Chapter 77 The Hightower HQ

[It seems that the location I converted can be upgraded to generate more elements] Daniel thought after he observed the changes in his mindscape.

He wondered about the possibilities if he were to obtain legendary location cards like 'The Atlantis Island' or 'Camelot.' Would it result in the creation of another continent? Or would he need a vacant land prepared beforehand to actualize it?

Pushing these thoughts to the back of his mind, Daniel used the metal scarab swarm to excavate a hidden 10x10-meter space beneath the residential area, creating a secret room. Here, he actualized the 'Hourglass of Eternity' and fortified it with deadly traps and protection to ward off intruders.

[With this, I could guarantee all of my enchantment safety and this should protect all of my properties that the game law considers to be permanent within my control too.] Daniel thought within his mind after he had set up everything.

After Daniel exited the secret room he had created, he continued to oversee the metal scarab construction, as this base was not quite finished yet.

— Meanwhile - Europe - London —

As Greed's private jet taxied along the runway, they caught sight of a massive structure looming in the distance. It was the airport under The Hightower jurisdiction, and it was clear that this was no ordinary airport. The terminal building was an imposing structure, made entirely of stone with intricate gothic architecture that resembled the Notre Dame Cathedral.

As they approached the private terminal, they noticed that it was an extension of the main building, with the same gothic style and tall, arched windows that allowed natural light to flood in. The interior was just as impressive, with high vaulted ceilings and ornate carvings on the walls and pillars.

Despite its age, the airport was well-maintained, and there were modern amenities and facilities available for private jet passengers. The private terminal had plush seating areas, a bar, and even a small art gallery displaying classic masterpieces.

As they stepped out of the plane and into the terminal, they were greeted by The Hightower's staff dressed in sleek black uniforms. The staff guided them through the terminal, providing impeccable service and ensuring that their stay was as comfortable and efficient as possible.

"Good afternoon, esteemed Miss Greed and distinguished Lord Ragnar," the Hightower staff who appeared like a butler greeted them with utmost respect.

"May I humbly inquire if your visit to our airport is for travel or for a business engagement with the Hightower?" he asked, bowing his head slightly in reverence.

"We have urgent business with the Hightower court. Can you arrange an immediate meeting with the judge? If my contribution points are not enough, I am prepared to make a monetary contribution to the Hightower," Greed said politely.

"Indeed, and if necessary, count my contribution during WW1 as well. I have yet to cash in those contribution points," Ragnar added.

"Certainly sir, I'll contact the Judge, who is nearby to arrange an urgent case with all due haste," the butler responded, bowing again before turning to his staff.

"Please escort our esteemed guests to the VIP guest room in the HQ" the butler instructed, gesturing for another staff member to lead Greed and Ragnar to the room.

With that, he excused himself to arrange the urgent meeting with the Judge, leaving Greed and Ragnar in the capable hands of his staff.

The Hightower complex was much larger than it appeared to the untrained eye, thanks to the powerful illusion magic that concealed it from view. The complex comprised multiple buildings, including a magic university, the main HQ building, various offices, a law office, restaurants, a five-star hotel, a courtroom, and a magic laboratory, all spread across an area of over 50,000 square meters.

They were led to a luxurious guest room within the HQ befitting their status. The room was adorned with gothic architecture, reminiscent of the old Hightower building itself, with ornate stained-glass windows and plush furnishings.

As Greed and Ragnar waited in their luxurious guest room, they couldn't help but marvel at the size and grandeur of the Hightower complex. Even though they had been here many times before, they still couldn't get used to the extravagant building and its sheer size.

Despite its size, the staff of the Hightower were efficient and well-trained, attending to every need of their esteemed guests.

As they waited for their meeting, Greed and Ragnar discussed their plans and strategies, taking advantage of the quiet and privacy of the terminal. They were confident that with their combined resources and power, they would be able to accomplish their goals as they had planned.

While Greed and Ragnar were in the middle of their discussion, Klaus and Yuki were engaged in a conversation about how to proceed. Klaus was teaching Yuki about the etiquette she needed to observe when in front of the Hightower court, as well as warning her to be vigilant as the Hightower did not see homunculi like her as people, but rather as mere objects.

After 30 minutes had passed, the mahogany door of the guest room opened, and the butler entered with a strikingly beautiful black-haired woman who exuded an air of mature charm. She appeared to be in her late twenties, but her cold and distant eyes hinted at the experiences of a much older person who had become accustomed to loss and farewells.

She wore an elegant purple one-piece dress with a long pleated skirt that emphasized her voluptuous figure and mature charm. Her long, silky black hair was styled with two small braids at the front and at the back, adorned with a golden hairpin, and tied in a small bun at the back of her head.

"Aunt Envy!" Greed exclaimed upon seeing the newcomer, elegantly walking into the room with the butler beside her.

"Child…" The mature woman let out a thin smile as she stroked Greed's black hair when she came to hug her.

"What kind of trouble did you plan to make this time? Didn't Wrath come with you? She still has a lot to learn about her power." The mature woman asked as she mentioned Wrath.

"Grand councilor Envy." Ragnar bowed toward the mature woman with respect.

From Ragnar's memory, Envy has always been a Grand Councilor since he had first visited the headquarters. He suspected that Envy should be one of the few mages who could still use ancient magic as she was undoubtedly the most powerful witch amongst The Witches of the 7 Deadly Sins.

Envy greeted Ragnar with a hint of melancholy, "Oh... Ragnar, it seems you have grown up to be a fine gentleman. You appear a lot older than the last time you were here."

"Yes, Grand councilor. The last time I was here on formal business was during the Cold War between the USA and the Confederacy," said Ragnar.

Envy stopped in her tracks as she remembered something and turned to Greed. "That's right... Speaking of the Confederacy of America, what about Pride? Is she still at it? Her ambition of unifying North America," she asked Greed.

Greed pouted like a child upon hearing Envy mention the name of her rival.

"Yeah, about the great and powerful witch, Pride. She even went so low as to send many squads of assassins to kill me. Can you believe that, Aunt Envy? She's the worst!" Greed tattled on Pride like a child to an adult.

Hearing this, Envy paused with surprise. She seemed startled at the fact that Greed had told her about this.

"Strange… Pride would never do that. Sending assassins was not her style, let alone targeting one of the 7 Deadly Sins witches life. Are you sure it was Pride who sent them to you? Don't think that I don't know how many enemies you have." Envy asks with a little bit of admonishment in her tone.

Greed didn't answer, she just pouted without saying anything, it seems like Greed just wanted to throw some dirt at Pride.

"See? You don't know that it was her for sure." Envy let out a smile while stroking Greed hair.

"And who are these two?" Envy noticed Klaus and Yuki and asked for their identities.

"Right!" Greed quickly stopped hugging Envy and returned to business.

"This is Klaus, the Court Magician Director of the Tessia Kingdom, and this is Yuki, the Homunculus," Greed introduced the two to Envy, who was looking at them with interest.

"Good afternoon, Grand Councilor Envy," Klaus and Yuki said in unison as they bowed toward her with reverence and respect.

ραпdα---nᴏνa| сom "I heard that you're here to meet the Judge for an urgent matter. What happened?" Envy asked, a little worried about Greed, who was like a child to her.

"It's like this, Aunt Envy," Greed proceeded to tell Envy about Wrath, Daniel, and what had happened in the Tessia Kingdom, including the bomb, Lucien's strange behavior, and many other things.

As Greed recounted the events, Ragnar, Klause, and Yuki chimed in with additional details from their perspective. Envy asked many questions to clarify things she didn't fully understand until she was satisfied with the information given to her.
