Mark said with awe. "When the Hunter World's Will begins to choose a person to become a Hunter, it would of course choose the one with the most similar genetics to the dead demon." Searᴄh the NôvelFire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Yuri nodded. "Exactly, Ma—cough. I mean, it's almost magical."
Mark sweated inwardly. She had almost said, Mark. He could see Yuri herself gulp.
Bale didn't notice and said with a sigh, "Such a profound effect but in the end, it's simple. The Hunter World is like the distributor of goods and it chooses the person with the most suitability for the good. You increase the suitability of the person you want the goods to be given by changing the person's genetic structure thing to be more like the distributor's original source of goods."
"Oh, indeed," Yuri nodded. "You could put it that way."
She then grew silent and injected the nearly unnoticeable amount of demon blood into her hand. She began to grow pale, dizzy, and silent. Mark laid a palm on her shoulder to keep her steady.
She took a certain machine and pinned its pointy edge into her palm. As she began to bleed, the monitors showed something similar to DNA.
Her orderly genetic structure began to turn chaotic and she took a deep breath. Mark could see her pupils visibly turning into black slits and getting diluted. Her face grew unnaturally pale, her lips drying up.
She said tiredly, "My life structure is now more similar to that snake than any other human in the entire world. If we let the Hunter World's Will burn it now, it will give its demonic trick to me and I will be able to become a Hunter."
"Brother, let's move out of the Dungeon," Mark said, somewhat urgent. "As fast as we bring her out, the better.
Bale shrugged.
"You wait here, I'll throw the snake out."
"Wait!" Yuri said, panicked. "I have to be outside the mega-dungeon, too, while the snake dies. Or the Hunter World's Will won't be able to sense me and would choose someone else."
Bale frowned but nodded. He took Mark by the neck and took the snake in his other hand. The A-Ranker blinked at Mark coolly. Mark understood the intent and hugged Yuri; protecting her feeble body in his embrace.
She gripped a small bottle of black water tightly.
The Hunter nodded and ran towards the outside of the mega-dungeon, and everything grew to a blur even for Mark. So fast, he thought. Luckily, Bale punched the wind away from them as he ran and he was not too fast or the wind pressure alone would have gotten Yuri in trouble.
My main body could fly faster, but this Hunter isn't running at his full speed. He hadn't even activated his ability—and flying and running aren't the same. I can't run nearly as fast as him even with this speed.
Soon enough, the barrier moving to the outside world appeared and the Hunter calmly walked out of the mega-dungeon. He let go of Mark and the snake—Mark protected Yuri as he fell and stood back up.
He laid Yuri down.
The snake, on the other hand?
A small lightning appeared inside its body out of nowhere (silent but bright) and the only thing that remained of the Tier 2 Demon was charred ash.
Mark looked at Yuri's incredibly pallid body and she even had vomit stains on her face.
She was breathing incredibly heavily, too.

World Wills don't usually think much unless they have to. A collective consciousness of sorts. It just moved if something triggered it. Demon invasions were exactly a trigger like that.
Demons invading threatened the Hunter World's existence. If the Dungeons expanded to cover the entirety of the world and the demons handed over the authority of the Dungeon to the Demon World's Will, the Hunter World's Will would have no place to exist and would be eaten up by the Demon World.
To protect itself, it stole from the demons and handed the power of the demons to its own native children—humans. When a demon enters a place unprotected by the Dungeons, the World Will can sense it incredibly clearly.
It was like an ant biting a human. Feeling the pain, it would slap.
Then, it would share the powers of the ant with its own team of ants. As the will burned the Tier 2 Snake Demon into ash, it began to search for a suitable ant to give the powers of the snake—soon enough, it sensed a human that had an especially similar constitution to the snake demon.
It poured all of the powers of the snake demon into the human woman. As a mortal human, Yuri could only absorb a single demonic trick before she reached a limit and the Hunter World took back the rest of the demonic tricks into itself.
The remaining energies, physical and mental, in the demon couldn't be absorbed by the woman in one go or she would just explode, so the World Will planted all the power of the demon as a seed into the Hunter.
As days passed, she would slowly absorb it and when all of it was absorbed, she would become an A-Rank Hunter.
…
Seeing that Yuri's stats had changed significantly and that she had gained a Hunter Ability, Mark didn't hesitate and immediately gave her the black water.
Her pallid face began to regain color and she took deep breaths.
Yuri's face had changed slightly, her gaze was much more piercing. Deep.
She breathed out a puff of dirty air.
Bale muttered, "Indeed, I can feel it. She became a Hunter." He walked around in a circle and then smiled. Smirked. Grinned. Laughed. "Incredible.
Incredible!!"
Yuri rubbed her head. She still felt exhausted.
"What Hunter Ability did you get from the snake?" Bale asked, eyes focusing. "The ability to jump through shadows? The ability to bite shadows to hurt the enemy? What is it?"
"Calm down, brother." Mark smiled.
"How can I calm down?" Bale clenched his hands. "This is sensational."
Yuri had become a Hunter.
