1324 Not Pure Evil
"I must say though," went on Raelle. "You all are wasting my time by talking about these things."
"Raelle, this is so romantic," said Xiang Wai.
"That's stalking," was Raelle's response. "I did not see anything romantic in that."
"Even if it was stalking, it was done so beautifully."
"Just because you added flowers to it, it did not add any beauty to stalking."
Hyson chuckled when he heard their argument and said, "Major, you are really wasting your time. Once Ellie believes in something, it will take a very long time for you to convince her otherwise. And the main point is, you need to be right to convince her."
"I am right," argued Xiang Wai.
"Not really," said Hyson. "It might seem romantic to you but imagine. Someone has been following you silently for ten years. You have no idea who that person is but he knows everything about you. Do you find this romantic? Because I don't."
"Exactly, my point!" said Raelle.
"You best friends are always on the same page," said Xiang Wai.
Raelle looked at her face which didn't show any resentment, pain, or anything at all. But she could still tell that those experiences were what shaped her into what she was today. It wasn't that she didn't want to be a more well-behaved kid. It's just that no one left her a choice back then.
"So, when I came out. My so-called aunt told me that I must have learned my lesson by now. I should be careful in the future not to hurt her kids. After all, I was living under their roof and ate their food. As if, I was living for free. As if they weren't using my mom as their personal ATM. Anyway, let's not talk about that. Let's talk about my heroic acts. After coming out of there, I first cut off my eldest cousin's hair and made her go bald. Then I made wild dogs come and chase my second cousin for an hour. And no, I am not pure evil. I made sure he wasn't bitten. He was just scared. Who told him to have such a small courage? Then I caught some rats and left them in my third cousin's room at night. Oh, I still remember the way she screamed at night and couldn't sleep for a week."
Xiang Weimin had long ago covered his son's ears because he did not want his son to listen to any of that.
"What else?" asked Hyson looking very excited to hear more.
"What else? I set fire to their warehouse where I was locked too. HAHAHA! It was fun."
"You didn't get beaten up again?" asked Hyson.
"No, I ran away from home and went to call my Dad who told me to wait where I was. Within half an hour, someone came in a military jeep and took me away. Then I stayed with Ge and Dad for a while."
"What happened after that?" asked Raelle. "I don't think you stayed with Dad for long."
"No. Later, Dad contacted Mom after her research was done. He had a big fight with her over what happened with Wai," told Xiang Weimin. "He was really mad when he got Wai's call. I was with him at that time. He looked mad, angry, and in pain. So, when he brought Wai with him, he really didn't want to let her go. So, he and mom had a big fight. They argued about it for six months before Dad relented and let Wai go back."
Xiang Wai's expressions changed when she heard it all from her brother.
