Chapter 186: Hell Lords about to Appear!
Greenland Island in the Arctic Circle has fallen into a very strange atmosphere.
Human military forces from various nations surround the outskirts of Greenland Island. Without explicit orders from their commanders, they dare not set foot on the island or approach the Arctic Circle.
The entire island of Greenland has been completely reduced to ruins, devoid of any inhabitants.
At the Arctic Circle, the Hell's Gate, under the enchantment cast by Wanda and Loki, continues to expand. Wanda and her companions watch this unfold while chatting and drinking.
On the other side, the X-Men observe the Hell's Gate and keep an eye on Wanda's group. As for Tony Stark, he can't sit still.
From time to time, he flies into the sky, scanning to build a database and analyze the structure of the Hell's Gate.
He occasionally discusses academic topics with Hank. Tony Stark praises Hank highly, calling him the second smartest person on Earth, only surpassed by himself, even more intelligent than his own father.
Whether this praise is genuine is uncertain, but Tony Stark does indeed admire Hank.
As time passes, when the sky is about to darken, a change occurs.
Boom!
The dual magical barriers set by Wanda and Loki above the Hell's Gate suddenly shatter. However, no demons emerge from the gate. Although it appears empty, a suppressive, suffocating aura begins to spread.
This immense, indescribable aura makes the heavens and earth seem to tremble.
The X-Men and Tony Stark involuntarily tremble with fear, an instinctual terror rising within them. This also affects the soldiers on the outskirts of Greenland Island, causing many with weaker mental fortitude to faint from the pressure.
Some soldiers even suffer cardiac arrest and die on the spot.
Ever since being suppressed by the aura from the Hell's Gate, her legs have been shaking as if she has Parkinson's, and her face has turned pale.
Dark Phoenix Jean once thought she was very formidable, capable of destroying everything. However, the recent experience shattered her pride.
Madness? Darkness?
The aura she felt was far more insane, darker, and more terrifying, leaving her utterly powerless to resist.
Dark Phoenix Jean looks at Wanda in a daze.
Wanda glances at her and, seeing her shattered confidence, sips her seemingly endless watermelon juice through a straw: "What? Already discouraged? This is just the beginning."
If just the aura has crushed her confidence, what would happen when facing the Hell lord in person?
"You will face such monsters?" Dark Phoenix Jean couldn't help but ask.
"In the future, maybe. Right now, I don’t need to face these guys; I can't beat them," Wanda said frankly. She is still growing, at most in a mature phase, while the Hell lords are in their ultimate and super-ultimate phases. She can't challenge them yet.
Even with her chaos magic, she can't be that strong. Even cheats need a transition period.
Wanda is confident she can defeat these Hell lords in the future, but not now.
“Wait,” Dark Phoenix Jean suddenly remembers something and stares at Wanda: “The one you love, could he be among those monsters?”
Her words immediately brighten the eyes of everyone except herself, like light bulbs turning on, focusing on Wanda, whose delicate face blushes.
What’s going on? Lover? Who?... Bi Xiao?
Everyone shows interest, except for Pietro, who is a bit displeased that his sister has someone in her heart so early. Though not upset, knowing Bi Xiao’s excellence, it's just an instinctive brotherly reaction.
