— Leviathan POV —
Ahhh... This human soul is so nutritious! I never imagined regaining so much strength from a single soul. It means this human possesses a strong soul and destiny. What does strong destiny mean? It signifies that this human is likely to achieve their goals and attain greatness, impacting the fate of many.
Well... the talk of destiny among us hell lords is like a discussion about God or the supernatural for normal humans. Some believe it exists but can't prove it, some have witnessed supernatural phenomena, while others dismiss it as nonsense.
Personally? I'm 50/50. Maybe this human's soul is simply strong, without any destiny nonsense, and it's just me overthinking it.
After dying once, losing the battle of souls, and getting absorbed into the soul of a human girl for over a thousand years, I was completely absorbed.
But in a stroke of luck, I regained consciousness, then later, my memories. I got all those memories back from tiny fragments of my soul lodged within that girl's soul, the excess remnants she used to repair her soul and nurture her power.
However, I should thank her foolishness. She didn't abuse the power and only used what was needed. She didn't absorb more of my being, afraid she'd lose herself after fully absorbing me.
Heh, as if that would happen. I, who had lost all means to resist, would have been absorbed, and the girl named Envy would have become the next Leviathan, a bona fide new Hell Lord with her personality intact.
As that girl grew more powerful, her need to absorb power from me decreased until she didn't absorb any more and sealed me in the deepest part of her soul.
Clever! Whoever summoned the angel is smart, but such a spell requires a significant sacrifice. Since the spell contracts with heaven, the caster couldn't have used other people as sacrificial material. Those stuck-up angels wouldn't help otherwise.
Also, judging from the holy fire on the fist, it should be a warrior angel, not a foot soldier, but at least a captain, as they can use holy fire. The caster is not bad!
Let's see... By now, the caster would be barely standing and can't even move from the toll paid to summon the angel. If my guess is correct, this caster must have used their own lifespan as sacrificial material.
Hmm... I'll wait until the angel can't maintain their body in this world, then I'll offer a contract to the caster. That guy must be desperate enough to use his own lifespan to summon the angel. And since this host is nearly depleted and has not much to offer me, I'll switch to that guy.
Finally, the beating stops. As expected, the host can't fight back at all. It's a one-sided beating. No, a one-sided brutal beating. It was as if the angel had taken it to an emotional level. Too personal for an angel, I say.
Now... disappear already. No matter how strong the caster's power is, a human is still a human. Maintaining an angel here in the mortal world would take a hefty toll... wait....
Why does this angel have three pairs of wings? That armor... that face... sh*t... Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, SH*T!!
What f*ckery is this!? Isn't that Michaela!? The highest angel and the right hand of God, Michaela!? Why is this b*tch here!?
There's no way a human could summon an archangel here! And the right hand of God, no less! This is impossible!
Did some idiot of a Hell Lord decide to open the hell gate themselves and invade the mortal world, pissing off the biblical God enough to send His army here!? Wait! If that's not it, then... does this mean this b*tch came to the mortal world to hunt me!? What have I done to deserve this!?
