Chapter 206: The Supreme Queen’s Message to the Mashyan World, The Other Side of the Dragon Blossom Sect.
A voice spread out across the entire Mashyan World.
This voice was loud enough that it sounded like an echo in everyone's mind.
"The Heavenly Court has decided to pass unfair divine judgement upon our world. Some of the cultivators of the other worlds, both major and minor, are either heavily injured... or dead! It is not certain whether we will survive this cruelty, however, we shan't let these cultivators, who choose to play with us like an object of entertainment, have something to smile about.
We will hold our heads high, whether man or woman, whether weak or strong, whether courageous or timid. Let us all work together, to fight against this judgement. As the supreme ruling world in the Azure Tree, we must set an example of bravery and strength which will inspire the others even more!"
These were the words of Luó Mingzhu, Supreme Queen of the Linwu Kingdom.
The supreme leaders in other continents that made up the Mashyan World had also done their best to keep the weak calm and to encourage the strong who were fighting to defend the integrity of their existence.
Immediately, a bald man with thin medium-length beards rushed to Luó Mingzhu's side and bowed his head. "Greetings, my Queen." He was an Imperial Advisor who had a close relationship with the Queen as he always advised her honestly, unlike the others who were trying too hard in order to curry favor with her.
Bai Tingguang, was his name.
"What's the matter?" Luó Mingzhu asked.
"The supreme rulers of the other kingdoms have already deployed their most capable sect to defend the Golden Crown region. I have also sent your letter to the Matriarch of the Dragon Blossom Sect, now, we just have to hope they have what it takes to save us."
"I hope so..."
Luó Mingzhu hid the worries of her heart behind a strong face and kept her eyes forward, watching the entire kingdom from the Royal Beacon. The entire sorrows of the people panicking stretched out before her. Their screams, it was endless. The royal guards and a few cultivators deeply affiliated with the Imperial Family, did their best to control the rioting crowd, but it was almost painfully futile.
Bai Tingguang looked at the Supreme Queen, and he could tell she was an inch away from breaking down mentally.
However, what more could he tell her? He himself knew there was no hope for their world. No one had dared defy the Heavens and walk away living.
I know the Heavens are against us... but who else can we turn to in order to ask for divine protection?
...
Dragon Blossom Sect.
The panic was as widespread as the number of disciples of both Dragon Blossom and White Serpent Sect that were littered across the vast sect grounds. They themselves hadn't been deployed yet which left them confused.
Mu Zhihao, Mu Zhong, Lin Feng and Liu Yan were all seen flying at high-speed across the dark skies. Their robes flapped around in the trembling air like waves as they increased their speed with each passing second.
Lin Feng kept his face stern, "It seems they've sounded the Great Dragon Bell."
"This is a world-ending situation, if there were something bigger to sound, it'd have been done already..." Mu Zhihao responded with an equally stern expression.
Liu Yan and Mu Zhong looked at each other with a small worry on their face, but neither spoke a word and continued to fly behind their respective parents.
At the Palace of the Golden Palace...
Matriarch Fangblade flew over to Liáng Xīnyuè and poked her on her fat chest as she shouted, "HOW DARE YOU?!" Her beautiful face squeezed. "You say that like I was lying!"
"Lying? Oh no, definitely not," Liáng Xīnyuè chuckled. "If anything, you're just so stupid it's heartbreaking."
Those words were enough to provoke Matriarch Fangblade. She squeezed her fists and gritted her teeth as she stared furiously at Liáng Xīnyuè. She was already thinking of the most horrible ways she could harm her had she still possessed her true cultivation base.
"What?" Liáng Xīnyuè folded her arms, looking indifferent. She simply enjoyed the annoyed expression on Fangblade's face, it made her feel like she'd done enough to make her miserable—which was all she wanted at that point. "What're you planning to do now? Perhaps, something foolish like trying to attack me with your puny Nascent Soul cultivation."
Seeing that the situation had escalated just a little too much, Míng Huīrán and Xu Tung-Mei (Venomheart) stepped in. Míng Huīrán calmed Liáng Xīnyuè while Xu Tung-Mei did the same for Fangblade.
"Now really isn't the time to be fighting..." Míng Huīrán said.
Xu Tung-Mei nodded, "Especially in front of our Founding Elder."
They all looked at Bai Suzhen who was actually just stood absentmindedly hovered there with arms behind her back. "What?" she asked when she noticed their weird, silent stares.
"Aren't you planning on saying anything?" Míng Huīrán spoke.
"Like what?" Bai Suzhen raised an eyebrow. "What part of I lost almost all my memories don't you people understand?"
Liáng Xīnyuè rubbed her chin and said, "Plus, your other half isn't here... if she was, there's a possibility we'd be able to end this crisis."
"Wait, really?" Bai Suzhen asked, genuinely surprised.
"Yes." Fangblade calmly nodded. "In your prime, it's stated that your cultivation level was comparable to Divine Realm. But, that's as much as I can remember, you didn't really enter any situation where you had to use the true extent of your power."
Bai Suzhen rubbed her chin slowly.
Which raises the question of how someone like me could get sealed... and then, this question of my other half. Still, I suppose now isn't the time.
She looked back at them and then said, "For now, can we suspend any differences you both have? We should focus on the bigger issue here... this divine judgement."
Shaking her head, Liáng Xīnyuè said, "I'd rather die."
Bai Suzhen gave her a sharp, cold-blooded glare and told her, "Simply because I'm not at full power, is NOT an excuse for you to disobey your Sect Founder, is it now?"
Reluctantly, Liáng Xīnyuè held out her hand and said, "For now, at least..." She kept a stern eye on Fangblade who accepted her handshake.
Míng Huīrán and Xu Tung-Mei smiled a bit when they saw this. But then, the two looked at each other with side-eyes and saw that they were both smiling. In unison, they forced a quick frown.
Bai Suzhen clapped her hands together.
"Good. Now, all we have to do is to find a way to stop an attack that is indescribably more powerful than us. Tee-hee."
The true definition of "easier said than done".
