Chapter 1052: Exploring Versatility
"...Alright."
Whoosh!
Opening his eyes, Valyr let out a contented sigh as he brought up his status screen to take a look at how much Mystic Energy he'd gained.
"Huh. 183 points this time around." Going through the various calculations in his mind, it did not take long for him to obtain his answer, his eyes slightly widening in surprise once he figured it out.
"Ain't that like 50% more what I gained the first time I did it?"
As he muttered those words to himself, the young man soon shifted his gaze towards both Mystia and Marcus, who were both still in a cross-legged position, their senses focused inwards as they were in the midst of purifying their Mystic Energy.
After he agreed to their request of teaching them how to purify Mystic Energy, Valyr went ahead and explained the purification process to the two as best as he could, deciding to start simple by having them push their Mystic Energy to the Pure stage first.Điscover new chapters at novelhall.com
Of course, the two bombarded him with questions along the way, hoping to clear up the confusion they had about the overall process.
At the same time, the young man had a few questions of his own while doing so, with most of them having something to do with Marcus.
That was due to the fact that Marcus was the Overseer of the Mystic Plane, the so-called personification of the plane itself that has the ability to wield the entire plane's power.
With that in mind, then it would make sense that Marcus would have the ability to conjure the pure version of Mystic Energy itself since he had access to the strength Valyr had contributed to the plane.
In response to that train of thought, Marcus explained to Valyr that although he could access that energy the moment Valyr opened the gates for him, he would suffer from a decrease in potency and quality if he did not go through the process just like them.
Which thus led to the current case of both Mystia and Marcus purifying their Mystic Energy in preparation for the later stages of the purification method, with Mystia noticeably making more progress than Marcus was.
In the end, he figured out that he was able to expand the field to span over 15 meters in radius, while having a level of potency high enough to visibly heal surface wounds.
'I'd only be able to sustain it for a few seconds at most for now, though,' thought Valyr to himself, slightly eager to purify his Mystic Energy for that reason.
After giving his Mystic Energy the time it needed to recover for a bit, he then moved onto the last couple of purposes Mystia briefed him on, which was to use the Mystic Energy to empower allies and to debilitate enemies.
Surprisingly, a great amount of Mystic Energy was siphoned out of him the moment he began to think about using the energy to empower someone, causing the attempt to fail before it could even manifest in his surroundings.
Giving himself all the time he needed to regenerate his Mystic Energy back to full, the young man was only met with the same conclusion, now realizing that Mystia's words regarding the last two purposes were not to be taken lightly.
"I suppose I need 5,000 points to make it briefly manifest?" asked the young man to himself as he went over the experience, briefly doing a few calculations in his mind. "It'd probably be better to push it to 8,000 to be sure it lasts for at least a second."
"Of course, I should focus on purifying Mystic Energy as well," reminded Valyr to himself, chuckling as he let his thoughts wander for a bit.
"Hmm..." Briefly glancing at Mystia and Marcus from time to time, a thought gradually surfaced within Valyr's mind, which he immediately focused on the moment he noticed it. "Is it even possible?" Going over the thought in his mind a couple of times to be sure, the young man suppressed his excitement as he released a bit of Mystic Energy into his
surroundings.
Then, going over the thought he had one last time, he then infused a purpose into the Mystic Energy that was different from all of the ones he'd gone through before.
He didn't infuse it with the purpose of defending something, healing something, empowering something, or debilitating something.
Instead... he willed his Mystic Energy to manifest with the purpose of forging something.
Whoosh!
And surprisingly enough...
It worked.
