"But enough about me, why are you here at this late hour, Lady?" Mammon asked again.
"The fragrance I smelled... It's coming from here, and it's very familiar to me, so I came to check it out of curiosity," Xi Wang Mu explained.
"I can tell you that the fragrance you smell isn't from any fruit or anything like that, but as for what it actually is, I can't answer that. Consider that an answer and go on your way. Otherwise, you risk dealing with something far more dangerous than me," Mammon warned.
"Hmph! You dare threaten me? The Empress of the West?" Xi Wang Mu felt irritated at the threat. If it had come from someone far more powerful than her, she might have accepted it, but coming from a lowly animal like this? It was a humiliation!
"That's not a threat; it's a warning. It's like when you walk past someone's home and see a sign that says 'Beware of vicious dog' or a sign telling you to look both ways before crossing the road! Seriously, can't you differentiate?" Mammon retorted with spite, feeling equally irritated.
"Hmph! I really want to see what in this lower realm could make me fear your warning!" With that, Xi Wang Mu immediately rushed toward Daniel's house, moving so swiftly that she vanished without a trace.
Mammon was dumbfounded by the woman's behavior. Why is she being so unreasonable? He just gave her a warning, and she immediately took offense.
"Well... I've done my part... it's her ass that's going to get kicked, not mine," Mammon muttered before taking the last bite of his cherry tomato, finishing it off.
On Xi Wang Mu's side, she followed the fragrance and found it coming from a room within the house. Now, she stood in front of the room, smirking with disdain at the warning before opening the door.
The moment she opened it, a deep sense of dread washed over her, and she immediately turned toward the source of the danger.
In front of her, a gaping maw with fiery fangs opened wide, coming straight for her head. Xi Wang Mu wasn't one to be underestimated; she ducked just in time. The maw bit into the door, reducing it to dust with its fiery fangs.
Xi Wang Mu immediately launched a counterattack, sending a palm strike toward the threat that had tried to bite her head off. Though she didn't yet know what it was, her spiritual sense had detected it.
Boom!
The palm strike collided with a flame shield, creating a booming sound. The shockwave surged toward the bed in the room, but a shield suddenly appeared, enveloping the bed and absorbing the impact without even budging.
The blast destroyed the entire room, blowing the roof wide open along with the walls. The only things still standing were the bed and the floor, seemingly impervious to the clash between her palm strike and the flaming shield.
Xi Wang Mu retreated, reassessing the situation. She was still in the room and saw that the attacker was a dog—no, a demonic dog powerful enough to block her palm strike, even with 30% of her strength.

"AAAAArrrrrgghhhhhhh... Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgghhhh... K-Kill me! Kill me—Urgggghhhaaaa!" Xi Wang Mu pleaded for a quick release, while Daniel looked down at the goddess as if she were nothing more than trash.
Daniel was furious. He had just fallen asleep with Greed after exhausting her, both of them cuddled up in dreamland. But then, an explosion sent the walls, roof, and his bed flying. He had to rescue Greed first as they both plummeted from the building.
Yes, Penthesilea wasn't spared by the blast either, but fortunately, Michaela quickly came to her aid. Daniel had hung onto a pole for a minute before deciding to use his Titan power to bring himself and Greed safely to the ground, landing on the building's rooftop.
The first thing he noticed was that the shield he had installed around little Sylvana's bed was activated, and Sat, in his full Hell Lord form, was guarding it as if his life depended on it. Moreover, he saw a strange woman who was strong enough to fight Sat without breaking a sweat while maintaining her composure.
This meant that the woman was at least as powerful as a Hell Lord. Even worse, Daniel noticed the gleam in her eyes as she looked at little Sylvana—not as a human being, but as a precious treasure. Without hesitation, he ambushed her with a killing spell.
"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhhh! Pleaseeeeeeeee! Kill Meeeeeeeeee—!" The woman cried out in agony, writhing in pain. The spell had been taking effect for 30 minutes now.
Typically, this spell used agonizing pain as a tool to kill its target, tearing and healing repeatedly while increasing the sensitivity to pain until the target succumbed. But this woman's vitality was strong, and she endured the pain that would have killed a normal human.
