Chapter 224 Actualize Poseidon?

Chapter 224 Actualize Poseidon?

These cards bring a smile to Daniel's face because, beyond these, there are many more that he finds enticing and potentially useful in the real world, especially when their lore and flavor text come to life, despite being considered common in the game. For example:n-)O)(v.)E--L..B.-1()n

Card Name: Artiforge Adept

Illustration: A man in a greek robe-like working within an artifact workshop, replicating the artifact sword placed nearby.

Rarity: Common

Type: Creature - Human Artificer

Mana Cost: 1 Water, 1 Non-Element

Description:

This creature enters the battlefield with 2 Waiting Counters. At the end of your turn, remove 1 Waiting counter. When there are no waiting counters, create a token that copies a target Artifact. The Token doesn't have the Unique trait. When there are no waiting counters, put 2 Waiting Counters on 'Artiforge Adept.'

Power: 1

Toughness: 1

Flavor Text: The backbone of the Human army, providing high-powered ordinance and Artifacts that are nearly indistinguishable from the originals.

This implies that if this card were to be actualized, This person would only need about 2-4 hours to replicate an artifact, and they might be able to replicate an artifact with the 'Unique' trait. Unlike most unique artifacts that can only exist as one-of-a-kind, this ability could potentially allow the creation of multiple unique artifacts.

Imagine, for instance, if this person were to replicate an artifact like the Atlantis Heart, a unique artifact that can generate all five elemental mana at once. Wouldn't that be impressive and swiftly resolve his issue of mana shortage outside of Tessia Kingdom?

With anticipation building, Daniel couldn't wait to bring these cards to life. Among them were spell cards that promised to enhance his abilities.

Now, there was one last booster pack left unopened. He was hopeful that something incredible lay inside. A wide grin spread across Daniel's face as he tore open the booster pack, revealing its contents. The sight almost made him want to celebrate like a soccer player who had just scored a winning goal for his team.

Card Name: Poseidon - The Tyrant of the Waves

Illustration: An elderly, muscular man with long black hair, a neatly trimmed black beard, adorned in lavish Greek robes and divine armor. He stands atop a tsunami-like wave, wreaking havoc on a mortal city.

Type: Unique Creature - God

Mana Cost: 3 Water, 5 Non-Element

Description:

When attacking, choose three target creatures your opponent controls and return them to their owner's hand.

When blocking, reduce the power of any creature attacking 'Poseidon - The Tyrant of the Waves' by an amount equal to 'Poseidon - The Tyrant of the Waves' power.

Pay 3 Water: Return a target non-basic location permanent to the top of your opponent's deck.

Power: 5

Toughness: 7

Flavor Text: The wrath of Poseidon is as long and terrible as the rolling waves. Like a cat toying with its prey, this tyrannical god delights in playing with mortals before descending with destructive fury upon all who dwell by the sea. Not even his most devoted followers are spared from his relentless cruelty.

The God card! This is one of the top three most powerful card types in his card games! It's finally in his hand! If this God card were to be actualized and appear in the real world, he doesn't want to think how powerful it will be. Since all of the cards will have its power changed according to the real world for them to be able to integrate into the real world.

The next box is 'The Sinking of Atlantis'. Daniel unboxed it and started to open each booster pack one by one. This box is about the war between the Atlanteans and the God of the Sea, Poseidon. In the lore, he wrote that this battle happened before 'The War of Gods and Heroes'. In truth, the set of 'The War of Gods and Heroes' is not the conclusion either.

The conclusion between the Olympian Gods and the humans he had planned is in the set in the middle of testing, and it was still the prototype that he planned to sell after the set 'The War of Gods and Heroes'. But unfortunately, an incident happened before the prototype was finished.

Even though he asked Maria to make a backup and then delete all of the relevant data that she could find on the internet and the publisher and the company's servers that he had associated with in the past to prevent information leakage. But one of the companies went bankrupt, and all of their assets were sold to another company, and Maria had lost track of that one company's server and data.

Daniel didn't like to put his hope on the mere chance that all of his card game data was erased from the face of the earth. He hoped to either be able to build super intelligent A.I. that can sweep the entire global internet or get his hand on the 'Gaia Pseudo Brain' card that can substitute as a Super intelligent A.I.

In a short few minutes after repeatedly opening the booster packs, the first Legendary card from the box appears, but it's just a unique artifact equipment, 'Atlanteus Power Armor' card. This card is surely in the legendary rarity, and it's even a unique artifact at that. Since its abilities are nothing too fancy, it just gives the wearer +3/+3 and becomes indestructible. The only thing that makes Daniel like it is the indestructible part; he could give this armor to someone in his family to ensure their safety.

But right now, the one he wanted to give it to the most is in Japan, little Sylvana, who is unable to wear it since she's still a child. Michaela also isn't a suitable candidate for this armor. Then the image of a mischievous blond-haired woman who likes to tease him comes to mind.

"Maybe Greed would find it useful. I heard that the tension between the USA and the Confederacy border is beginning to heat up lately," Daniel uttered before the card dematerialized and entered his body.

The next Legendary card Daniel acquired was unexpected, and it came at just the right time.

Card Name: God Slayer Cannon

Illustration: An imposing, gigantic cannon the size of a ten-story building. Its long and massive barrel, fueled with vibrant magical energy, is intimidating.

Rarity: Legendary

Type: Artifact

Mana Cost: 2 Fire, 3 Non-Element

Description:

Tap: Put a Charge Counter on God Slayer Cannon.

Pay 1 Fire, 1 Non-Element, Tap: Remove all Charge Counters on 'God Slayer Cannon.' Deal 5 damage for each Charge counter removed this way. If more than one Charge counter is removed this way, you can choose more targets equal to the Charge counters removed this way. If there are multiple targets, distribute the damage equally to each target, rounding down.

Flavor Text: The hope of Atlantis to end the Tyranny of Poseidon.

"I need to think of a way to send this baby into space and let it orbit the earth." Daniel uttered in glee after seeing the card.

After opening all the booster packs, Daniel eagerly made his way to the actualization room prepared by the Keeper. He now had 70,000 Merit Points remaining, and he hoped it would be enough to actualize all the necessary cards.

Without further delay, he selected the first card from his mindscape for actualization, the 'Poseidon - The Tyrant of the Waves' card.

At that moment, particles of light began to gather, and the counter on the wall rapidly decreased until it finally stopped at 50,000, deducting a whopping 20,000 from his Merit Point Pool.

"As expected of a God card. It's draining my merit points like crazy. I hope it's worth the cost," Daniel remarked as the card materialized into the real world.

— A Certain Secret Pocket Dimension —

In the heart of the secret pocket dimension, a realm known only to a select few, the remnants of Olympus existed as a mere shadow of its once glorious days. Here, Zeus and Poseidon, the mighty Olympian gods, resided. This particular day, they had gathered for a celebration of sorts, a party within their divine sanctuary.

As Zeus, the ruler of Olympus and god of the sky, sat on a grand golden throne, his regal aura filled the room. His white hair and beard framed a face that had seen eons of existence. By his side, the majestic Poseidon, god of the sea, reclined on a chaise lounge, his trident resting beside him.

Mortal attendants, stunningly beautiful, attended to their every whim. These beings, like ephemeral slaves, brought them the finest ambrosia and nectar in ornate golden chalices. Their attire, reminiscent of ancient Greek attire, draped over their ethereal forms.

Zeus raised his chalice, filled with the nectar of the gods, and gestured to the lavish banquet before them. "To the glory of Olympus, though it may have dimmed, we shall keep the spirit alive!"

Poseidon, his eyes sparkling with mirth, clinked his chalice with Zeus's. "Aye, brother. The sea may roar and the sky may thunder, but we shall celebrate our immortal existence."

As the celebration continued, celestial musicians played divine music that filled the air, setting the atmosphere for the gathering of Olympian gods. They reveled in their divine camaraderie, reminiscing about the ancient days when they held dominion over the mortal realm of Greece. Laughter, dance, and feasting were abundant in this timeless pocket dimension, where their immortal beauty and power were on full display.
