Chapter 1243 Looking at Skills

Chapter 1243 Looking at Skills

'...Although they didn't say it outright, they definitely confirmed it.'

By the time Valyr was done reading through all of the notifications he received from both Adam and Eve, the smile on his face turned into a grin. After all, the notifications he got were clear proof that the two didn't renege on their promises.

'I'll be able to access these skills once I return to my identity as Valyr Zeihardt,' thought Valyr to himself as he let out a faint chuckle, only to correct himself soon after as a thought came to mind.

'On second thought, I'll only be able to access most of these skills. I have a feeling [Obscuration of True Fate] won't carry over since it only helps my current identity out.'

'...Aside from that, I also probably wouldn't have access to the boosts Eve's title gave me when I'm in Greater Beyond as my other self,' continued the young man in his mind, letting out a faint sigh as he felt a bit glum from the realization.

'Then again, it's not like it's impossible.' Fortunately, it did not take too long for him to comfort himself. 'Adam did give me a skill that would allow me to use the strengths of both identities at once, after all.'

'Speaking of which, I suppose I should take a look at these skills I got in greater detail.'

With that in mind, the young man immediately made his way to a less frequented portion of the village, hoping to reduce his chances of other players or NPCs finding out his new secret. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"...Alright." After checking a few more times to confirm that no people would be able to check in on what he was doing, it was only then did Valyr command the system to bring up the descriptions of the new skills and titles he got, neatly laying all of them out in front of him.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

[Soul Shift] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: ???

A skill created by the Third Administrator for a special being.

This skill gives the user the ability to switch to another part of their soul, allowing them to swap to an identity that is completely separate and different from the original.

The duration of the skill depends on the difference in levels between the original identity and the alternate identity, wherein the user will be able to stay in their alternate identity for longer if they remain in their original identity for longer first.

Of course, this limitation is removed once both the original and alternate identity are of the same level, allowing the user to swap between both identities at anytime at the cost of energy.

Alternate identity: Valyr Zeihardt (Lv. 75)

Maximum duration: 1 day

[Note: The maximum duration increases by 1 minute for every 72 minutes the user stays in their original identity. Once the duration runs out, the user is forced to return to their original identity. The skill only becomes usable once more after at least one hour of duration has been recharged.]

...What? You thought there was more to it?

[Obscuration of True Fate] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: ???

A skill created by the Fifth Administrator for a special being.

This skill allows the attention the Apparatus has towards the user to be separated to a different part of the soul, allowing the remaining portion of the soul to be unaffected.

This skill nullifies the effects of 'Defier of Fate' titles the user's other identities might have on their original identity, allowing the user to improve their original identity's strength unimpeded.
