Chapter 890 Four Pillars: The First Blacksmith

"Wha—?!"

When Valyr accepted the prompt at first, the young man felt a surge of energy course throughout his entire body.

Closing his eyes to savor the sensation, he felt the strength contained in his body break through their previous limits with every passing second, with the same happening for his stats.

Not only that, but he felt his knowledge on the field of blacksmithing gradually expand as well, continuing off of the foundation he'd already built as a True Prodigious Blacksmith.

However, just as the process of inheriting the First Blacksmith class was nearing completion, the young man immediately felt his strength gradually dissipating into thin air.

Shocked, Valyr opened his eyes as he looked at Vaughn, who merely looked back at him with a knowing smile.

Taking a look at the notifications that followed, the young man continued to sense his strength regressing to a lower level, making him feel as if all the effort he'd gone through so far had all gone to waste.

Fortunately, after a minute or so, his strength stopped decreasing, prompting him to let out a sigh of relief.

Clenching his fists and doing a few basic movements to get a basic idea of how much strength he'd lost, the young man soon calculated that he could only exhibit roughly a tenth of the usual strength he had just earlier.

Reading a certain notification where it had something to do with an Arbiter, Valyr immediately looked at Vaughn with slight murderous intent, understanding that the man had something to do with it.

Though, that murderous intent soon disappeared as he read the final notification he received from the system, prompting him to take a few deep breaths to calm himself down.

Becoming silent for a bit after that to make sure he had gotten his emotions under control, Valyr gave Vaughn a slightly apologetic smile as he opened up his status screen.

"Thanks."

"Well, it's my fault for not telling you beforehand," said Vaughn as he flashed an apologetic smile in response. "In situations like these, the Authority stat really is handy."

"Even more so when the increase in rarity doesn't apply retroactively," replied Valyr as he nodded in agreement.

Whoosh!

Looking at the amount of unused XP he had on hand, the young man's eyes slightly widened in surprise for a bit before letting out a bit of laughter.

After that, he took a look at his status screen in greater detail, noticing that all of his stats were over 100 points in total, with some even breaching the 200 point mark.

"I wonder how I'd fare now if I were to fight against Daon and Dawan." Feeling satisfied with the various improvements the new class had given him, the young man thought back to his final fight in the Gates of Awakening.

Imagining the fight in his mind once more if both sides were to go all out, Valyr had a feeling that he would now be able to stand on equal footing against the two in certain areas.

'Though, if they were to go all out and were in their main bodies, I'm sure that wouldn't be the case.'

"With you inheriting my previous class, all that's left is to go through the Concept Impartation." While Valyr was thinking about the fight, Vaughn reminded the young man that he had not yet received his first reward.

With that, Valyr focused his attention on Vaughn, looking at the man with a hint of expectation.

In response, Vaughn let out a bit of laughter, retrieving the Crystallized Nomological Shards he had stored earlier before setting up a construct that would allow the Concept Impartation to take place.

While Vaughn was in the midst of setting up the construct, a thought soon occurred in the young man's mind. "Now that I think about it, how much time has passed in the outside world since we entered the Gates of Transcendence?"

"Roughly half a week, give or take," replied Vaughn.

"Really?" said the young man in slight disbelief.

"Do keep in mind I'm manipulating the flow of time here while keeping an eye on the state of the war outside." Vaughn looked at the young man for a bit before returning his attention on the construct. "If I didn't, you might have left this inheritance well after the war had already reached its climax."

"Speaking of which, be prepared to get hit with vertigo the moment you get out."

"I'll definitely keep that in mind." Committing the man's last statement to memory, Valyr shifted the topic of their conversation to the two that left before him. "How are Hal and Vera doing?"

"They've long left the inheritance," replied Vaughn as he began to add the finishing touches on the construct. "Surprisingly, the weapons that resonated with them were pretty close to the central weapon."

"I see." Valyr nodded in understanding, glad that the two were able to gain a lot more from the inheritance. "Do you perhaps know what they're up to in the outside world?"

"Aside from joining the war efforts, not one bit."

After saying those words, Vaughn let out a faint sigh of relief as he stepped back from the construct.

Then, without hesitation, he placed his hands on one of the crystal shards he brought out, infusing his energy into it as he brought the construct to life.

Whoosh!

"Alright then."

"Let's begin your Concept Impartation.
