Chapter 110 Repaying Murphy

After indulging in an intense three-hour session, relishing their love after a decade of abstaining from each other's touch, the couple found themselves in the dimming dusk. Daniel glanced at the simulated time outside.

"Oh... I bet our princess is fuming with anger by now," Daniel said with a wry smile, realizing they had lost track of time in their passion.

Koyuki, lying on the floor, shot him a fierce look and playfully hit his bare back in annoyance.

"You're the worst! I said we should stop after the fifth round!" Koyuki complained, repeatedly tapping his back to vent her frustration, while concealing her naked body under Daniel's black suit, which temporarily served as a blanket.

"Ouch, ouch! Okay, okay! My bad, I'm sorry. I just got carried away, alright? Geez!" Daniel admitted his fault, feigning pain. He smiled at his girlfriend, who continued to pout at him.

Daniel stood up and began dressing, except for his black suit.

"Where are you going?" Koyuki asked curiously.

"Remember Uncle Murphy? I promised to help him with something important," Daniel replied.

"Oh! Will you be back for dinner at home then?" Wrath inquired, while Daniel prepared himself, walking towards the hidden weapon rack on the room's wall.

"Yes, you can wait for me with little Sylvana. I'll be back shortly after I'm finished," Daniel said, storing his weapons in the pockets within his coat.

The large caliber handgun and traps he had used during the raid on the Willow estate were prepared and ready for use. He also carried combat knives, short swords, and an artifact gun designed to resemble an Uzi. Lastly, he had two modified blade wall drones that he himself had worked on.

"Are you sure you want to help Uncle Murphy instead of heading to some war zone?" Koyuki teased, observing how Daniel prepared himself. She walked toward him and hugged him from behind, wearing only his black suit to conceal her naked body.

"Don't tempt me like this, Koyuki. You know I'm weak when it comes to resisting such temptations," Daniel warned her, attempting to sound stern.

"Oh? So you won't go then? I know you won't break your promise. That's why it's the perfect time to tease you, because I know you won't do anything to me right now!" Koyuki smirked in victory.

"Tch," Daniel clicked his tongue, frustrated that Koyuki had hit the mark.

Daniel walked to the desk and unlocked the door, while Koyuki continued her playful attempts to tease her frustrated boyfriend by clinging to him like a koala and licking his earlobe.

"Ugh... Enough already. You've grown up," Daniel scolded his girlfriend's playful antics, his voice filled with fatigue.

"Ha ha ha, no!" Koyuki giggled, clinging to his back like a koala, leaving Daniel to sigh in response to his girlfriend's mischievousness.

"You know... I can't do anything to you now, but that doesn't mean I can't do anything to you after I return," Daniel said, his eyes filled with hidden lust as he gazed at his mischievous girlfriend.

Daniel vowed to himself that the next time they engaged in intimate activities, he would enhance himself with at least a +5 toughness enchantment card to better handle the intensity.

Sensing the danger in Daniel's voice, Koyuki felt a momentary fear, but she was confident that as long as she stuck close to little Sylvana, her sex-fiend boyfriend wouldn't dare to do anything too kinky. With a mischievous mood and a hint of confidence, she stuck her tongue out at Daniel, further frustrating him.

Deciding that enough was enough, Daniel swiftly caught his mischievous girlfriend, who clung to him like a koala, and moved her in front of him. He then surprised her with a deep, passionate French kiss, leaving Koyuki startled.

At that moment, the door swung open, revealing Greed and Sloth, the perpetually sleepy one, on the verge of entering the room. Their eyes widened as they were confronted with an explicit and intimate scene unfolding before them. Greed's shock caused her brain to momentarily freeze as she took in the sight of her friend, clad only in a suit that barely concealed her nakedness, with the unmistakable scent of their recent activities lingering in the air.

Sloth, who had suddenly awakened from her perpetual sleepiness, swiftly pressed a button on the armrest of her wheelchair. A camera mounted on the wheelchair sprang to life, diligently recording the scene playing out before them.

Daniel and Koyuki were equally taken aback by the unexpected intrusion. They watched in astonishment as both Witches stood there, one struck dumb with shock while the other seemed strangely intrigued, though not in the way most people would be when witnessing such a scene. It was an interest akin to that of a researcher discovering a particularly fascinating sample or experiment.

Daniel swiftly sets Koyuki down and turns to face the two witches.

"Hi there! How are you both? Unfortunately, I have some urgent business to attend to, so I'll be taking my leave. Bye!" With that, Daniel hastily escapes the awkward situation, leaving the two witches and his stunned girlfriend behind.

Once Daniel has made his getaway, the two witches redirect their attention to Koyuki, who is equally eager to escape the embarrassment of the situation. How on earth did these two witches end up appearing right in front of their room? Koyuki wishes she could simply burrow into the ground and hide!

Greed, recovering from her initial shock, regains her composure and blocks Koyuki's path as she attempts to flee.

"Wrath, now, could you please explain what happened after I left to pick up Sloth from the airport?" Greed demands, her gaze piercing as she focuses on her dear friend, who offers a wry smile in an attempt to evade the situation.

Greed had not lied about having an important meeting. She had arranged to meet Sloth, who had returned to the Tessia Kingdom after learning from Envy that Daniel was still alive. Sloth had come back to claim what Daniel had promised her—teaching her the method of creating Atlantean Artifacts.

— 30 Minutes later - On the road full of traffic jamming —

After successfully escaping the awkward situation, Daniel swiftly approaches one of the Veneziale gang members who is stationed at the entrance of the secret base. He arranges for improved convenience in entering and exiting the base, as some gang members have started receiving tips from people within the base and acquiring non-confidential artifacts to sell on the black market at the port.

Now, Daniel sits in the car, patiently waiting for it to reach the next crossroad. They are heading towards the location that the Veneziale gang has prepared for Murphy.

A few more minutes elapse, and the car pulls up to a modern apartment building. Daniel steps out of the car and spots a familiar face sweeping the front entrance. It's Murphy, who has now shaved off his beard.

"Uncle Murphy!" Daniel walks over to the old man, who greets him with a genuine smile.

"Oh, Mr. Daniel!" Murphy abandons his task and embraces Daniel, who has found the time to visit him.

"Uncle Murphy, where did you keep the urn?" Daniel inquired, releasing the embrace.

Murphy picked up the broom he had dropped and asked, "What urn?"

"Molly's urn," Daniel replied, his gaze fixed on Murphy.

"Oh, you came to say hello to Molly too?" Murphy half-jokingly remarked.

Daniel looked around cautiously before speaking again. "We should go to your room before discussing why I'm here."

Murphy didn't say a word; he simply nodded and gestured for Daniel to follow him to his room. Daniel instructed the Veneziale men to stand by in the vicinity and handed each of them 100 US dollars as a tip for their service. This brought smiles to the faces of the Veneziale men, as this kind of solid money was more than most of them in the lower ranks could make in a day.

With that settled, Murphy led Daniel to his room on the third floor of the apartment. Murphy closed the window and door, checked the perimeter for safety, and then turned to face Daniel.

"Okay, Mr. Daniel. What's on your mind?" Murphy inquired.

Daniel didn't answer immediately; his attention was drawn to the porcelain urn resting on a shelf beside a picture of a little girl named Molly. Daniel delved into his mindscape to verify if his card could be used to resurrect the girl from the ashes.

Inside his mindscape, the "Angelic Essence" card was highlighted, indicating that it was an eligible target for use on the urn.

"Uncle Murphy, suppose I told you..." Daniel paused, observing Murphy's expression before shifting his gaze to the urn. Murphy, too, couldn't help but glance at the urn in response.

"...that I can truly resurrect your daughter, without any unsettling undead implications. Would you believe me?" Daniel asked, his eyes fixed on Murphy with a solemn intensity. Murphy's face contorted with a mixture of joy, caution, and anger. However, as Daniel assured him that his daughter would not return as an undead entity, the anger dissipated and gave way to an even deeper sense of caution.
