26 - Come in and give me a bath

Soon, it was the last day. Jian Ning was reluctant to let go of such leisurely days as she sat in the garden eating her food, when Shang Jin appeared behind her without a sound.

"Let's talk about the deal."

Maybe because she had walked too fast, Jian Ning's breath had not stabilized yet, but now that she heard Shang Jin's heartless question, her face instantly froze. She was slightly angry, but she kept it to herself.

She kept cheering herself on in her heart, telling herself that everything she did was still in his hands, that she shouldn't be so reckless.

"I will go to work at Jane's tomorrow. While I am at it, I will do my best to help you get everything you want — Jane's development, the source of the huge amount of funds, all of Jane's house's resources — everything is fine. As long as you help me save my mother, we can make a fair deal."

"Oh?"

Shang Jin seemed to be extremely interested in the word 'trade', because it meant that they had to take what they needed from each other. He didn't need to worry that she wouldn't do her best.

"However, I don't seem to like women asking too much of me."

"..."

What did he mean by 'getting what you want'? This was it.

Jian Ning's hands, which were hanging by her side, couldn't help but clench. She stared at Shang Jin's black eyes and asked puzzledly, "What else do you want me to do?"

"You've dirtied the jeweled green bricks I brought back from Europe." A somewhat regretful voice sounded from the bedroom.

Even Song Ge, who had always been silently standing behind him, couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth.

"..."

The conversation went on too fast, and Jane was in a state of confusion. She looked down and found that the water stains on her pants legs had all flowed down to the floor, leaving a puddle of water.

She subconsciously wanted to raise her foot and take a step back, but the shadow on the floor suddenly shrouded over her as Shang Jin's wheelchair was already half a step away from her.

He was clearly sitting in a wheelchair, but his body was emitting an oppressive aura, not allowing anyone to reject him. "Wipe it clean …"

After pausing for a moment, Shang Jin no longer looked at her. He paddled his wheelchair towards the bathroom and stopped at the bathroom door, tilting his head and saying, "Then come in and give me a bath."

"... Wash … Take a bath? " Jian Ning suspected that there was something wrong with her ears.

"What? You have an objection?" Shang Jin's eyes turned cold as he looked at her.

Jian Ning immediately shook her head, "No."

She suppressed the desire in her heart to tear him into a thousand pieces and put on a smiling face as she obediently said, "I'll be right there."

"Yes." Shang Jin answered with satisfaction, he turned his back and walked into the bathroom.

Watching as the bathroom door closed and the dim light shone, Jian Ning's heart was filled with ten thousand mud horses.

She could not help but glare at Song Ge who was still standing inside the bedroom. However, the other party was completely indifferent to her, and even spoke to her in a respectful tone, "Miss Jane, then I'll be leaving first."

After saying that, he walked out of the bedroom with a steady pace, not forgetting to "kindly" close the door.

"..."

Jian Ning turned around and looked at the door that was already tightly closed.

If it were not to save her mother, Jian Ning swore that she would not be bullied like a slave.

She resisted the urge to pounce on him and bite him, walking into the room as if she was facing death itself.

They just saw Shang Jin leaning on the bathtub that could accommodate five or six people like a king, her face probably fuming red from the heat, looking at this scene, she actually felt blushing.

Under the white tiles, Shang Jin's skin was a lot whiter than it was in the past.

His eyes were closed, showing signs of laziness. He had one hand on his head while the other hand was casually resting on his thigh. From afar, he looked much gentler than he did during the day.

Just as Jian Ning was in a daze, he threw over a handkerchief without even looking.

"If you keep looking, I won't be able to guarantee that your eyes will still see tomorrow's sunlight."

This seemingly ordinary sentence made Jian Ning shudder uncontrollably, this tone was really cold.

Jian Ning lowered his head and received the towel, he took a deep breath and carefully walked to the front of him and knelt on the ground, preparing to clean his back.

Just as her hand was about to touch his skin, Shang Jin turned and faced her with a cold gaze. His forefinger lightly lifted her chin, sizing her up.

"Wash your hands first."

"You …"

Jian Ning gasped, just as she was about to get angry, Shang Jin's sharp eyes swept over her, and she immediately shut her mouth.

"Yes." She nodded her head stiffly. Under Shang Jin's gaze, she used a disinfectant on him until his serious face calmed down before squatting down again.
