[Academy]
For any normal human, the supernatural society seemed heterogenous at first glance. But it was obviously not so. Even without taking into account the different primogenitor factions, there were many different small but powerful groups that one needed to pay attention to.
One such faction was — The Academy a place founded by Bridget Bishop. One of the oldest witches in America and the most proactive when it came to international relationships with other witches, wizards, and any kind of sorcerers.
As a witch, she was only 300 years old which made her quite young for someone in her position. But few of them would lord their ages over her. After all, in their world; seniority means nothing in front of strength.
Currently, Bridget was facing a new hurdle as she observed her new student.
"I must say. You are more courageous than I thought."
Sae was groaning quietly, unable to answer. It had been three days since she had been in this place but the pain never truly went away.
"I told you to not hurry. Thanks to Lilith you were able to open all your circuits easily when she possessed you. But because of this, you have no knowledge of how to properly circulate your Prana. How difficult."
"I…I can do it."
Sae tried to move but chains appeared out of nowhere and restrained her.
"Sigh. Stop. We are not like those barbarous Hunters who only bulldoze everything with pure brute strength. You in Particular, as a semi-celestial beings, should use your race and power to your advantage."
Ignoring the growl Sae was giving her, Bridget snapped her finger, and blue-like veins started to appear all over both her and Sae's bodies.
"We will start with the training wheel."
She smiled. "Those shining lines over your body are your circuits or your Chakras as some like to call them. You can see them as the second veins of your own body and these —"
Two bright lights shone around her torso, "--- Are your cores. The Solar Plexus chakra or Manipura and the Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana. It is surprising that as a cambion who is not even half Succubus you were able to open two Chakra. Then again, you should have never ever awakened in the first place."
Bridget's eyes twinkled as she analyzed Sae's currently naked body. The change in her appearance was already becoming noticeable. The girl had been cute and quite sexy in the past but now, even Bridget who had no interest in women started to feel that Sae was very enticing.
'This is weird. She is too close to an actual succubus even though her bloodline is so thin. It's like she was coming closer to the origin of her bloodline.'
She mused quietly. She had asked Lilith many times but the causality storm made it impossible for Lilith to share secrets of the Astral World.
"Okay let me show you."
Bridget approached Sae and placed a hand on her back.
"Relax, do not fight back, this will end fast."
"Teach, you know you sound like an old pervert?"
"I am not old." Bridget puffed and refuted the claim of her student. Causing Sae to laugh.
"So you accept that you are a pervert?"
"I am Lilith's contractor. You would not believe the things I have seen in the dreams of different people."
She sighed and shook her head, "Well, talking about the sea of consciousness is too soon for you. You can't even produce a simple spell so dreamwalking would be a joke. Now enough chit chat and focus."
Thanks to the small banter, the atmosphere lightened and Bridget started to make her prana circulate through the circuits of Sae.
Usually, this would be a very painful experience but Sae was spared from this thanks to Lilith.
"Now, close your eyes and focus on the flow I will show you."
There was nothing more stupid than to tell someone 'feel the magic.' How the hell was someone who never handled magic supposed to feel something they knew nothing about?
However, by showing the circuit openly and making her own energy circulate inside of Sae, it should now be possible for the girl.
"Although you might not be able to feel it, the magic within your body has been awakened. So the rest will be easy. Tell me, what do you feel?"
'I don't think she understands any of this. Worst case we might have to spend a few more days.'
Bridget did not have much expectation. Even for her, it had taken her a week to actually feel Prana and a few more days to cast her first spell.
This was why,
"Oh. I think…I can feel it."
"...What?"
"It feels like a warm current coming from my lower stomach and spreading to the rest of my body."
"Oh my. This is certainly quite surprising."
She grinned as she realized that she must have found a true genius. She became a little greedy and started to change the flow of Prana.
"Focus on the new flow and how it affected each of your circuits."
She did this for twenty minutes before finally speaking.
"Now do it."
Bridget did not know what she was expecting but soon, Sae groaned a little and opened her eyes, "Fireball."
What appeared in Sae's hand was a red ball so small that it would be an insult to call it a ball and it produced nearly no heat.
She was quite embarrassed at this sigh but Bridget did not laugh nor mock her student.
"Elemental magic is the easiest to learn at the basic level. Of course, as a succubus, this will never be your major. But they can be quite useful during excursions."
She spoke calmly but inside she was jubilating. Now she was sure of it. Sae had won the genetic jackpot.
Many people seemed to think that hybrids were the best in the world but usually, this was not the case.
The vast majority of hybrids were nothing more than lesser versions of the two originals. But Sae was clearly different.
'Is this thanks to the Prince? Or is it because of her own talent?'
Bridget frowned. Even though she had actually signed a contract with Lilith, Bridget did not have the innate talents they had.
"The ideal one to help you in this situation would be Merlin. But that old pervert vanished in the Astral realm for decades now."
Merlin's father was an incubus and while it hurt her to admit it, she knew very well that he was far more skilled and experienced than her. She had studied under him for years and considered him slightly as a teacher of sorts but he was simply too eccentric.
"Very well Sae. Shall we take it a notch higher? Once you learn all the basic spells, you will be able to enter the academy officially and choose your majors."
"...How long will this take?"
"This is a very important process and cannot be interrupted."
Bridget gave a meaningful smile. "If you wish to leave this place sooner and see him again…Then you will have to work harder."
Sae nodded and clenched her fist. There were so many things she wanted and needed to talk about with Adam. So many answers she needed to have and for that, she first needed to leave this place.
"I am ready."
"Very well. Let's continue."
This was going to be a very tiring week.
—---
While Sae was training with Bridget, in the Hunter Association, one of the multiple doors opened and a small young girl with green hair walked out of it.
She was holding a briefcase and was wearing a white lab coat. Her eyes were slightly bloodshot and it was easy to notice her dark circles, proof of a great lack of sleep.
Despite her small figure, the moment she entered the operation room, all the hunters stopped and saluted in respect.
"Doctor! You are finally back."
Mark Smith spoke as he approached her and took her briefcase,
"Didn't have a choice. It isn't every day I receive a request from the Director herself."
She stretched her hand and Mark immediately placed the files she needed in it.
"Hum… Adam Gospel is it?"
She rose an eyebrow as she read the report and the incident around him. The more she went on, the more the light of indifference vanished from her eyes.
"Interesting. Very interesting."
She grinned, causing Mark to shiver and speak hurriedly,
"You cannot experiment on him!"
"For what do you take me for? I have never experimented on anyone without their permission. I believe I am quite the responsible scientist."
Mark could only give an awkward chuckle as he could offer no other response.
Piaget Freud. A genius in the domain of biology that was said to not be any inferior to [~S.K~].
Like how [~S.K~] revolutionized the technological industry, she had developed many powerful elixirs and was like the messiah in the pharmaceutical domain.
Obviously, since many of the elixirs she created ended up saving thousands of hunters, she was very respected and admired by many. She was also one of the leaders in terms of biocybernetic enhancement.
Of course, all of this would not matter much if that was all there was to this. The problem was that she was the head of the psychology department and was the one who would make Adam pass her test.
'I hope that nothing bad will happen.'
Mark Smith sighed as he decided to buy some medicine for his stomach. He knew he would need it.
(AN: Some said they were curious about what our adorable sexy girl was doing. I think this serves as a good transition chapter before the next small arc. Also, give more information about the magic world.)
