Hmm?" Zhang Yu Han gently scratched at the back of her hands to urge her to continue.

"Your grandfather, did you tell him about us?"

Zhang Yu Han was stunned when he heard her question. However, he liked the way she had referred to them as 'us,'. Because of that word, there was a big smile on his face. "I did. My sister knows about us too."

Li Qin Yao lifted her head with surprise in her expression. The two of them had only started to date. Of course, she did not expect that Zhang Yu Han would be quick to spread the news to others.

Meanwhile, the only person who knew that she was seeing Zhang Yu Han was Han Yue Xiu. Li Qin Yao did not even get the chance to say a word to her mother yet.

Imagine how she would react that Zhang Yu Han had practically told everyone close to him that he was in a relationship on that very day Li Qin Yao had agreed to go out with him.

Even his parents who were currently overseas have heard the news. If Zhang Yu Han did not stop his parents, they would choose to book a flight to take a look at their future daughter-in-law.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao was nervous to face Zhang Yu Han's grandfather. Although Grandfather had treated her very well, Li Qin Yao was still worried about the elder man's opinion towards her. "What did he think?"

"Grandfather?"

"Un."

The crease on Zhang Yu Han's forehead gradually disappeared as he guessed her worry. He wondered how his girlfriend would react once she heard that his grandfather had tried to get them together on multiple occasions.

If it was up to his grandfather, he would want his grandson to tie the knot right away. Fortunately, his grandfather knew very well that such things as a marriage should not be done hastily. The old man had waited for years for his grandson to finally have a girlfriend. It would be bad if he accidentally scared her away.

"My Grandfather likes you, don't you know that?"

"Being a friend and a girlfriend is two different things, you know?" She mumbled. "Will he continue to like me once he heard that we're seeing each other?"

After that last meeting with Chen Hao's parents, Li Qin Yao subconsciously had this worry that Zhang Yu Han's family too might not like her that much. Although Zhang Jing and her get along well previously, Li Qin Yao could not stop worrying that the old man would change his mind.

Li Qin Yao thought that, if Zhang Jing did not like her, she would be very sad. After all, she does enjoy spending time with that elderly man.

Perhaps it was because they were coincidentally visiting the same restaurant where she was rejected by Chen Hao's mother, Li Qin Yao was slightly traumatized to face the situation at the same restaurant.

"You're worrying too much." Zhang Yu Han chuckled.

He did not know why, but he could sense a hint of insecurity from his girlfriend. Zhang Yu Han put both hands on her shoulders and bent down to look straight into Li Qin Yao's eyes.

"Qin Yao, don't worry. Whatever happens, I'm right here with you." He smiled at her and said. "Trust me. It's going to be alright."

Li Qin Yao was stunned. Hearing his voice and words suddenly gave her strength. She took a deep breath and smiled. "Okay. I trust you. Let's go in."

Zhang Yu Han pushed the door and suddenly, they could hear a high pitched voice. Both of them followed the direction of the voice and found Zhang Yu Ying walking towards them.

Suddenly, Zhang Yu Han found that the hands he was holding seconds ago had disappeared. He turned around to see that his sister was hugging his girlfriend tightly. His face turned a shade darker at the thought that someone had snatched away his girlfriend right before his eyes!

Of course, Zhang Yu Ying completely disregarded her brother's warning gaze, while Li Qin Yao could only stare at Zhang Yu Han with a dumbfounded expression.

Before Li Qin Yao could process what was going on, Zhang Yu Ying had pulled away and looked at her with a wide smile on her face.

"Sister! I heard that you are dating my brother," Zhang Yu Ying said with full excitement. "Ah! I'm so happy! Oh, wait. Should I start calling you as sister-in-law now?"

Li Qin Yao blinked. At that moment, she did not know what to think anymore. But even if she had started dating Zhang Yu Han, why was his sister so excited about it?

"Yu Ying," Zhang Jing cleared his throat. "What are you doing? Don't you know that Qin Yao had just returned from a long trip? Why are you disturbing her?"

Zhang Yu Ying took a few steps back and pouted.

Once she was now free from Zhang Yu Ying, Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Jing and smiled. "Grandfather."

Zhang Jing nodded and patted down the empty seat beside him. "Come. Qin Yao, you sit down next to me." He turned towards his two grandchildren and spoke, "What are you still doing? I'm hungry. Just sit down."

Soon, everyone was seated around the table. Li Qin Yao was, of course, sitting between Zhang Jing and Zhang Yu Han. The waiter soon walked in with the food that Zhang Jing had ordered previously.

"I just ordered everything that was recommended by the chef," Zhang Jing said. "If you wanted to add on something, just go ahead and tell that to the waiter."

Li Qin Yao glanced at the food on the table and doubted that the four of them would be able to finish everything. "That's fine. I think this is enough."

"You don't have to be shy," Zhang Jing patted on her hand as he spoke. "After all, we are almost family."

Li Qin Yao was embarrassed by Zhang Jing's words, however, she was glad to see that Zhang Jing had still treated her the same.

Perhaps Zhang Yu Han was right. She was worrying too much.
