Chapter 161 Viral

Name:MMORPG: Crowd Control Author:
After being briefed about the small boat being parked in the sea port, Lei Zhen bid farewell to them.

As for Kate, she was too embarrassed already to try to strike a conversation with him thanks to Robert's words.

By the time Lei Zhen's presence was gone, Francis smiled slightly at his beloved daughter.

"My dear Kate, you found a good man indeed but you also need to learn to let it go sometimes. He's someone that wants to spread his wings so forcefully tying him here would do him more harm than good." Francis tried to console his daughter.

It was the first time she had fallen in love so it might be difficult for her to control her emotions.

"I know, father. I merely wanted to give it a shot and have you reward him properly before he leaves. Lei Zhen have done so many things to help Yors Castle, so it would only be right if you reward him generously." Kate turned toward him and smiled.

"Wait a minute… was that your true motive the whole time?"

"Obviously. Did you really think I have high hopes for you to retain a talent like Lei Zhen? If so, then I would truly go on my knees and worship you."

After saying that, Kate's face turned expressionless as she stood up and left the room.

Francis was left astonished as he couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

He turned toward Robert and held a look of confusion.

"Did I misheard or was my beloved daughter using me?" He asked in a shocked tone.

"Heh, indeed, your daughter has grown up now. She's no longer the impulsive little princess anymore. She can scheme pretty well and her priority list seems to have altered a bit." Robert Knightman chuckled softly.

As for Francis being played by Kate, Robert was even more proud that Kate was able to do such an act in the first place.

Helpless by the situation, Francis could only sulk alone and leave it be. There was nothing else he could do despite realizing he was being manipulated into giving Lei Zhen a small boat as reward.

While Francis was busy debating if he had lost his charm, Lei Zhen had already returned to his office, calmly packing up the things neatly.

'This should be about it.' Lei Zhen thought to himself, clearing his desk in an organized manner.

He took a seat and calmly enjoyed sitting down for as long as possible, reminiscing his busy days when stamping down to approve numerous documents.

Currently, his level had risen to 20 after the mission completion of capturing the black mage, so he was able to unlock new skills in the skill tree section.

This time, he was able to gain a skill called [Rupture] in the skill tree section.

Rupture is a crowd control skill that knocks the enemy up on a designated location that he placed which deals damage as well, meaning he could actually do real damage now instead of relying on some attack scrolls.

'Rupture sure is an overpowered skill. Not only does it knock the opponent up, prompting them to be unable to retaliate for the time-being, but it also causes them to receive damage from the rupture aftermath.' Lei Zhen exclaimed inwardly, feeling extremely pleased by this new skill.

And while he was working on upgrading his stats and skills, Lei Zhen suddenly received a video call from Griselda.

Raising an eyebrow, Lei Zhen pressed the accept button, only to see an excited and smug look from Griselda.

"I can already tell something major has happened so spare me the unnecessary words." Lei Zhen swiftly said.

"Hehe, have you opened up Prime Tv yet to check the results?" Griselda smiled joyfully.

"Not yet, I didn't have the opportunity to do so, and last I recalled, we had around 1000 viewers or so."

"Hehe, quickly opened it now through the function of Magnolia. Look at the current viewers we have."

Being urged by her, Lei Zhen swiped around the tabs of the function and clicked on Prime Tv.

ραпdα nᴏνa| сom Opening the Zero Fear channel, Lei Zhen's eyes nearly popped out when he saw a massive increase of viewers.

From the initial 1000 viewers, there were now around 700 thousand viewers and it was still increasing at the moment. Not to mention, there were many subscribers to their channel.

"What the heck happened?" Lei Zhen asked in shock. "I was sure the video didn't gain much traction, but now it's already trending in the top 10."

"Have you heard of the writer called Jack Frigel?" Griselda suddenly asked.

"Who is that?" Lei Zhen shook his head. He had never heard of the name Jack Frigel before.

Griselda facepalmed and sighed softly, wondering if he was living under a rock the whole time or not.

"Jack Frigel is one of the most famous writers that focuses on Magnolia. Any articles that he has written would garner a lot of players' interest because he doesn't write garbage." She calmly explained.

"Hmm, based on that, I'm guessing that Jack Frigel wrote an article about our video so now the video is going viral." Lei Zhen concluded.

Griselda nodded her head. "Thank heaven you have common sense. Otherwise, I would really regret joining the guild."

"I'm ignorant of some things because I didn't pay attention to them in the past. However, that doesn't mean I'm ignorant of things that are common sense, Griselda." Lei Zhen explained.

Not knowing something doesn't equate to you being dumb.

There could be someone famous such as celebrities in a tv show or movie, but could still remain unknown to others because they don't focus on it or never watched them before.

"You're right, I shouldn't have judged you for being ignorant about Jack Frigel considering you have only jumped into Magnolia fairly recently." Griselda raised her hand and apologized for her previous tone.

"Apology accepted." Lei Zhen gladly accepted her apology.

"Anyway, so what is your next plan regarding our channel going viral now?" He then asked, slightly excited by the current result.
