With Ancient being the rarity that came after Mythic, Divine stood one step above Ancient. Due to how high of a rarity was, players and beings alike would only come across such items once they had gone past the levels of transcending mortality in Greater Beyond, with Mythic and Ancient items being found on items frequently used by many at that stage.
From what the name suggested, those that were of the Divine rarity commanded a level of strength that bordered on the realms of divinity, allowing those that have ownership of such items to be able to achieve feats that even Myths would have difficulty achieving with their strength.
In fact, classes of the Divine rarity were said to be the highest possible rarity one could obtain while still in the realm of mortals, which pertained to Rank 0 to 5. However, unlike Mythic grade classes, which were already said to have incredibly stringent requirements that would take luck to obtain, Divine grade classes went a few more steps beyond that, its requirements greatly insurmountable to the average layman.
If anything, those knowledgeable about Divine grade classes usually mentioned that one would need the help of a god to obtain it.
And that was the truth.
Though Divine grade classes became more and more common the higher one went through the power hierarchy of the Greater Beyond, to obtain a Divine grade class while being a mortal meant that would one tie themselves to an actual god, becoming their apostle of sorts.
On the other hand, Ancient grade classes showcased the pinnacle of what a certain race is able to achieve, with most classes at this grade signifying a path that a legendary figure had taken in the past. As for Mythic grade classes, these classes were usually said to denote the path of geniuses among geniuses, something that these beings had obtained through their own abilities.n--OVeLB1n
With how the monster tier system worked, a monster at the Divine Elite tier meant that it would have thrice the amount of stats as a normal monster of the same level, causing such monsters to instill immense dread to those that were less talented yet of a high rank, much less to say about monsters that went beyond such a tier.
"[Limit Break]." Reminding himself that letting even one of the aberrations land a hit on him would undoubtedly end his life before the Gates of Enlightenment could intervene, Valyr did not hesitate to start expending more of his mana to bolster his stats, evening out the playing field as he started to dash away from the group of aberrations.
However, with the aberrations now having a far higher AGI stat compared to an empowered Valyr, it did not take long for the aberrations to catch up with him, with some even overshooting their trajectory as they tried to land a couple of hits on the young man. Fortunately, his high DEX stat made up for his lack of agility, deftly swerving through all of the hits the aberrations tried to land on him as he activated [Feather Steps+] to hasten his movement speed even further.
"[Crimson Blade Torrent]!" Empowering his attack with [Offense Aura+], Valyr sent out his usual barrage of crimson blades at the group of aberrations, all of them causing a small explosion to erupt on the surface of the aberrations' bodies after making contact. Sadly, not even emptying his entire pool of mana to fire the crimson blades was able to topple down all of the aberrations, with a third of them still standing strong.
"Grrrrwwwaaaggghhhh!!!" Letting out a bestial roar, the remaining aberrations' speeds suddenly increased as the auras they emanated had undergone a considerable increase out of nowhere. Inwardly cursing at the thought that the Gates of Enlightenment had given them a berserk skill after reaching Divine Elite tier, the young man ran as far as his legs could take him, hoping that the effect would die out as long as he ran far enough.
Unfortunately, not even a few minutes of incessant high-speed running could dispel the elixir of power the aberrations seemed to have taken, leaving Valyr with no choice but to activate [Second Arcane Wind] before shooting out a barrage of crimson blades once more. Thankfully, this barrage was enough to render the remaining aberrations dead, which finally allowed the young man to rest up as he let out a long sigh of relief.
"Some kind of preferential treatment this is." Sitting on the ground as he grabbed a stamina, health, and mana potion out of his spatial bracelet before downing it all at once, Valyr was reminded of the words the disembodied voice had told him before the trial began, telling him how he had already shown that he had what it takes to make use of the Gates of Enlightenment's knowledge.
'I better change how I fight against these monstrosities.' After feeling that he was returning to a better condition, the young man stood up and proceeded to distance himself from the aberration corpses, noting that he had basically given the aberrations the chance to do a two-pronged attack on him if he were to move wrongly. 'With how the aberrations' strengths grow with every 10 groups, I feel like I'll die because I've run out of mana potions first rather than actually succumbing from these things.'
Keeping an eye on when the aberrations were reviving once more, Valyr began to ponder over the other methods in his arsenal that would allow him to fight against the aberrations. Though his Attack stat now scaled accordingly to his INT stat, the fact that it was only half as effective as it should be greatly hampered him. If the stat scaled fully to his INT, then he wouldn't have even thought about changing to another combat style.
"Summoning definitely wouldn't work," muttered Valyr to himself, incredibly certain that the boars he summoned would just be running to their deaths if he were to do that. Even if he were to utilize Growth Summoning on a new set of boars to scale to his new stats, their stats would still be far from enough to contend against the insanely overpowered aberrations.
"Does that mean I can only rely on that, then?" With summoning a no-go, Valyr let out a sigh as he removed the spear affixed on his back, instantly feeling the spear attempt to siphon his energy even before he began combat. Taking in a deep breath as he finally communicated with his spear after not doing so for quite a long while, the young man began to think about his chances of clearing the remaining nine groups of Divine Elite tier aberrations with the spear.
Fortunately, it did not take long for him to find out that, surprisingly, his chances of succeeding were actually quite high.
