Chapter 382 CH 368: SHOCKING TRUTH (2)

All the information Adam threw came like crashing waves on Natasha. So much that her heart started to pound at breakneck speed. She had already been left reeling and confused by all the truth and information Adam had just thrown at her.

She realized that there was so much she did not know about and that she had even underestimated how strong he actually was. There were many things she needed to learn to better understand him. Be it as an individual or as a partner for the future.

But now, despite all the earth-shattering revelations he just threw at her — He was saying that there was one more that surpassed all of those?

Her mind worked fast as she tried to connect the dot.

"You mentioned nothing about your contract with a god."

"I lied back then."

Natasha nodded. Not angry in the slightest. She had already thought about the possibility of him lying and in the first place, asking the source of his power back then was not something she should have done.

'But if so...'

If this power did not come from a god then...

"You are not human."

She looked at him. "Did I guess right?"

"Hahhh...You know being too intelligent sometimes isn't cute?"

Natasha smiled feebly at his attempt at a joke. But now she realized it all made sense

How did Adam grow stronger so fast? How could a humans possibly have such power without being an apostle?

The only possible answer was

"I guess the question is now...What are you?"

"What am I indeed? If you wish to know, I guess it's your turn to speak. A truth for a truth, right? Though I admit I am surprised. I thought you would have a more visceral reaction about me being a mass murderer."

Natasha raised an eyebrow, "Should I remind you who my parents are?"

"Heh...Sorry. I couldn't help myself."

Natasha smiled, "Thanks for trying to cheer me up. Anyway, I have a wolf in me. This is something all werewolves have in a way and it is generally the manifestation of our animalistic instincts."

"I guess that wolf wakes up during each full moon."

"Yes. The Wolf is what we call our instincts so werewolves, they do not literally have one. It's something that can be learned to control and a wolf is only considered an adult when they can go through the full moon without transforming or becoming a beast."

"But you are different."

"I am."

She was bitter, "In the case of true Alpha, we don't have just a stronger form of instincts. Our instincts have their own consciousness. The wolf in me is real. It's an entity born from my most base and repressed instincts."

She placed her hand on her chest, "The other me that I must repress."

"On the night of the 9th, my birthday and the full moon, I will fight the beast. If I win, I will have full access to all the power an Alpha should have and it will only take me a few days or weeks to become a powerhouse. If I fail, I will be devoured whole and will be replaced."

Adam stopped laughing. This matter was slightly more complicated than he thought. Still, there was something that didn't add up.

"I don't think you are the first true Alpha. While this is a fight to the death, they shouldn't have more know-how from previous experience."

"Normally yeah. At the end of the day, it should just be a nascent consciousness. Most True Alpha would struggle, and some would fail but the success rate is overwhelmingly higher."

"But..."

"But I am once again different even when compared to other True Alphas. At my birth, I was bestowed with a special blood. This is also the reason why I am called Silver Princess even by wolves outside of my pack."

She looked at Adam, hesitating a little but in the end, she went ahead and said it. She did not want to lie,

"The Truth was specially bestowed to me by our ancestors."

Adam opened his eyes wide,

"By Ancestor... You mean...?"

"Yes... By the Primogenitor of our race. The first Shapesfiter and Werewolf — The Binge Eater; Lycaon."
