"That marksman bullet was more painful, I couldn't breath after I was shot, if not for my defense I would have died"
"That was why I chose you for the bait" Alex chuckled.
"Yeah but next time I won't be the bait" Max shrugged.
"Do any of you know how to throw knives?" Rebecca asked.
"No" all of them answered.
"Then who is going to teach me how to throw knives, or is there somewhere you can learn in the city?"
"I'm not sure, I'm not even sure there are shops that sell throwing knives in the city" Max said.
"We haven't asked, the man in the weapon shop might have them" Alex said.
"Ohh we should teach her how to use other weapons like this flintlock I got from the marksman or the revolvers you got" Gabriel said.
"The weapons are not compatible with her, they wouldn't deal any damage, even if they did it won't be much" Max told Gabriel.
"I'm fully healed, how about you guys?" Alex asked.
"We are good, we should head back before we encounter more trouble" Max said.
"Wait, I need to find my second dagger, that one is pretty important, it would be around here" Alex said and stood up from the ground.
"I found it" Gabriel said as he saw the dagger on the ground beside a tree.
"Thanks" Alex said as Gabriel handed him the dagger.
[Blood absorbed 2%]
The notification came up as Gabriel handed him the dagger, the blood absorbed by the dagger was now at two percent, Alex didn't even make a fuss he just opened his inventory and put the dagger back in.
He didn't know why the dagger was absorbing blood, but it would reveal itself when the blood absorbed is up to 100%, so Alex was waiting.
Alex stretched his body and the group continued on their journey back, this time they were more vigilant and looked around so they wouldn't be caught off guard like before.
If not for Alex all of them would probably be dead by now but they survived thanks to Alex and his plan of messaging them instead of talking.
"So Alex, how was the top 5 player, how powerful was she?" Max asked.
"She was really powerful, her arrows would be able to kill anything in her path, she even had a skill that could destroy mountains" Alex said.
"Did you send her a friend request, can you chat with her?" Gabriel asked.
"Was she beautiful?" Rebecca asked.
"Yes I can chat with her and she was really pretty but she had a scar on her face so she always wear a mask, I was just lucky to see her face" Alex said.
"She had a scar on her face, and she was still pretty?"
"Yes, she had white hair and blue eyes, I wonder where she is right now"
"You can chat with her right, ask her, maybe she would be interested in joining our team" Rebecca said and the boys looked at her.
"Why would she be interested in joining our team, besides we are low level player so we won't be able to do anything if she is around" Alex said.
"But that is good right, you won't have to worry about someone attacking you" Rebecca said.
"That's the whole point of PvP, player attacking player so the winner can gain more experience and fighting skills" Max spoke.
"But why...if you exit the game, all those experience and fighting skills are gone, it's not like you can have them in real life" Rebecca said.
"You are making the game less interesting" Max pouted.
"Should I give you an example, buy throwing knives in the real world and learn how to throw them, then you wouldn't need to learn it in the game, if you do the opposite then you wouldn't need to learn it in real life" Alex explained.
"Another example, if someone was learning archery in real life and in the game he choose to become an Archer, would it be hard for that person to hunt an animal down?" Alex asked.
"Ohh... that's true, but it's not the same for everything, it's only the same for people using a weapon, take Gabriel for example he's a mage, magic Isn't real in the real world" Rebecca spoke.
"But it's real her and I'm kicking a lot of ass so I'm okay" Gabriel said making Rebecca to chuckle.
"We are finally back" Max said as they exited the forest.
They had been walking for a while and now they could finally see the city in front of them, though they were still in the forest, the trees around the entrance were scattered around so the city can be seen.
The group walked towards the city when a clanging sound alerted the group and they all bent their heads, the sounds was coming from the forest a little far from where they were.
"They are fighting, should we ignore them" Max whispered.
"How can we ignore two people fighting, we should..."
"We should kill both of them and collect more XP" Alex cut off Rebecca before she could finish.
"That wasn't what I was going to say, but that makes more sense, they are just two so you guys can take care of them" Rebecca whispered.
"Rebecca, there is no guarantee that we would come across undead warriors, so how else would you improve your XP and level?" Alex asked.
"But I can't fight, after I get a weapon and you guys train me then we can talk about that"
"Wait...what about the men that came with you, they are skilled right, you can ask them to train you" Alex said.
"Yes that's a good idea, we should also join her, they can be able to train all of us, that way we would all be better at close combat" Max suggested.
"That's a good idea, but would they be okay with that, teaching a bunch of college students how to fight"
"They would do as I say, and I'm sure they would be happy, because they would be able to beat you guys during the training" Rebecca smiled.
