The four fundamental forces of nature were Gravity, Electromagnetism, Weak Nuclear force, and Strong Nuclear force. [1]
All along, Adam's first objective was to have control over one of those forces.
In theory, any power of nature taken to the extreme could change the surface. A simple breeze could become a tornado, ice, and snow could bring the ice age. The calm sea could become a Tsunami or the stable earth brings Earthquakes.
Out of the four main forces, the reason why Adam chose Gravity was that in a way, it was the weakest out of them all at the start.
But it was also the most versatile and useful for him from the get-to-go as it would be very useful with his Telekinetic power.
He would even be able to fly if he could lower the gravity around his body and by controlling gravity, Adam would be less helpless if facing someone in close combat.
In the same way, while gravity was the weakest force at the atomic level, it was the strongest force at the astronomical scale.
The second one he would learn, if possible, was Electromagnetism.
In today's world filled with technology, simply having a weak control over this force would make him a danger.
As for Strong and Weak Nuclear forces. Adam knew that it entailed a subtle control over atoms and molecules.
But his control wasn't even subtle enough to hold things he could see.
There was also the fact that he was simply wary of using such a power that could quickly go wrong.
Even if he could survive a nuclear explosion, he would be the cause of millions of Death and generation of deformity if he made a mistake.
Like this, Adam began to read and study.
From the simple application and understanding of the four forces to a deeper explanation about the gravitational force that was present everywhere.
But even while he was reading, Adam did not forget to train his power.
He would read two books at the same time using his [Parallel Thinking] and turning the pages with his telekinetic power.
He would also keep them floating as well as keeping all the books around him.
It was quite straining to do so. But the more he continued the easier it became for him.
What was gravity?
Gravity was the force that holds the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps the moon in orbit around Earth.
The gravitational pull of the moon pulls the seas towards it, causing ocean tides. Gravity creates stars and planets by pulling together the material from which they are made. Gravity not only pulls on mass but also on light.
It was a universal force and perhaps the most important one.
Unlike what many thought, the one who first discovered gravity and created theories around it was none other than Galileo Galilei.
He had discovered that all objects tended to accelerate equally in free fall and he finally put forth the [Basic Principle of Relativity]
It was only later that Isaac Newton established his law of [Universal Gravitation.]
This work was refined by Albert Einstein who established the Special and General Theories of Relativity. Which added Time, Space and Light in the already complex system that was Gravity.
From the simple reality of an Apple falling to the ground, or our planet's rotation around the Sun, to more complex concepts like [Gravitational redshift], [Gravitational Time Dilation], [Black Holes] and so many more concept.
Gravity…was one of the very forces that keeps all life on earth from being nonexistent.
Adam closed his eyes.
His vision was obstructed as blood was leaking out of them.
He had read and read like there was no tomorrow.
Theories upon theories were memorized and assimilated in his brain.
Did he understand them all?
No. Not even close. He felt like he was barely scratching the surface. After all, memorizing and understanding were two different concepts.
But, even then – Adam smiled.
He withdrew his telekinetic power but the books that were floating did not fall immediately.
They were falling far more slowly than they should have.
The smile on his face stretched further as he did not even care about wiping the blood away.
"Congratulations."
Adam nodded, "I can only barely lower the weight now. But I succeeded."
He sighed. He knew that he had reached his limits. His brain hurt so much that he felt like it was about to explode.
He seriously felt like he didn't wish to ever read a book again in his life or at least not for some time.
"You should be happy. What you did was no different from creating a skill out of an ordinary book. This is impressive."
Unlike [Appraisal], the books Adam read were not skill books.
There was no one who could derivate a Skill out of them without at least already possessing power related to gravity.
[The World]
In fact, rather than saying that Adam learned a new skill, it would be more accurate to say that he had learned how to better use his already existing one.
'A power that allows him to use all force. How fraudulent.'
She knew that this was a power that stepped in the territory of gods.
For now, he could only cover around fifty meters.
But what about the future?
How far could he go and how much could he eventually do?
'Should I give him more Free passes?'
She had not told this to Adam but those passes were created by using her own Karma.
By the simple virtue of her existence as Eve, the first woman to have ever existed and the mother of humanity, her amount of Karma could not be calculated by any standard.
Even then, freely letting a mortal enter the Library was costly. This Karma was essential as it protected her from many gods who were not exactly happy with her and her management of the Library.
Whether or not this was a prison for her did not matter to them.
'Well. I will try to see what I can do.'
This was the first proper grandson that didn't infuriate her or act like they were the king of the world.
She hoped that he would keep his innocence for a much longer time and she was also willing to invest in his future.
After all, if he could reach Cain's level of power…
Adam could not guess Eve's thoughts and even if he could, he wouldn't mind. After all, nothing was truly free in this world.
He was happy about his new control over gravity.
Even if he couldn't control abstract concepts like space and time, just the four fundamental forces were more than enough.
Gravity alone if he could reach the potential peak would make him extremely dangerous.
"Well, rather than the potential future. I have a more immediate problem."
Eve smiled, "You have been reading for two months."
Adam covered his face as he felt his consciousness slowly cloud.
He knew that he was about to leave and wake up in reality.
A reality where his body would receive the equivalent of no food or water for two months.

[1]: Let me repeat. I was a law student. I only studied some basic physics and chemistry in high school and was never all that good.
If I fuck up any explanation or Adam does something that shouldn't be possible, my argument will be [Magic] XD.
Seriously though. If I fuck or make a mistake tell me. I will research but my knowledge is limited.
(AN: What did you think of this chapter? My first somewhat science chapter. I hope it wasn't boring.)
