1328 Hot Ideals
After breakfast, they all divided the work and started packing up. This time, Raelle didn't sit around like a young lady but actually tried to help. Her movements weren't a bit jerky at first but she learned quickly and helped dismantle the tent and pack up the furniture and utensils. They packed up the camping gear and placed it right where they found it.
Taking the bags they carried up, they started their journey back home.
Kids always have a hundred thousand whys to ask about and Justin was currently no different. He seemed even more excited than yesterday and ran around with Hyson who was the only one who could actually match up Justin's energy.
Hyson took something from the ground and started working his magic. Within a minute, he made a grasshopper made of straw and gave it to Justin.
Justin jumped happily, "Wow! This looks so real!"
Hyson had a smug expression on his face and said, "Oh, this is nothing."
Raelle also looked over and said, "Why didn't I know you were capable of this?"
Hyson looked back at her and his eyes narrowed with a knowing smile on his lips. He shook his head at her, picked more straw to make a rabbit for her, and gave it to her. "Here. This one's for you. No need to be jealous of a kid."
"Who is jealous? I'm not," retorted said Raelle but still snatched the straw rabbit from him. She might have a problem with the real rabbit but this one didn't hurt at all.
"Of course, how can our Ellie be jealous of anyone?" "That's right," said Raelle.
"I must say, your hands-on ability is quite strong," commented Xiang Wai. "All he has are useless skills like these," was Raelle's response.
Hyson looked at the two sisters and shrugged, "Even if they are useless. They managed to impress you. I think that's enough."
"Who is impressed?" asked Raelle.
"Lies aren't your game, Ellie," said Hyson. "How come I never realized that you'd be so easily impressed? Why did I work so hard all these years? I could have offered you this and it would have been enough, no?"
"Who knows if I would have been impressed back then? You never tried so we'll never know."
Hyson tsked at that, "That's right. I missed out on this."
"But I have to agree with Wai," started Shui Xian. "Fai has dexterous fingers. His finger coordination is amazing. It's a shame that you stopped playing piano. Because I think that was really your calling."
Hyson smiled slightly when he heard that and said, "I don't know if it was really my calling or not."
Xiang Wai pursed her lips and frowned before asking, "Are you saying that I am a bad influence?"
"I did not say that," replied Xiang Weimin.
"Ellie! Look what we got for you!"
Raelle took a step back and hid behind Shui Xian even before Hyson could step closer to her. Seeing her reaction, Hyson laughed, "Why are you hiding?"
"I don't trust you when you say you got something for me. It can never be a good thing," was Raelle's answer.
"Oh, come on!"
Raelle shook her head at him.
Hyson slowly opened his hands and a frog came into Raelle's view.
"I knew it!"
Hyson laughed even louder at her response, "Say hi to your new buddy!"
"You better keep that thing away from me," said Raelle.
"Why? It's so cute," said Hyson.
"If it's so cute, eat it! But keep this dirty thing away from me."
"A little germs won't kill you."
"And if it did?" she asked. "You are gonna talk responsibility for my death."
"Don't talk nonsense!" said Shui Xian and Hyson at the same time to her.
Hyson sighed at her, "I'm kidding with you. There is no need to bring up death over such a small matter. You really know how to throw cold water on my hot ideals."
Shui Xian gave him a look.
"What? Don't like my words?"
"Just shut up!" said Shui Xian.
