He looked back at the mana beast's body and sighed. 'Maybe I shouldn't be too greedy and just absorb it…'
When he discovered that the mana beast was a four eyed cobra—a young and immature one—the first thought that came to his mind was that he should sell it.
It would definitely fetch a cool prize, but now that he gave it more thought, he felt that might not be a good decision given his current situation.
It might raise too many questions given that he was still a 'stage one Elementalist' and that this was his first beast hunt, while there was the chance that the buyer might not care, he didn't want to risk it.
After thinking for a few more minutes, he placed the body in his storage device.
He would simply sell it later, when it wouldn't seem so suspicious. Using [Mana steal] on it now might not be a very good choice.
Due to the deadly trait the beast used in its final moment, most of the mana in its body had been drained.
He could sense that the mana in its body wasn't that much even without actively concentrating using [Mana sense].
It was like a last resort by the snake that channeled almost all its mana to give it such a terrifying boost.
Since [Mana steal] converted mana into EXP for him, the amount of EXP he would get depended on the amount of mana left in the beast so he would only get a small amount of EXP if there wasn't much mana left in it.
Selling it was better since its parts would surely be valuable.
Harry stood up and made a few stretches before staring off in the distance.
'I still want to hunt more beast…' He mumbled. He was expecting to receive a quest for hunting stage two beasts, but unfortunately, he didn't receive any.
But he didn't think about it for long and simply kept moving, in search of his next target.
Compared to the green zone areas where beasts were rather easy to find, most of mana beasts in the yellow zones were more territorial, so finding two different kinds of beasts together wasn't too common.
After walking for a few seconds, Harry finally came across another beast.
It was a huge bear that stood at two meters with small brown eyes and black furs that covered its body beautifully.
Roar!!
It let out a loud roar before gnashing its teeth, making a weird sound of metal scrapping against each other.
Harry recognized the beast, It was called iron-toothed bear and just as its name implied, its teeth were as strong as iron.
'Accelerate.' He muttered, feeling a familiar light and refreshing feeling spread around his whole body.
[+70 points temporarily allocated to agility]
Suddenly the black bear charged at Harry, just as it reached Harry, it raised one of its hands, with the aim to smack Harry with its paw.
However, its speed was quite slow—at least to Harry.
While he could feel the strength behind that attack, the mana beast's speed was rather slow, giving him enough time to dodge and even launch a counterattack.
The iron-toothed bears were known for their great strength, thick hide and strong regeneration, but one part where they came short was their speed.
Harry immediately dashed to the side, but not before launching two wind blades towards the beasts other arm.
The blades travelled in the air at great speed, and in the blink of an eye, they hit the bear's left hand, leaving a cut that was quite deep.I think you should take a look at
Roarrr!
The bear growled in anger before dashing towards Harry again, this time on all fours and its speed was faster too.
Blood was dripping from the wound inflicted on it, but at the same time, the injury was healing and closing.
'As expected… its regeneration is really strong.' Harry mumbled inwardly.
His eyes squinted slightly as he stared at the angry beast rushing towards him, however, his expression showed no sign of fear.
The bear suddenly raised both his hands up while standing on its hind legs in a bid to smash Harry to the ground.
But Harry had already expected this and he immediately jumped backwards, escaping the smash by a hairbreadth.
Stretching both his hands forwards, he immediately conjured three wind needles before launching them towards the beasts eyes.
In the blink of an eye, the wind needles pierced the bear's eyes, causing them to bleed and rendering the beast blind; though temporarily.
Roarrr!
The bear roared in agony, it subconsciously brought both his arms to his eyes while trashing around in pain.
Harry didn't give it any time to rest or heal though.
He suddenly dashed to the side once more, in order to get a clear shot at the beast's neck.
'Wind slash!' He exclaimed inwardly as he swung his hand forwards in an horizontal arc, sending a powerful slash of wind towards the beast neck.
Just as the slash was about to hit the bear's neck, it suddenly turned, causing it to hit the side of its neck instead.
'Tsk.' Harry let out a low hiss seeing how the beast managed to turn at the last second.
He wanted to simply end things with that last attack, if it managed to land cleanly on the bear's neck, the beast would probably die.
A large cut appeared at the side of its neck, the cut was quite deep and blood bled from it.
Roarrr!!
The bear roared once more before dashing towards Harry, except this time, Its actions and movements seemed wilder.
It kept swinging its hands violently, without caring for his surroundings and only trying to kill Harry.
Though the last attack didn't claim his life, it still left a serious injury on its neck and this angered it. The wound was already healing, but its neck was throbbing in pain.
However, despite its rage and increasingly violent attacks, Harry kept on dodging everything by jumping and moving around with minimal movements.
This further enraged the beast. It suddenly raised both his hands and let out another roar, one filled with more anger and desperation.
But the bear raising its hands gave Harry a few seconds of rest to release an attack of his own, and he didn't plan on wasting it.
'A chance!' He exclaimed inwardly and immediately swung one of his arm, launching another wind slash.
