Inside of the main house
It looked like a massive hall supported by numerous pillars, and the floors were tiled exquisitely. The grandeur of the hall was magnificent.
"Peri, long time no see"
"How's the business going?"
"If you ever need any help, remember we are family"
While Peri made her way to the front of the hall, several members of the kentow family. They littered the hall like ants, all flattering Peri, they didn't even know that she was coming. But as soon as they heard of her arrival, they all got prepared and made their way to the main hall.
This eagerness it seemed like they were up to no good.

"All bow, the family head, the honorable Father Thane has arrived" a few minutes later, the captain of then kentow family guard announced. Following which, a fairly short man with gray robes stepped out from a corner of the building and proceeded to a chair at the helm of the hall.
Seeing him take his seat, the members of the kentow family turned their attention to him. This was the family head of the kentow family. Thane kentow.
"My sister-in-law has graced us with a meeting. Today, I am very happy. Let there be a feast!!" The short man started slow, before erupting into a gleeful cheer.
If Leon didn't know any better, he would think that the old fool was actually happy to see Peri doing well.
"Keep a close distance, and your eyes should remain wide open" Leon said causally before walking off in the direction of a home bar table.
He was going to have a drink.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Soon enough, tables were set all over the hall, food, and drinks were soon made available....the atmosphere slowly turned festive.
"Hey, you're from the faceless mercenary company, right?"
While Leon was busy having some wine from the bar, a young man approached. He spoke with confidence, but couldn't hide the intrigue in his voice.
Right now, there was a small compartment open in where Leon's mouth was supposed to be on the faceless mask. This compartment was created so faceless mercenary company members could eat on duty.
Of course, it was rared seen in use, so the young man was curious.
"What do you mean?" Peri raised her eyebrow. She knew that coming here was bound to bring trouble, yet she was obligated by family law to appear. She could only hope that Leon could handle the fallout.
"It's simple, let's have a match. The best way to settle any dispute. The strongest will win. Of course, we won't be too much. If you lose, you only have to take Larth with you to act as your business partner/ assistant" the family head said these world with a lot of easy as if it were only natural.
But Peri knew this wasn't natural...the kentow family of old might have been able to say such things, but the family had fallen.
Even the family head was only at peak of level 1 at the moment. Who would think that such a weak family would demand they settle things with a battle?
"What do you say" the family head asked with a sly smile on his face?
"As you wish" After a brief few seconds of contemplating, Peri nodded. She didn't show it, but she was extremely confident of their chances.
She had an Aquaway noble as her guard, three faceless mercenaries, of which one was a level 3 mage. There was no way in hell they could lose.
"Okay, bring him in" the family head, upon getting Peri's agreement, broke into a big smile. Her overconfidence would be her undoing.
A few minutes later, a chained up lady was brought to the center of the hall facing directly towards Peri and her group.
Immediately, the tables and chairs were moved, with the atmosphere of the hall becoming more tense.
"Ether" Leon, who was still at the side, noticed the new arrival and almost immediately got excited. This person had Ether in her eyes. This meant only one thing.
She was a warlock and one at level 2 at that
Ever since the encounter with the Warlock in the undercity, Leon had become obsessed with level 2 Warlocks. He needed to study their path of evolution to understand how he would move forward in his.
But unfortunately, it seemed like in the whole of Duan city, there were no warlocks of level 2. He just couldn't find them. He was even planning to go down to the undercity after this Mission to find some, but luck was on his side.
There was one right here.
"You can take her, right?" Peri turned to Arian and asked. To which Arian replied with a simple nod.
A level 3 mage versus a level 2 warlock. She could win this battle in a few seconds and it wouldn't be a surprise.
However, she didn't account for what Leon would say next.
"Will you agree to a two on one?, One peak level 1 and the other beginner level 1" Leon's voice resounded.
Immediately, everyone turned to look at his figure. Hid first few words shocked them. But the next few reduced the tension.
However, it still didn't make sense. Why would they bring out two a level 1 mages?
Was it possible that they didn't have a single level 2 mage with them?
