Chapter 130 – It was as if she was always a person from this world and that memory of surviving in the post-apocalyptic world wasn’t real (2)
With the same process she had used with the fiend core, Ruan Qiuqiu first extracted the spiritual energy from the spiritual energy stone, circulated it through her body for a cycle, and then sent the altered spiritual energy into his body.
Although that quickly improved Mr. Gray Wolf’s complexion, Ruan Qiuqiu still discovered there was something wrong; his meridians were practically broken down.
Ruan Qiuqiu lifted his inside out robe with trembling hands. Underneath the motley yellow robe, the bloodstains were almost congealed. The web of blood had spread all over his body.
Ruan Qiuqiu’s eyes immediately reddened.
She knew it. He clearly hadn’t recovered yet... Attacking Lu Ziran had most likely taken a heavy toll on his body. Plus, he had put the robe inside out. It must be very painful to have something rough against his open injuries.
And yet, he hadn’t said anything and faked nonchalance while telling her his name.
She couldn’t be bothered with those shy thoughts anymore. No longer hesitating, she took off the animal skin robe as gently as possible. She cleaned the dirt off his body and the dirtied fur. She only pushed aside part of his transformed wolf skin pants while cleaning.
After doing all of that, the dizzy Ruan Qiuqiu was already so tired that she almost couldn’t lift her hands. She stuffed the spiritual energy stone that still had a lot of spiritual energy left over into Mr. Gray Wolf’s hand, added firewood to the stone stove, and crawled into bed.
Not minding anymore about the animal skin that had gotten dirty from her shoes, she pulled it over herself and laid down like a salted fish that had been pressed dry. Even while wearing clothes and wrapped with an animal skin blanket, she still felt especially cold.
Ruan Qiuqiu wrapped the animal skin tighter around herself and buried her head in the blanket. Curling up in a ball, she gradually lost consciousness.
The quiet sounds were gone; the cave fell silent.
The heavy rain outside gradually grew less heavy and changed into sleet.
Little by little, the spiritual energy stone in Yuan Jue’s hand became transparent until it shattered into powder with a crack.
Yuan Jue recovered consciousness and slowly opened his long and narrow eyes. He quickly discovered the changes to his body. His meridians had recovery quickly and was mostly healed, but another small piece of his demon core had cracked. His strength as a demon had regressed a bit.
His body had obviously been cleaned and treated with medicine. He felt less painful too, and his stomach felt warm. He wasn’t as hungry.
There was a seemingly insignificant smile on his lips. His eyelashes trembled. He touched his abdominal muscles underneath the animal skin robe and somewhat shyly thought; how did his wife clean him?
Did she clean little by little or slowly put her hand on his body...
His body gradually grew heated, and a strange unknown feeling rose up. His pointy wolf ears and tail popped out and trembled a bit.
Sure enough, she was hinting earlier that she wanted him to do something.
