Chapter 159 159 Gods' Among Men



"I told you I lost my powers, I told you to be careful, don't blame this on me, even if you have a way to escape you won't be able to fight her head on and win,"

"Do you have a plan what do I need to do, tell me" Alex shouted.

"How would I have a plan, you can't defeat her, she's not human, she's far stronger and fastest than you, and you are tied up"

"Tied up, what do you mean?"

"Is she there with me now?"

"You can't escape but I'll send you back and see, try your best, I'll also try to assist you if I can," the man said and Alex felt himself losing consciousness, and the next time he opened his eyes he was in a dark room.

The room wasn't all that dark as little light penetrated the room from a tiny window, Alex looked around and the room was empty. He was currently tied to a chair.

His legs were tied and his hands were at his back fully tied with no way of escape. Alex struggled to break free from the room but all to no avail, but still he had no choice but to struggle.

'I have to keep struggling, I need to break free from this, if this was Nova Online I would have brought out one of my daggers from my inventory' Alex mumbled.

'Mum, Dad, Ariana, Alisha I'm really sorry, I love you guys' Alex muttered as he closed his eyes.

He knew he couldn't escape and his struggles so far were in vain, the ropes weren't showing any sign of falling apart so he gave up.

It seems what the sixth elder god said was true, Alex was only human and he was no match for Bridget, even with all his achievements and level-up in Nova Online he still couldn't break free.

Suddenly Alex heard footsteps coming closer with each passing second, and from what he could hear Bridget wasn't alone, she was with someone, Alex quickly closed his eyes and controlled his breathing so it would look like he was sleeping.

The door opened and Bridget walked in along with two other people, Alex still didn't open his eyes as he wasn't sure if they were staring at him or not.

"There he is," Bridget said.

"He's really handsome, it looks like he became even more handsome than the last time I saw him" a female voice spoke surprising Alex.

'Last time she saw me, then that means we have met before, I'm sure they are looking at me, I shouldn't open my eyes just yet'

"Even if you present him to us, we can't do anything about it, the elder gods said his death is needed for humanity to survive, and you were sent to kill him, you shouldn't have second thoughts," a male voice said this time.

"I know I shouldn't have second thoughts but killing him is kinda cruel, I didn't have to kill the others, I just had to watch them for some time and only kill them if they show certain signs"

"But Alex here has unlocked some of the abilities of the sixth"

"Huh!! he unlocked the abilities of the sixth elder god, how would a human unlock the ability of a god without the blessing of the god" the male asked.

"That means he came in contact with the sixth, isn't that the reason you were sent to kill him?" the female asked.

"That's right, but he did it in your game so I wasn't sure if he could do it in real life," Bridget said

"You already know Nova Online is an extension of the real world, the players and people there are real, my powers made it possible for humans to visit that magical realm and made it look like a game" the male spoke.

'What are they talking about, they are talking like they are the owners of Nova Online...wait... maybe it's the owner of Nova Online' Alex mumbled under his breath and slowly opened his eyes to see who was with Bridget.

Alex slowly opened his eyes and immediately they were opened enough to see what was in front of him, his eyes came in contact with another pair of eyes.

The lady in front of him was looking Alex straight in his eyes and she was so close to him that if she moved a little her lips would touch his.

"I knew he wasn't asleep," Aurora said with a smile on her face.

"Both of us knew he wasn't asleep, his breathing wasn't even and you could tell he tried to struggle out of the ropes," Bridget said.

"Even a human would know he was awake, how come you just figured it out," Aaron asked Aurora.

Aurora was still in front of him blocking his view and he couldn't see Bridget or the male close to her, and something about Aurora seem strange, the more he looked at her the more compelled he felt.

He felt like he wanted to worship her, to call her master and before he knew it, hardness began to build in his pants as he stare at her beautiful face.

"Aurora, why are you using your powers on him" Aaron shouted and she backed away pouting.

As soon as she moved away his senses began to return to normal and he couldn't believe what just happened, someone he hadn't seen before, someone he just met and he wanted to be her slave.

"You have powers, what did you do to me just now?" Alex asked looking at her.

"Hi, I'm Aurora goddess of lust, or what I used to be before I came here with him, when I came only looking at my face would get any male bewitched but now I need to use my powers, Earth isn't a place for gods and goddesses," Aurora said and Alex jaws were hanging in surprise.

He turned his head to the other side and saw the male who was standing close to Bridget, "You are Aaron, the chief Creator of Nova Online" Alex shouted.

"Yes I am, and you are the avatar of the sixth, nice meeting you under these circumstances," Aaron said with a smile.

"So you knew I was awake, then why didn't you do anything?" Alex asked.

"Because nothing you say or do would influence our decision so they was no need to be wary of you" Aaron spoke.

"But...we do have some questions and we'll like you to answer them," Aaron said.

"Before that can I ask you a question," Alex said.

"Who are you?" Alex asked.

"I'm Aaron, god of games, and this is the assassin goddess, Naka" Aaron pointed to Bridget and she waved her hands towards Alex.

"You are an assassin goddess sent to kill me?"

"Yes, but you are lucky to still be alive, I wanted to kill you before you made that train back home, but you were too cute so I gave you a few days," Bridget said.

"Back at the eatery!! Why do the gods hate me that much, I didn't offend any of the gods, I didn't choose to have a stupid mark, why me!!" Alex shouted.

"Shouting isn't going to get rid of the date you were born with, but we can think of something if we get answers from you" Aaron spoke.

"What do you want to know?" Alex asked.

"Have you met the sixth, did you engage in a conversation?" Aaron asked.

"Was he part of the other gods, I met them in Nova Online when I passed out" Alex said.

"You met the elder gods?" Aaron asked, Bridget and Aurora were now staring at Ray waiting for his answer.

"Yes, they were really scary, telling me about how I was cursed, an imperfection, stuff like that, I'm sure I heard a female among them," Alex said and when he looked at the three of them he was surprised.

The three of them were shocked, it seems they could not believe he met the elder gods.
