Now that the mass perception of the people has been altered by the spell, their reactions are bound to change, especially those of the refugees pouring into his city. Daniel knows how deeply ingrained the loyalty to the Tessia royal family is among these people, making them unlikely to blame them for anything and potentially causing trouble for him.
Quickly, Daniel retrieves his special notebook, modified to connect to the internet, to check the online situation regarding the war between the Tessia Kingdom and Sector Alpha City. He finds numerous people cursing him and the Tessia royal family.
Particularly on a famous American website, "Bluedit," discussions are raging about how a backward country in Southeast Asia, lacking a solid educational foundation, relies heavily on brainwashing its people with basic self-made education to unconditionally love the royal family.
Critics question how such a country could secure funding for a massive bioweapons project that has turned an entire country into a failed state, its capital into a wasteland, and caused mutations in wildlife and the environment. The source of this massive funding remains a mystery.
Mackbeth: Can you believe what's happening in Sector Alpha City? The Tessia royal family and Astral Tech are both to blame for this mess!
Anonymous-6842: I know, right? It's insane how someone is trying to cover up their involvement in the bioweapons disaster. And now they're blaming it on some backward country in Southeast Asia?
Anonymous-4478: Exactly! It's clear someone is trying to shift the blame away from themselves. But where did all that funding come from in the first place? Something doesn't add up here.
Mackbeth: I think it's time for a full investigation into Astral Tech and the Tessia royal family. They can't get away with causing such devastation and then trying to sweep it under the rug.
LadyD: But what about the refugees? They're the ones suffering the most from all of this. We need to focus on helping them rebuild their lives instead of pointing fingers.
BrightIdea: I think this thing is very suspicious; it smells fishy from miles away. Everyone knows that bio weapons are something that the UN prohibited to experiment with. It is even worse than nuclear weapons.
TheBig-D: Yeah, right, just like the Qin Empire, America, and the Confederacy prohibited anyone from arming themselves with nuclear weapons while they have enough warheads to turn the planet into a dead one.
Wolfy_Biker: What the hell do you know? All of you are just speculating; the truth is far from being broadcasted in the news.
After reading this, Daniel's headache worsens, and he clutches his head, sighing tiredly while Koyuki reads the forum alongside him, trying to massage his shoulders to relieve his stress.
"I don't know what you're worrying about, but I know that you will come up with a good solution eventually," said Koyuki with an encouraging smile.

Daniel was stunned by Envy's reaction; she even used a spell to briefly teleport herself to Koyuki to stop her from revealing the secret. Now, he really wanted to know. What was so embarrassing about that first love?
He was certain that it wasn't about Envy being afraid that he would be jealous or anything. First love is first love, and as long as that person didn't try to interfere with their relationship and they had already broken up, he didn't mind that Envy had some dreamy first love.
Or perhaps... Was it because it was such a dreamy and naive tale of a young girl pursuing the love of some troubadour in ancient times that she felt embarrassed? It seemed most likely to be the case.
"I heard it from you!" said Koyuki.
"Impossible! I didn't tell anyone... wait... is it because of that time?" Envy was about to refute, but then remembered an incident from about 7 or 8 years ago. It was when she first met Koyuki, who was still the witch of Wrath back then and had no friends, living solely for revenge.
Envy felt pity for Koyuki and organized a heartfelt banquet where nearly every witch came to help Koyuki break out of her shell.
Envy recalled trying her best to get Koyuki to open up, and they ended up drinking together after everyone else was completely wasted. Envy was surprised by how tolerant Koyuki was to alcohol. She then remembered waking up the next morning with a splitting headache.
"Okay... You win, Koyuki," Envy said with a weak smile. She realized she had no defense against this, especially since she was afraid that Daniel would get jealous.
Looking at Daniel, she added with a smile, "That man should have died a long time ago. I also can't remember much about him, so you don't need to worry." It was the only explanation she could offer him for now.
"Who said I'm jealous?" Daniel spoke with a smile. He wasn't that petty. In fact, he felt relieved in a way, but he wasn't jealous.
Seeing Daniel's reaction, Envy didn't answer and let the matter drop. She sat down beside him, deep in thought before speaking again.
"The truth is, even though I'm teasing you, I don't know much about that spell. It may sound like a lie, considering I've lived even before the founding of the Hightower, but that spell wasn't prepared by me. It was Merlin who prepared it.
That spell is called the Grand Alteration Spell. It's one of the ancient spells that Merlin had prepared for the Hightower during an emergency. It consumes a vast amount of mana; I think two or three mana fonts would have been depleted by that spell alone. The Hightower should have very little left to maintain their dominion now," explained Envy.
Merlin? Daniel recalled that Merlin was also one of his cards in the 'Rise of Camelot' Set, but he hadn't obtained it. He wasn't sure if it was because of his bad luck or if that card couldn't be used due to some reality-conflicting reasons the Keeper had mentioned.
"Danny, I'll give you some advice. You should really think of a plan to deal with the UN. You should know that greed exists within all people, and they will do anything to satisfy their greed, even if it means facing death without realizing it.
One of the reasons why the Curtained World needs to be kept secret is because normal people outnumber us thousands to one, and they have enough technology to threaten our existence, such as nuclear weapons, even though they haven't dared to use them. But you never know when they will go crazy and start an apocalypse by using MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) tactics," Envy warned her beloved.
