"Virtheon, you are sure This kid is a Third Rank?" A cloaked figure asked the man in silver robes standing beside him.
"He doesn't have an ounce of elemental flame in his body, which makes me believe he is not in the Elementalist Rank, but his performance makes me question the truth," Virtheon answered, focusing on the floating translucent window before him.
Virtheon, the space magician, and an unknown cloaked man stood in the vail of pitch darkness looking at a translucent screen showing the ongoing battle between Alex and Hurobak.
"What did you find about this Adventurer that made you request my presence?" The cloaked figure asked.
"I started looking into his past after getting the orders from the Cult, and even though I didn't find much, what I did find could be amazing or just a disaster, depending on how things turn out."
"Aeon took the Thunder Knight trail using one of their legendary tokens and passed it with exceptionally well results making him a talent that every faction wanted in their Ranks."
"After the trial ended, he left the Knight Order capital city and arrived at the Gladiator city and registered as a Gladiator within just a few hours."
"I am not certain if he used the underground teleportation service to come here this quickly or if someone helped him arrive at the gladiator city," Virtheon said with a thoughtful look.
"He only used his battle arts in the battle arena and even in his Knight trial because he is prohibited from using other skills to train his battle art more efficiently, but the question is, who placed such restrictions on him?"
"It could be that the restrictions are self-imposed as he is using other skills right now, and seeing his performance in the death game, I doubt he trained to such a level without a teacher."
"This leads me to believe him having a master and a strong one at that, but the question is, how strong is this master?" Virtheon said and went silent.
"You think he has a master who helped him train his skills and also helped him reach the gladiator city, and let's assume it is correct, then that will automatically make this master of his an Elemental Ruler."
"The other possibility is that he is just a genius, and the battle skills are achieved through his own effort."
"In both possibilities, we have nothing to lose because if he has a master, then we just need to see if we can convince him to join our cause, and then we will have a new Elemental Ruler in our Ranks."
"If he doesn't have any master, then the Cult will have a genius we can groom into a deadly weapon." The cloaked figure said, sounding not worried about the results.
"I presume you will be handling this matter," Virtheon said.
"I will take care of it. Now let's see if the kid has more surprises stored for us." The cloaked figure said.
"Aeon has abnormal strength and skills, but unfortunately, he is fighting a true monster," Virtheon said, seeing Hurobak cocooned in a globe of Red lightning.
"I won't consider this battle to be concluded just yet," The cloaked figure said, looking at Alex standing near the cocoon of lightning.
The battle continued, and to watching individual's surprise, Alex went toe to toe with the transformed Hurobak, and after a short few seconds of exchanging blows, he decapitated him, ending the battle.
-------------------
'I learned quite a lot from this death game, but I also ended up revealing a lot of things that I probably shouldn't have done.'
'It's not like I had a choice because I would rather reveal my strength and be marked a freak than stay logged out for seven days.' Alex thought, playing with the diamond key standing next to the decapitated Wolf.
Alex stood in silence, and after a few seconds of wait, a portal appeared a few feet away from him, from which Virtheon and two healers walked out.
While The healers did their work and started healing the Hurobak by reattaching his decapitated head, Virtheon walked toward him with a smile.
"Gladiator Aeon, You took this game to a level of entertainment that even some Sixth Rank platinum games would struggle to match."
"Your fight against Lady Tyria was the best demonstration of skills and intellect I have seen in the last decade in the fourth Rank games, but your battle against Hurobak just made it look lackluster in comparison."
"As a reward for putting on such a magnificent performance, I reward you one Gladiator King Challenge Token and 10 Million Gladiator Coins," Virtheon said, keeping his happy smile.
'I expected some rewards for the performance, but this is too generous.' Alex thought, feeling quite surprised by the offered reward.
The gladiator coins alone were a huge reward as, other than their intended use, they could be sold to other gladiators for gold coins, and even on a less demanding day, a single coin was worth five gold coins while up to ten if there was a shortage.
The Gladiator King Challenge Token was the most valuable or useless item depending on the person because even though it gave a person a chance to replace a Gladiator King, it also carried a huge risk.
There could be only ten Gladiator kings at any given time, and even the weakest among them was a middle Stage Sixth Rank warrior, and challenging them meant a true life-and-death battle from which only one man would walk out alive.
This rule also applied to players making the goal of becoming a Gladiator king a gamble of life and death, but many top Ranking players wanted to achieve that goal because of its benefits.
"Sir. Virtheon, Thanks for the generous reward." Alex replied after a moment of silence.
"This portal will lead to a room you can use to recover some of your fatigue and get ready to make a public appearance and receive your reward," Virtheon said, opening a portal.
After glancing at Hurobak, seeing that he had returned to his human form with his body condition stabilized, Alex walked into the portal, leaving the arena.
After a moment of blindness and uncomfortable body stretch, Alex appeared in a luxury room with beautiful black velvety leather sofas and a giant crystal table in the center.
The crystal table was filled with steaming hot foot dishes, and to the table side stood four ladies of different races, each having her unique breathtaking beauty, and all wore revealing dresses, startling Alex for a moment.
'I forgot how the winner of the death game is treated.' Alex thought, looking around the luxurious room.
"Master Aeon, You want to take a bath and have us four give you a massage or eat these cuisines prepared from the finest ingredients by the best of available Spirit Chefs."
"If You have any other plan that we can be a part of, please let us know, and we will be at your service." The Elf lady, who had the finest beauty and soothing voice among the ladies, came forward and said with a respectful bow.
"I appreciate your offer, but I have to decline and ask you to leave me alone as I am fatigued after my battles and take this and divide it equally among yourself," Alex said, not even considering having fun and games with the ladies.
The female elf caught the space ring and showed a lot of hesitation, wanting to ask once more but seeing the calm yet cold smile of Alex, she decided to remain silent.
"Master Aeon, Thanks for your generosity." The elf lady said before quickly turning around and leaving the room with her companions.
'She looked disappointed, but it would all disappear after checking the space ring.' Alex thought as he walked toward the bathroom.
Alex took a freezing shower to relax his mind and relived all his experiences from the battles he fought in the death game and what he could have done better.
After twenty minutes, Alex exited the bathroom refreshed, wearing a silver and black robe, and went to take his seat on the sofa.
'Let's enjoy my food and check the forums.' Alex thought, checking the steaming hot food.
Alex checked normal player forums and even the game's official forums, and to his surprise, they were spammed with clips from his fight against Hurobak.
Players were discussing his Rank, and rumors were flying about Alex being a (SSS) Rank legacy holder with a strength of middle-stage fourth Rank.
The theories would have gone even wilder if the death game didn't have a strength cap, and within seconds, Alex received five messages from golden tokens, all from big giants of the world, offering their greetings and asking him to contact them.
'I will need a silver wish to block these annoying messages ringing in my head for a year, but I don't have one.' Alex thought, feeling a bit annoyed.
Alex didn't even open his message section, knowing it would be getting bombarded by thousands, if not more, as the players just needed his name, even if it belonged to his disguise, and Zero would deliver the message.
