If people came to know that the devil who had been a symbol of chaos and destruction so far was actually a dest.i.tute man, they would indeed react in this way.

"Sorry for shattering your fantasy. However, in order to find out the real reason, it is necessary to tell you the correct information about the devils of the past." (Grandma)

"It's true that Kyle was cold-shouldered in the Magic Division, but it was not the only reason why he turned into a devil. It's obvious that the ultimate cause of his devilization was hatred. The same is true for Schtrom. If we look into his background, we may understand him better." (Grandma and Grandpa)

That's true, but the empire has already been destroyed.

"Even if we want to go and investigate him, we don't know where to begin. It will be a tough task for us." (s.h.i.+n)

"If only I knew about this when the empire still existed." (Maria)

We really can't do anything about it?

We ended our conversation with grandma and grandpa with the conclusion that Schtrom's behaviour was unpredictable and we needed to remain on guard against him.

But it's a shocking truth.

"To our surprise, the devil is a man Grandpa and Grandma know." (August)

"I feel like my values have been reversed." (Thor)

After talking to grandma and grandpa, we told Mr. Steve, the housekeeper, and Ms. Merica, the maid-in-chief, that we would hold a birthday party here. Afterward, everybody came to my room.

In my room, August and Thor still couldn't calm themselves down after that bombsh.e.l.l of a story.

Everybody grew up listening to the legends and heroics of my grandparents, so their words had a great impact on them.

This room with fourteen people, including Elly and May, had a depressing atmosphere.

The information was continuously running in our mind. It seemed that even the air had become heavy and stifling.

However, I still grumbled, "Now people have started to speak highly of me. Don't you think it is unfair? I'm really worried about this." (s.h.i.+n)

What's wrong with them?

Due to such concerns, I wanted to hear their views, but they were looking at me in incredulity.

"What are you talking about? It's impossible." (Maria)

"Right. s.h.i.+n is indeed more powerful than us." (Julius)

"To be honest, it's amazing that we can get such an evaluation." (Tony)

"I hate being overpraised!" (Mark)

"Me too."(Olivia)

Maria said she would not think that way.

"What a strange fellow you are! According to Merlin, Kyle's jealousy arose from the fact that people had a completely different evaluation of him even if he had the same strength as grandpa's. But you're indeed more powerful than us, so we won't be jealous of you."

A strange fellow？

But it's great.

There isn't a gap between us.

"But there are many people who are jealous of your marriage with Cecily." (Maria)

"Really?" (s.h.i.+n)

"Yes. s.h.i.+n, you don't really know how popular Cecily is, do you?" (Olivia)

"At the engagement dinner, someone indeed gave us a murderous look." (s.h.i.+n) 

"Naive! Cecily was the G.o.ddess of every boy in secondary school." (Maria)

"Is it so terrible?" (s.h.i.+n)

"Yes, it is. Clearly, I am not bad." (Maria)

Maria smirked.
