Chapter 38: 22: Strings of Time, Sounds of Space_3

"My memories, my personality, everything about me, they are made up of these fragments, and now you completely deny them. You've never truly accepted me, even if our personalities were to merge, the new one wouldn't be led by me. To you, this might mean strength, but for me, it means going directly to my death."

"I know you mean well, sister, and perhaps you hold greater expectations for our future, but..."

"I'm sorry, sister, I can't agree to your request." At last, Hexia's voice had become firm.

"It seems you've made up your mind," Temisia looked at her.

"What a disobedient sister."

"I'm sorry." Hexia pushed the door open and walked out.

Watching her about to leave, Temisia's gaze shifted several times, complex and indescribable.

"No matter what you think, I too have my own will, Hexia. Our sisterhood is destined to have only one of us possess the Talent of a Color Level Songstress."

"If you must refuse, then I can only use a sister's prerogative to teach you."

The quiet living room and the house began to distort; Hexia, startled, looked around at everything, quickly realizing what was happening.

She turned around to see Temisia approaching step by step, her Transcendent Ability already in motion.

Her hair flying, with stardust swirling in her purple eyes, when she lifted her hand, vines burst through the walls like thousands of snakes, wrapping around Hexia, binding her tightly so she could not move. Then, Temisia stepped closer, again hugging Hexia's forehead, kissing her, as a multitude of memories and emotions transferred once again, their souls trembling and emitting a dazzling brilliance.

High in the cluster of crystals, two figures, one purple and one blue, stood suspended in the air, their appearances similar, their black hair dancing. The only difference was the color of their eyes.

"Temisia..." the girl with the blue eyes gazed at the figure before her.

"I had no choice, Hexia. It's your fault for not listening," she replied, extending her right hand as numerous magic power light points converged, and a purple-red Crystal Sword materialized and was grasped in her hand.

...

As Qiao Long climbed up the blue-purple crystal clusters, a streak of golden light flashed by, causing him to look up, just in time to see the purple girl thrust the sword through the blue girl, piercing her completely.

The purple-red Sword Edge stuck in her chest, and the blood-red patterns spread along the wound like a curse, immobilizing Hexia, who then fell from the sky.

Seeing the falling figure, Qiao Long leaped out, ready to catch her, but the purple girl in the air waved her hand again, and three purple crystal shards shot down from the sky, piercing through Qiao Long's shoulder and wrist, nailing him to the wall.

"Don't touch my sister with your filthy hands. Disgusting."

Falling again from the sky, Hexia landed in the crystal world below, lying at its very center, with numerous crystal clusters extending from beneath her like spikes and swords, forming a protective ring.

In the sky, Temisia moved again, her back sprouting crystalline, prism-like wings that were transparent with a hint of purple, exceptionally beautiful. She then descended like a meteor, leaving behind a wisp of purple traces in the air.

On the ground, Hexia opened her eyes again, struggling to lift her hand, aiming at Temisia who was diving straight at her from above, with brilliance flowing in her eyes, the crystal clusters at her side cracking like bamboo shoots breaking through the earth, growing section by section, stabbing towards the sky.

Layers of crystal light were dazzling, and the spikes were deadly, obstructing Temisia's descent from above.

The crimson Sword Edge danced and swept, shattering and cutting away the blue crystal clusters, Temisia pressing on layer by layer, swiftly closing in on the bottom, until she split the last layer of blue ice crystals open.
