Chapter 161: Finally, the Awaited Moment; Meeting the Celestial Dragons of the Frigid Celestial Serpent-Dragon Realm and Witnessing the Flames of Enlightenment!
To Yang Wei and Sun Yuying, it felt like yet another day had slipped by. They continued their journey, with the golden slime still stubbornly clinging to Yang Wei's right shoulder, incessantly chirping, "Piidi! Piidi!" Yang Wei let out a sigh, growing frustrated by the constant noise, but he resigned himself to ignoring it since he couldn't physically remove the slime.
"We've been at this for days," Sun Yuying remarked, her patience wearing thin. "And we still haven't found these Senior Dragons."
Yang Wei yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Can't you just be patient? I'm sure they're around here somewhere."
Sun Yuying frowned, poking Yang Wei with each word. "I feel like you don't even know where we are."
Yang Wei glanced ahead and pointed towards a set of stone steps leading to a temple. "Actually, it might be over there."
Sun Yuying turned to look at it, completely amazed. The stairs stretched far longer and higher than any mountains they'd encountered, indicating the temple was hidden way up in the sky. It was the first structure they'd seen in who knows how many days. Before this, it was just rocks, greenery, and thick, cold clouds blocking their path.
"Let's keep moving," Yang Wei suggested, feeling restless in this unfamiliar realm. "I'm tired of being stuck here."
Sun Yuying nodded in agreement. "Agreed."
With a goal in mind, they raced up the stone steps, skipping over a few here and there to reach the temple as quickly as possible.
...
After a grueling climb, Yang Wei and Sun Yuying finally reached the summit of the temple. The air here was thin, being so high in the skies, but aside from that, there was nothing and no one in sight.
They scanned the area, growing increasingly frustrated.
"There's no way we did all this for nothing," Sun Yuying insisted, annoyance slowly showing in her voice.
"Calm down," Yang Wei urged, his eyes darting around the empty surroundings. "This is the first structure we've seen since we entered this realm. It being a temple means it's definitely not just some random building in the middle of nowhere."
As Yang Wei spoke, the golden slime on his shoulder chirped once more, "Piidi! Piidi!" but he ignored it, doing his best to suppress his annoyance. There was no point in shouting at an inferior life form that wouldn't understand a word he says.
"I'm in too much of a bad mood to keep searching and hoping we fi--"
Sun Yuying was talking when a loud horn blast cut through the air.
Right after that, there was a deafening rumble that shook the temple so hard it felt like it might crumble.
RUUUUUUUUMBLE!!
Sun Yuying struggled to keep her balance on the trembling structure, while Yang Wei stood calmly with his arms behind his back.
"Where did that horn sound come from?" he pondered aloud, seemingly unbothered by the temple's trembling.
Suddenly...
ROOOOOOOAR!!
"Lizard!"
"You really are daring, woman!"
Yang Wei glanced at the red dragon and then at the green dragon, unimpressed by the drama unfolding before him.
Both he and Sun Yuying sighed.
"I can't believe this is happening," they said in unison.
They were obviously tired of their entire stay in this realm.

After hours of non-stop bickering, the two dragons finally settled down. Yang Wei and Sun Yuying, already seated on the ground, were just waiting for them to finish their argument. "Geez, can't they just zip it for once?" Yang Wei muttered, rolling her eyes.
Sun Yuying chuckled. "I guess patience is a virtue even for heavenly dragons."
"Piidi! Piidi!" said the golden slime.
Yàndiān Huǒlóng adjusted its position, followed by Fēngyún Bìlóng. Though there was still some tension between them, Senior Yàndiān spoke up, "Let's settle this pointless argument later. We'll enlighten these two first."
Fēngyún Bìlóng nodded in agreement, surprising everyone.
"Wow, look who's being polite," said Yang Wei in his naturally sarcastic tone, earning a glare from Yàndiān Huǒlóng and a small chuckle from Fēngyún Bìlóng.
Before another spat could erupt, Yang Wei and Sun Yuying stood up, ready.
The two dragons nodded approvingly at each other.
"Alright, it is time."
"Here goes nothing," Sun Yuying muttered as she braced herself.
Finally, the ultimate sword... Yang Wei thought.
With deep breaths, the bellies of these dragons bulged and they unleashed their powers. The green dragon roared out a fierce tempest of wind, while the red dragon unleashed powerful, smoky flames. Together, they created a swirling, multicolored tornado of fire that enveloped Yang Wei and Sun Yuying.
The fire tornado raged around them.
Now, they could feel knowledge of millions of years flooding into their minds, unlocking the secrets of the Dragon Sword Formation realm and the pinnacle of Dragon Vein Cultivation!
These were the Flames of Enlightenment!
"We are now forever bonded, in an infinite confluence of true spirituality..."
These were the celestial dragons' last words.
