A man wearing gold-plated armor entered a big Camp, and looking around, he saw a man wearing a dark cloak sleeping in the corner, and instantly, his cold face curled into a twisted smile.
"You F**king Rat, I didn't hire you to daydream and sleep." The man said as he threw a fireball at the peacefully sleeping man.
The man got hit by the fireball in the face waking him from slumber and making him instinctively stand up while grabbing his sword, but before he could gauge the situation, he was hit by a solid ball of ice, making him fall back to the ground.
"You are getting 10% less pay for this expedition, and if you do not perform well, it will be 20%, and if you die before I tell you to, you know what will happen." The man said as he walked out of the camp.
'What is going on.' Alex thought, feeling dizzy and light-headed.
'I remember I came here as a damage dealer to help raid the Frost Moon Bear lair, and this bastard is the bodyguard of that rich boy Xion.'
'I slept well to get into my best condition for this raid, so why did I go to sleep? It doesn't matter Now as 10% of 250 Gold coins are gone.' Alex thought, organizing his thoughts.
'Let's forget about the loss and focus on performing well, as I will receive a bonus depending on it.' Alex thought, ignoring the stares he was getting from other players in the camp.
Alex settled back in his position and opened the game forum to watch raids on the Frost Moon bear lair to memorize their attack pattern.
---------------------
"ROOOAAAAARRRRRRRRRR"
A giant twenty feet bear with snow-white skin and a mark of a full moon on his head protected by the ice roared, releasing Frosty breath toward the ground freezing the dark chains holding him in place while keeping everyone from approaching him for an attack.
"Kalen, The chains are about to break. How much more time do you need to prepare the fifth Rank scroll?" A man shouted out loud toward a man in golden armor standing at the back.
"Master Xion, I need one more minute." The man shouted as he held a dark red scroll.
"Tanks create the Shield Barrier."
"Mages fall back and protect Kalen."
"All Healers support the Tanks."
"All Damage dealer, Get ready to throw yourself on the boss the moment he breaks those chains," Xion shouted as he fell back with the mages.
'My luck is just rotten to have met the Apex Boss, which only has the probability of happening 1 out 100 times.' Alex thought as he gulped a low-quality healing potion while staring at the hulking bear snapping the chains like threads.
'I will die for certain, so why don't I try that crazy trick as the boss's health is down to 53%, and If I succeed, I will get a hefty bonus.' Alex thought, looking toward the almost-freed boss.
"Ryfin, I want you to give me a Shield boost when I tell you, and don't you f***ing die before me," Alex shouted to the player standing to his right, and in return, the man holding a giant shied nodded his head.
In the next instant, the boss broke all the chains and charged toward the first line of defense, and Alex also sprinted toward the boss, determined to survive long enough to execute his plan.
The Boss charged like a mad truck sending a few of the tanks flying back, but it slowed his momentum, allowing the damage dealer to attack.
The damage dealer used their best attack, not saving anything, knowing they needed to buy time, and in no time, the Boss' health was down to 50%, while close to 70% of the damage dealers and Tanks were dead.
'He is going berserk.' Alex thought, keeping his focus on the Bear's head precisely on the protected moon mark.
"ROOOOOOAAARRRRRR"
"Ryfin, give me Boost," Alex shouted the moment he saw the protective ice on the moon mark breaking into shards.
Alex sprinted toward Ryfin, who placed his shield over his head, and the moment he jumped on top of the shield, Ryfin used the Shield Bash skill to send Alex flying high into the air.
Alex covered his sword in frosty blue mana and Sword Intent, and after his speed and moment slowed down, he bent toward the Boss and used the (Ice shield) spell under his feet.
Alex used the ice shield as footing to shoot toward the bear's head like a bullet, with his eyes fixed on the shining moon mark, and a moment later, he was moments away from crashing into the boss.
"Falling Frost Star," Alex shouted as he pierced his sword into the glowing moon mark on the Boss' head.
'I have done it.' Alex thought with a smile as the pierced Moon mark released chilling white energy that froze him into a frozen sculpture in mere moments.
"Aberrant damaged the Lunar Moon," Ryfin shouted, seeing Alex's body crumble to ice chunks.

[30 Minutes Later]
"HAHAHHAHA"
"This day couldn't go any better," Alex said with a bright smile, seeing the deposit of 600 gold coins into his game account.
"RING"
"RING"
"Yes, Mom," Alex said, picking up the call.
"Alex, Something happened to Sophia." Alex's mother said, panicking in a shaky tone.
"Mother, calm down and tell me What happened to Sophia," Alex said, his bright smile gone.
"I don't know what happened, as I just received a call from the doctor to come to the hospital because it's an emergency."
"I have told your father, and he will pick me up from the restaurant in a few minutes, and we will be at the hospital in twenty minutes." Alex's mom said.
"Mom, I will go to the hospital and talk to the doctor," Alex said as he ran down the stairs trying his best to keep calm.
Alex left the house and took a cab, and after four minutes, he was running through the hallways of the hospital toward the Doctor office, hoping that everything would turn out well.
After reaching the doctor's office, Alex took a moment to calm his breathing before entering the office.
"Please take a seat." The doctor said, seeing Alex enter his office.
"Doctor Oswald, What is the emergency," Alex asked as he held his breath.
"Alex, Your sister Sophia's condition has reached a critical point, and both of her kidneys are on the verge of failure, and even with the latest medicine and technology, we can only keep them working for three more months at best."
"Sophia needs a kidney replacement," Alex mumbled while his brain searched for a solution.
"Yes, but I must inform you about a few more issues." Dr. Oswald said, and hearing him, Alex's heart fell into his stomach.
"The Life Serum keeping your sister alive is also slowly killing her, and if we continue to use it, your sister's body will experience more and more problems, and slowly but surely, all her organs will get shut down."
"The only cure I can suggest is the use of the Life Pod treatment, but even that might not be able to cure your sister." Dr. Oswald said.
'NO, NO, NO,'
'This can't be happening.'
'I do not have enough money for the Life Pod treatment.'
'I can sign the slave contract that will give me money.'
'Yes, I can certainly do that,'
"RING"
"RING"x7
"Alex, Drink some water and calm down everything is going to be fine." Dr. Oswald said as he placed a glass of water before Alex.
'A Private Number?' Alex thought, coming back to his senses and looking at his phone.
Alex wanted to cut the call, as his thoughts were a big mess, but seeing the private number, he decided to pick it up.
"Mr. Alex?" The deep male voice asked.
"Yes, I am Alex."
"My name is Hector Walker, and I am the Deputy Chief of the Z-11 Police Department."
"I am sorry to inform you that the Black BMW G-X14 registered to your father's name has been in a major accident -------"
"CACKK"
"ALEX, ALEX"
----------------------------
Alex jolted awake with rough breading and head-splitting headache while his heart rate was making new high records, and looking around, he saw an Elf female smiling toward him.
Alex felt confused and distressed as he looked around for his phone, but slowly the headache went away, and his memories became clear.
'It was the Nightmare,' Alex thought as his memories became clear.
Alex took deep breaths to calm his emotion, but all he could think about was what he had experienced in his nightmare, and even though he knew it was an illusion, he still couldn't stop thinking about it.
'In this life, things will be different.' Alex thought as he stopped denying his nightmares as a lie and accepted them as a possibility that he needed to ensure never happened.
