"Overbearing? Oh, definitely. I agree with you on that part." Hearing Valyr's words, Tristan nodded in agreement. Then, he motioned Valyr to look at the screen he was showing him. "However, that's the system's words, not mine."
"Is that so?" With that in mind, Valyr's interest was somewhat piqued, finally taking a look at the description of the helmet he had given Valyr. Unsurprisingly, a solemn expression appeared on his face once he was finished reading through it. "Well… that's definitely worthy of being called supreme alright."

[Supreme Astarto Defense Helmet] (Level 8)
Rarity: Common+
Defense: 6 - 10
A helmet forged by a true prodigy using azure iron. Although the original blueprint of the helmet wastes most of the potential the material has, the one who had forged this helmet was able to awaken it with exotic materials, allowing it to achieve a level of defense normally unreachable by the original version, gaining the potential to reach higher levels. However, with the intervention of this maker, this potential shall forever remain untapped.
This helmet is radiating a faint yet unique type of energy that seem to resonate with other equipment. If the user finds other equipment that radiate the same type of energy, special effects might occur.

<Supreme Astarto Defense Set | 1/6>
Set Effects:
- 2 pieces - HP + 250
- 4 pieces - VIT + 10
- 6 pieces - Damage Reduction + 5%
Remarks: Well, it's definitely better than having no armor.

With the help of the Tier 1 Upgrade Alloy he had slapped onto every piece of the armor set, Valyr was not surprised to see the rarity of the helmet reach Common+, with the description of it mentioning that it would never be able to tap into its true potential. However, once he laid his eyes upon the set effects of the new set, he could not help but raise his eyebrows in surprise, recalling the effects of the old Astarto Defense Armor set.
'If I remember correctly, that set would only give 100 HP once three pieces were equipped, and +5 to VIT if all pieces were equipped.' Once this information surfaced in his mind, Valyr could not help but wonder if he had inadvertently created a new armor set. 'On the other hand, the effects on this set have been doubled. Add on the fact that it gives the user an additional 5% damage reduction…'
'I think I just made a scary early-game armor set.' Chuckling at the thought, Valyr told Tristan that he was finished reading through its description, informing the latter that he had no intention of making an improved version of the Astarto Defense Armor set in terms of its set effects. Hearing that, Tristan only became more motivated to find out how Valyr had done just that, asking the latter the question regarding the dark blue orbs once more.
But of course, Valyr gave him a knowing grin like before, telling him that if he wanted to find out how to craft this new armor set he had created by accident, he would have to give up on the Basic Reinforcement Elixirs. Thankfully, that was enough to deter Tristan once more, though it came with a bit of grumbling where he mentioned he'd find a way to craft a set similar to that.
Retrieving the helmet back from Tristan, he then tried wearing the entire set of armor on, instantly feeling the set effects activating as his body felt brimming with energy. After that, he walked around, quickly noticing that the armor only slightly hindered his movements, which was natural. Testing to see its limits, he then did a few basic moves in combat, finding the hindrance the armor brought more or less tolerable.
Satisfied with the armor set he had crafted, Valyr then took it off and placed all of it off to the side before asking Tristan if it was possible for him to store the armor set here for now until he entered the dungeon. In response, Tristan nodded and said he did not mind, informing Valyr soon after that he looked like a knight in faint crimson armor with the armor set on.
Chuckling at the thought, he then asked him another question. "Anyways, is that all you'll be forging for today?"
"Of course not." Valyr shook his head as he smiled at Tristan. "Naturally, if I've crafted a set of armor, I should also craft a fitting weapon for it, no?"
"But you already have the spear, right?" Tristan asked back, his expression somewhat confused. "Are you actually going to craft a new weapon for the dungeon?"
"Technically." With a light smile still adorning his face, Valyr retrieved the spear affixed to his back and placed it on the anvil. After that, he rummaged out the spear tip he had placed in his pocket before he left to head to the smithy, throwing it into the furnace to get it red hot. "What I'm actually doing is that I'm going to modify my current spear."
Hearing those words come out of Valyr's mouth, Tristan's eyes could not help but widen in shock. "Seriously?! You're seriously going to modify a spear with a weapon bond?! Aren't you afraid it'll be lost?!"
As he said these words, Tristan recalled all of the times he had tried modifying a weapon in order for it to reach a higher tier. Unfortunately for him, most of them ended up in failure, with only one being successful.
That one success was the weapon he forged for Damian for use during the monster tide.
In response to Tristan's string of questions, Valyr let out a bit of laughter, taking out the heated spear tip from the furnace before placing on top of his spear's wooden tip. Hammering the two together, he responded, "Why would I be afraid? Don't you remember my class?"
As Valyr's words entered his ears, Tristan's anxiety regarding what Valyr was doing mostly disappeared in an instant, the thought that a Mythic blacksmith class would definitely have something that assured a successful modification lingering in his mind. Nevertheless, he still could not help but worry. "I know what kind of class you have, and I believe in it, but what if it does happen?"
"Then it happens. It is what it is, after all." Seeing Valyr so nonchalant as to whether or not the spear would break during the modification, Tristan could not help but wonder if he had truly prepared for it to break, or if he was confident that it would be successful. Then again, with the armor set Valyr had forged so far, his thoughts could not help but lean towards the latter.
Of course, Valyr also had the same thoughts, confident in his accrued experience and the boost in success rate given by his Mythic class. Opening up the skill in his mind to double check its description, Valyr continued to meld the spear tip and the spear together, feeling as if a higher level of power was being unearthed.

[True Prodigious Equipment Modification] (Level 1/10)
Rarity: Common
A normal prodigy takes the norm and ascends it to a level few can reach. On the other hand, a true prodigy takes the norm and transforms it into something greater, becoming something even prodigies yearn to achieve.
This skill gives the user to modify weapons as they see fit, given that they have the compatible materials needed for the modification to happen. Due to the user being a true prodigy, this limitation in materials is somewhat loosened with their talent, with the user gaining a 5% increased chance at a successful modification.

Whoosh!
Eventually, the metal spear tip he had forged back then had completely melded with the spear, turning into one entity as a faint ringing sound soon resounded from the spear while a faint breeze spread throughout the smithy. Sensing the connection between him and the spear, Valyr could tell that the sound the spear was making was its way of expressing joy, feeling as if it had become more useful to him.
Soon after, the metal spear tip took on the same color as the shaft it had been transferred to, only for it to turn a deeper crimson not long after as a string of notifications resounded in Valyr's mind.
