1084 One Word
Whoosh!
Gazing at the strand of blue-white energy Valyr conjured atop his extended palm, Mystia began to slightly frown as she felt that the energy the young man was showing him felt somewhat familiar to her.
Fortunately, it did not take long for everything to click in her mind, prompting her to look at the young man with slightly widened eyes as she realized what the young man had just done.
"Did you combine mana and Mystic Energy?" she asked Valyr after a bit of contemplation, surprisingly taking a bit of time to realize that the blue part of the energy was actually mana.
Valyr nodded in response. "In any way, I did... but I also didn't."
As those words left his mouth, the young man then began to explain how he'd gotten to his current point to Mystia, hoping that she could possibly shed some light into his problems from an outsider's perspective.
With that, he briefly explained the process of creating Azure Energy to Mystia, even going so far as to show her firsthand the creation of Azure Energy itself.
Then, once she had a rough idea of what was going on, the young man then shifted her attention towards the fusion of mana and Mystic Energy he was doing, talking about how he planned on applying the same concept behind the creation of Azure Energy into it.
Explaining how he had to reduce the purity of his mana to make sure that the purity of the two energies were balanced, Valyr briefly lamented the lack of time he had to work on improving his Mystic Energy before talking about his findings in greater detail.
Conjuring a translucent arm with the blue-white strand he conjured, Valyr showcased how the two energies had become intertwined in terms of form and function, showing how the relationship between them was mutually beneficial.
"As you can see, with mana and Mystic Energy braided together, the form the Mystic Energy takes first consumes the energy that's contained with mana before consuming more Mystic Energy from you," said Valyr, moving the translucent arm according to his thoughts.
In response, the blue strand that snaked around the arm gradually thinned with the passing of time.
Watching the arm move as if it were a refined craftsman in midair, Mystia could not help but form a question in her mind as she watched the blue strand around the arm grow thinner and thinner.
Then, out of nowhere, she began to look at the young man with a weird expression. "Odd."
"What's odd?" Valyr raised his eyebrow.
"The fact that you haven't comprehended one yet," replied Mystia, causing a bit of confusion to the young man.
Fortunately, she began to explain herself soon after. "Think about it. You've learned a lot about Mystic Energy while you were in the Mystic Plane. You showed us how to manipulate it in a way that was different from what Marcus and I knew."
"You even solved the problem that I thought would take me centuries."
"And now, you've shown me how to combine mana and Mystic Energy together into something greater." Mystia looked at Valyr in the eyes. "You've done all of that... yet you haven't comprehended even an Intent Seed on the energy yet?"
"I don't know." Having someone lay out all of the amazing things he'd done with Mystic Energy, even Valyr himself began to wonder why he hadn't started comprehending an Intent Seed yet. "I guess I still lack that missing piece that would allow me to take that step."
As those words left his mouth, the young man thought about how he'd obtained all of his other Intents so far, causing him to realize that none of them really came about through pure comprehension.
If anything, all of them came about either due to the intervention of the system, or due to the aid he'd been given by other people.
Though she felt a bit of pity towards the young man's plight, there wasn't really much Mystia could do. "Maybe you just need a little push. Perhaps, all you need is the concept that binds it together."
"Concept..." As he listened to her words, Valyr felt all of his focus gravitate towards that word, finally understanding the missing piece he needed to achieve his goal.
Feeling the various thoughts he had about Mystic Energy finally click into place, the young man soon closed his eyes, giving his mind the freedom to delve deeper into the truths that the universe offered.
The truth... that would finally allow him to comprehend the Intent he sought after.
