While Adam and the others prepare themselves to board the plane heading to Paris, France for fortheir mission, a certain someone is having great difficulty dealing with a shadow from their past.
"Heh. So... the crybaby's here. How has it been since the last time we met?"
Standing in front of her house, Cecilia was sporting what could only be called a teasing smile as she gazed at the maid who came out of the car alongside Fedora and Natasha.
"Crybaby?"
Fedora looked up toward Aleksandra, an incredulous look plastered on her face, whose own prim and proper smile started twitching ever so slightly once she heard Cecilia speak. The gloom that was practically omnipresent in her eyes shaved off ever so slightly as her incredulous look was changed to a look of curiosity as she survein her eyes left slightly and were replaced by undeniable curiosity.
Aleksandra had many nicknames. But most of them evoked fear and respect as well as awe. Certainly not something as embarrassing as Crybaby.
"Oh, she didn't tell you about it? Then again, I am not surprised. It must be quite embarrassing;"
"Miss Kaminari. I see that your sense of humor is as sharp as ever."
"You can call me Gospel. I like that name more. Anyway. I won't tease you much more, don't worry."
"I am grateful."
Cecilia snickered and looked at the two princesses. Only a few days went by since the last time she saw them but the changes in them were...Astonishing to say the least.
"Good. Good. I cannot make a full evaluation. But indeed. You two have a great potential simply waiting to be unearthed. This is pleasing to see."
Natasha approached a little and bowed slightly, "Thank you for accepting us. I know you did not have to we will..."
"Yeah, yeah yeah, no need to go all formal on me, and if it's money you wanna talk about then no need to bother. I don't need to tell you that no amount of money can buy the tutelage of a zodiac, right?"
Cecilia stopped Natasha from continuing, "My baby son has been all grown up lately and doesn't need me anymore. So I was quite happy that he requested this of me."
Cecilia had been surprised when Adam asked her to train two werewolves but she was not against it. She knew that Natasha was his lover and that Fedora owed him her life.
'This was something I would have never imagined doing two decades ago.'
Theresa spoke to herself. She did not like being alone. This was the ground for many bad thoughts to sprout in her mind and she hated being that vulnerable.
Makoto had been a constant addition in her life for so long that she had started to feel like someone who would never go away.
"I guess all children must grow up."
This would be her first very big mission without having a powerhouse hovering behind her back. Perhaps only such things could help Makoto grow stronger and break her limits.
"Should I visit sis?"
She wondered. She had much to talk to Cecilia about. This was perfect the moment to do so.
Once her thoughts reached this, she nodded and stood up. She would visit her sister and have a good time. She didn't have to stay here alone like some pitiful woman.
"Also not everything was bad."
Makoto wasn't the only one who was gone. The same went for Adam, her nephew with whom she had barely any contact and Theresa had a feeling.
Soon...The current director of the Paris Paranormal Department would understand what it feels like to have the Calamity alarm sound in your district.
She had to say. This was not a great feeling. But this was not her problem anymore, was it?
"Poor bastards..."
She simply hoped he would be smart enough and move all civilians as fast as possible before anything big started otherwise...
"Well. Who knows? Perhaps I am wrong and nothing will happen?"
She laughed as she said this out loud and left.
She was already sure deep down that Adam was a trouble magnet or rather that he was attracted to places where troubles happened.
This was nothing new to her. Mei was like this and so was Cecilia in the past.
Perhaps it ran in the family.
