Chapter 46: 24 A Peaceful Afternoon (Thanks to the lovely maid Mengmeng, the Alliance Hierarch)

The next morning, Hexia woke up, and she turned on the sunshine lamp on the windowsill, which shone into the room like daylight, exceptionally bright.

After getting up, she first took a quick shower, then lightly shook her hair, and countless water droplets condensed into crystals before falling onto her body, refreshing her. She then changed into a brand-new outfit, sat at the vanity, neatly tied her hair, and fastened a slightly oversized silk butterfly bow at the back of her head. After that, she stood up, went to the kitchen, and served herself some hot porridge.

After a simple breakfast, she grabbed her personal terminal, picked up her bag, walked to the doorway, and slipped into her snug leather shoes, gently tapping to allow her toes to press into the space at the front, then she lifted the heels and fastened the straps tightly.

Hexia then took another look at herself in the mirror next to her, and after finding no issues, she blinked.

"I'm heading out."

She said softly, then opened the door and walked out.

The corridors were as messy as ever, and Hexia stepped lightly through them, nimbly avoiding various puddles and debris as she quickly made her way towards the elevator.

Entering the spacious elevator with several familiar faces from the residential area, many greeted her.

"Hexia is up early today."

"Good morning, Hexia."

"Good morning, everyone." For the first time, Hexia responded instead of keeping silent as she had in the past.

Although she still wasn't used to it, there was a sense of fresh excitement and adventure.

"Hexia seems different today."

"Haha, it seems so." Her neighbors said, laughing.

"You've arrived." After speaking, she stood up, pulled open a cabinet door on the wall, bent down to pull out a chair, and placed it by the table.

Seeing her struggle a bit, Hexia couldn't help wanting to assist, but Deklabi had already positioned the chair by the time she got close.

Sitting down, Hexia asked about what had happened during the days she was away.

"Sister Belfeng was very worried about you. She mentioned it to me several times, although, despite what she says, she still enjoys playing games every afternoon."

Quite true to character, Hexia thought to herself.

"I don't interact much with the others, so I don't really know." Deklabi shook her head; she didn't mingle much with the other maids and often stayed in her corner.

Seemingly no major issues, Hexia thought, feeling somewhat relieved, and they continued feeding the birds together.

Twenty minutes later, Hexia stood up to leave, mentioning she was going to change clothes.

"Here." Deklabi handed her a card.

"What's this?"

"It's my temporary access card. You can use it to go up to the employee lounge. Otherwise, you won't have a place to change."

"Just find Belfeng or the manager when they arrive, and register with them. Normally, you can just use your wrist identity chip to trigger the access."

"Thank you." Taking the card, Hexia nodded in gratitude.

After changing upstairs, since she was alone today, she didn't have any seniors 'kindly' adding various accessories to her outfit.
