Chapter 253: Chapter 172: First Comes the Monster, Then the Resistance._1

The Void Rift had not been open for long.

The highest form of life that emerged from within was only of the 4th Rank in strength.

They couldn’t possibly withstand the power of the Destruction Ray, being rapidly and thoroughly cleansed.

Fortunately, they were widely distributed and numerous.

A few Void Amethyst Bugs managed to survive the calamity, burrowing back into the Void Rift.

As they followed the rift pathway, returning to the Void,

a grand and magnificent vista unfolded before their eyes—

This was a desolate space without the radiance of stars, verging on absolute darkness.

In this space, a planet that was once intact was torn into countless fragments, none connected to each other, remaining shattered in stasis.

Gravity and attraction seemed to have completely lost their effect, with no discernible up, down, left, or right.

These shattered pieces, as if turned into a series of Void islands, each fracture teeming with an abundance of strange life forms bustling about.

They transported and cultivated purple crystals, emitting a faint glow.

This was the only light in the dead silence of space.

From a distance, one could see an endless number of planets, stacked together in disarray, just like this one.

Forming an entire expanse of dark purple Shattered Void.

The Void Rift was situated within one of these Shattered Planets.

A multitude of lower level Void creatures transported purple crystals to the vicinity of the Void Rift, where they were consumed by the Void Amethyst Bugs, transforming them into a special kind of energy.

This energy was used to solidify and expand the Void Rift, opening the path to the world of Moraka.

The Void Amethyst Bugs that had returned immediately caught the attention of other Void creatures.

A creature with a humanoid shape, its body covered in mysterious purple satin, tore through space, appearing in front of the Void Amethyst Bugs.

Waves of thought dissipated.

The two quickly exchanged information.

“A being of the 6th Rank has emerged in the world on the other side of the rift?”

Learning that the first wave of Void forces had been completely annihilated,

“The task must be to repel the Void attack, sealing the rift within ten days.”

“In this way, securing enough time for the growth of a civilization.”

“Dream on!”

The Void Commander made a decision in an instant.

Willwaves spread in all directions, issuing commands to the countless Void life forms within a vast range.

“Use your deaths to open the pathway to the outer world!”

Upon receiving the order, these Void creatures immediately sprang into action.

The nearest Void Amethyst Bugs and other lower life forms rushed towards the Void Rift without hesitation, transforming into clusters of energy, detonating.

With the supply of this energy,

The originally slowly expanding Void Rift’s growth rate increased dramatically.

Its efficiency increased by several dozen times over!

Ordinarily, the Void Rift, from both sides combined, would take nearly ten days to fully open.

Now, it would be completely open in just a few hours!

The only problem was that it was a bit more costly.

The Void Commander did not mind these things.

If out of stinginess they allowed the other side to seal the rift, that would be the greatest loss.

“Struggle all you want, in vain...”

“The Void will eventually devour everything...”

It watched as the Void Rift continued to expand rapidly, mocking the powerlessness of the mecha pilot.

Gradually, however, It began to feel something was amiss.

The speed at which the Void Rift was opening wasn’t decreasing; rather it was increasing faster and faster.

Dozens of times faster...

Hundreds of times faster...

Nearly a thousand times faster...

It was expanding, tearing apart at a rate visible to the naked eye!

The sacrifices of those lower Void creatures could not possibly achieve such a speed!
