Chapter 107 Levelling Up 'Wind Blade”[1]

Name:Manaless Mage Author:

Just like before, Harry simply stepped back slightly, dodging the attack again.

This naturally infuriated Jon who increased the intensity of his attacks even more, but, Harry simply weaved through everything thing using seemingly simple movements.

'I can't keep wasting time here.' Harry mumbled inwardly. The only reason he had kept this up until now was because he hoped the elementalist would show him something interesting, however, what he had seen so far was pretty disappointing.

In the academy, he had always held back, up to the point that it started to annoy him.

Since he was in the beast forest, he thought that he wouldn't have to hold back so much and could even show some more of his skills, especially since he was currently facing Elementalist at his age range.

Seeing that Harry kept escaping his attacks, Jon decided to retreat as he was already running out of mana.

However, just as he was about to step back, Harry's hand suddenly extended towards him.

Shocked by this sudden movement, Jon instinctively tried to move away from Harry's hand.

"Lightning Ball." Harry softly muttered.

Almost Immediately, a small ball of lightning formed in front of his palm, the ball spun rapidly for a second before suddenly shooting towards Jon.

Jon's eyes immediately widened when he saw the lightning ball, he immediately tried to move away from the trajectory of the attack, but unfortunately, he was too slow.

Things were even worse for him since he wasn't too far from the attack.

Within seconds, the ball of lightning hit Jon in the face with full force.

"Arrg!!" He screamed in pain. All parts of his face were stinging and his face had turned so red that even a tomato couldn't compare.

All the hair on his head stood upright like thin spikes, creating a rather comical scene.

He kept scratching his face in a bid to ease the pain, while slowly stepping backwards.

A weird glint flashed through Harry's eyes as he watched the green haired boy writhe in agony.

He had actually been aiming for his shoulder, but Jon moved too quickly, causing him to lose focus and the lightning ball hit his face instead.

A wry smile appeared on his face as he turned around and started leaving.

Unlike the last time, no one followed him, not like they could anyway; one was still groaning in pain and both of them were already low on mana.

As Earl stared at the vanishing figure of the brown haired Elementalist, only one thought was in his mind: 'How is he so strong…?'

The thought of attacking again didn't even cross his mind, he just felt glad that Harry didn't take anything from them.

'It's safe to say this might not be the last time I would face a similar situation.' Harry mumbled inwardly.

Since he was in the beast forest, there would always be people hoping to steal kills from others.

Though he still hadn't gone too deep into the forest, he prepared himself knowing mana beasts might not be the only thing he would face.

He felt quite disappointed that he didn't receive any quest for defeating the two elementalist but he didn't think too much about it.

He was sure he would get a lot of EXP from this beast forest adventure—he planned to.

After walking for a few minutes, Harry finally came across another mana beast.

It was also a a stage one beast, its appearance was dog-like with brown fur. If not for the absence of whiskers and its large bat eyes, one could easily mistake it for a normal dog.

Harry hid behind a tree again while observing the beast, from the stats, it didn't seem like it was anything too impressive.

Harry immediately deactivated [Accelerate] after seeing the beast stats.

Immediately, He felt that light sensation from the skill leave his body, making him feel a slight sense of loss.

It wasn't that he was underestimating it or anything, he just wanted to see how he would fare when going up against mana beasts relying on only his normal stats.

[Accelerate] was no doubt a powerful skill that almost doubled his agility by increasing it by 70 points, if he kept relying on it too much, he wouldn't improve.

Though he was standing not too far from the beast, it still didn't notice him, giving him the chance to observe it properly.

After watching it for a few more seconds, Harry concluded it was safe to attack and revealed his position by launching an attack.

"[Wind Blade]" Immediately a long, thin blade made purely from wind formed in front of his outstretched palm before shooting towards the mana beast in a vertical motion.

Bark!

The beast let out a loud bark as it tried to escape the attack by twisting its body, unfortunately for it, the speed of the wind blade was too fast and it wasn't able to escape the attack.

The blade struck it at the side, leaving a deep cut.

It let out a shrill bark like an injured dog as thick black-red blood gushed out of the injury, staining its brown furs with a shade of dark red.

That one attack cut down the beast health by almost half, leaving it more vulnerable to even more attacks.

Harry didn't waste any time even though he had just landed a hit on his opponent, he ran forward, making slight feints to confuse the mana beast.

As expected, his plan worked as the beast couldn't even follow his movements to begin with.

In its eyes, Harry seemed like a blur that kept closing in on him.

Bark!

It barked once more as if to show that ur wouldn't back down without a fight before suddenly dashing towards Harry.

A slight smirk appeared on Harry's face when he noticed this, however, he had no plans on letting the beast close in on him.

Doing so would be reckless as he still didn't know if this mana beast had a trait or not.

He twisted his feet slightly, balancing himself on the ground before pulling his hand backwards.

"Wind Blade!" He shouted the moment his eyes locked unto his target once more.
