Chapter 196 Docking

The conversation with Candice didn't place much on his mind as Lei Zhen finished organizing his current plan when landing at Athea.

Although he didn't plan to land there from the get-go, the incident with Peter Heisen made him choose to go there first.

Handing Peter Heisen and his accomplices over to the authorities of Athea was a way to establish a friendly relationship with them.

Not to mention, he had searched online that Althea housed numerous dungeons, available for players to explore and gain levels.

This was his time to shine to gain more fighting experience and the combat system of Magnolia.

'I will become a true Magnolia player. I will no longer sit behind desks and have meetings with NPC. I'm a player, destined to fight monsters and climb my rank in the adventurer's guild.' Lei Zhen clenched his fist and vowed to himself.

Ever since his registration to the adventurer's guild, he had started off with Bronze Rank but had not gotten the chance to complete much of the guild mission.

His current track record was horrendous, and he might have even gotten his rank revoked if it wasn't for his achievement and the secret vouch of Kate to the branch guild master located at Yors Castle.

Taking out the guild card, Lei Zhen smiled bitterly at his pathetic rank that hadn't increased for a while.

'I can do this. I'll definitely grind my rank higher and earn some of the guild's perks.' Lei Zhen exclaimed inwardly.

Although he was now a guild leader of Zero Fear, the adventurer's guild was a different operation and does not conflict with a player's guild.

It could be said that an adventurer's guild was like any common store except its main business was to offer missions for them to complete.

Time slowly passed by, and Caprice finally saw the light as it approached the docking area located in Athea.

"Finally, after a long and exhausting journey, our ship has finally arrived at Athea." Some of the crewmen were celebrating in joy as no one else could imagine the obstacles they had to face.

Meanwhile, Candice excitedly entered the Control Room to inform Lei Zhen of this news even though it was quite unnecessary.

He does have eyes to see outside the window and numerous ships being docked at Athea.

"Okay, you don't have to be that excited. We'll still need to give our information to the navel of Athea on our arrival." Lei Zhen said calmly.

No ships were allowed to be docked without authorization and if caught doing so, their ship would be locked and they might be sent to prison unless they pay a fine.

Thus, Lei Zhen had long notified Howard to prepare the necessary documents, including their ship, Caprice's data for the naval to inspect.

Howard swiftly maneuvered the ship to stop at a spot a bit away from the dock while waiting for a naval ship to approach them.

A bridge was soon lowered down to connect the two ships together and two uniformed men approached their ship.

"Hello, we are the naval soldiers of Athea, overseeing the docking of Tris Port." The two uniformed men informed.

"We are here to check your ship's data and the reason for your docking. After all, you are a new ship and we'll need to do the routine check."

"Of course, here's our documentation and we also captured some criminals along the way." Lei Zhen said and gave the necessary documents to them.

One of the soldiers grabbed the document and began checking it over whereas the other one looked at Lei Zhen in confusion.

"You've captured some criminals out at sea?" The soldier asked in a dazed tone. It wasn't common to have a ship capturing some criminals out in the sea.

Not to mention, he didn't see many powerful people on the ship, so the soldier didn't pay much attention to the supposedly criminal they had captured until Lei Zhen dropped the name.

"One of the criminals is called Peter Heisen and he was captured alongside three other accomplices who were trying to do arms dealing with a tyrannical country, Barasack." Lei Zhen informed them, only for the soldier to have his mouth left wide open.

The shocks that the soldier received were unbelievable as he needed a few minutes to regain his composure.

"You mean you have captured a dangerous wanted criminal??" The soldier asked in an astonished tone.

Lei Zhen nodded his head.

"I wouldn't be lying about it if you can easily check the criminal yourself would I?" He joked casually.

The soldier agreed with his logic as he didn't believe someone would have the nerve to toy with them. It would be equivalent to asking for their ship to be barred from docking and forced to leave the region.

No one would be stupid enough to do this much as a prank.

"Sorry, but I'll need to inform my superior about this. A dangerous wanted criminal like Peter Heisen isn't someone of my rank who can check at will." The soldier's tone visibly changed to a more respectful one.

If the news were true, then he didn't dare to underestimate the strength that this ship was holding. However, if it was truly a prank, then he could easily get vengeance.

Thus, it was best to be polite and respectable at the moment to prevent himself from offending a possible bigshot.

pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ Lei Zhen obviously didn't mind the soldier asking to leave to find his superior since this was quite a big matter. A normal foot soldier wouldn't have the authority to decide things by themselves.

"Do take your time, soldier. My crew and I will gladly wait here at the ship deck to wait for your superior." Lei Zhen replied.

"Thank you for your understanding." The soldier said and left in a hurry, grabbing his comrade in the meantime who was still busy checking the credentials of the documents.

'I wonder why they called Peter Heisen a dangerous wanted criminal anyway. He was pretty much brutally beaten by my crew black and blue. How dangerous could he be?' Lei Zhen wondered silently.
