Chapter 446: New Professions

— Miracle Card Shop —

Within the shop, the atmosphere and air of mystery remained unchanged, but Daniel felt right at home as he looked at the many cards displayed on the racks. These cards had already been opened by the Keeper for him to peruse.

"Welcome, Mr. Emberweave. You've come here quite often these days. How may I help you?" the Keeper said in a polite, heavy British accent. His usual style and demeanor were that of a noble butler.

"Do you want to unlock the new set? Or buy the opened cards? Or perhaps you wish to reach out to the limitless possibilities and find what you need?" the Keeper asked.

"Let me see these cards first." Said Daniel as he strolled in the shop perusing the card that had already opened.

The price tag varied card by card, and there are no Common and uncommon cards on the rack, only Rare upward. Daniel peruses and chooses several cards in Rare, Epic and only one Legendary since the cost is quite expensive with legendary rarity.

Most of the cards on the selling rack are uncommon to rare, depicting sentient beings. From epic upward, only spells, enchantments, artifacts, and artifact creatures are available. There are no cards resembling humans or other sentient living beings.

He doesn't know why it's like this, but he chooses to ignore this suspicious point lest the Keeper tells him he's paranoid.

"Where are the common cards?" Daniel asked.

"Oh, they're in the boxes over there. I've already arranged them according to set, type, and alphabet," the Keeper replied, gesturing toward several large boxes organized by set.

Daniel went to the card boxes and selected dozens of common cards that he thought he would need, while paying attention to the cost. He only had around 40,000 points left after he had actualized Albert and some of his people who were stronger than common cards.

He needed to be more economical this time and choose wisely. He needed the leader of the Reaper Gate and had checked the rack but didn't find the card, "Jack the Ripper - Reaper Gate Keeper." This guy is the guild leader of the Reaper Gate.

This meant he needed to buy a box or two to get what he wanted, or three or more if his luck was bad today. Daniel then walked toward the counter and bought two boxes of "The Rule of Back Street" and began to open them on the table the Keeper had prepared for him.

Among the cards, there were two profession cards that he thought would increase his current strength and knowledge.

He didn't have a giant robot to control yet, even though he has the Adamantine Colossus. But that's a golem, not a giant robot. This card is the closest to a giant robot he can pilot, and he can't wait to pilot it!

Daniel felt fully satisfied with this session of booster opening. As the last card transformed into light particles and entered his body, Daniel said goodbye to the Keeper and went into the room the Keeper had prepared for him. He needed to actualize Jack The Ripper.
