131. A Quiet Night in Fieldton, Part 4 (R-18)
*Fucked the Desert Rose Dryad – One Forest Mark!*
If Gabby is right, the ‘Dryad’ part is redundant with my defeating Mother Heather, and that mark is for the Cactus Treefolk rung on Isabella’s evolutionary path.
*Marks Reconfigured!*
*Desert Rose Dryad Lover – Two Forest Marks!*
I decide to take both my Cactus and Dryad marks from the same source as far as keeping track of my totals goes.

“I’m a... Dust Bunny?” Moka says, awestruck while staring at herself in the water Mirror I conjure with my magic. She’s neither upset nor excited by the change—I’d say she’s more overwhelmed than anything. “That’s stupidly rare! We only have a few back home. I never thought I’d be one of them.”
The man and bird girl share a slow, intimate kiss that lasts a few minutes before they break it off.
“And Mulu. I want her too. I know she’s pregnant with Doug’s kid, but I talked with him. He’s not interested in her, just the baby once she gives birth.”
Since Mulu basically raped the defenseless DILF, I’m not surprised, just thankful there isn’t too much bad blood there. I still think Douglas is a saint for taking care of all the kids he was forced to father.
The Pitcher Treefolk in question blushes dark green and another row of flowers sprouts in her hair. I already asked Jonny’s opinion of Mulu, but I think he’s the only guy who could turn a pernicious Pitcher into a Dryad.
“You two have my blessing as well.”
He gives me a grateful hug, smearing Dura’s fluids all over my thighs. Glad we have that settled.
Further conversation reveals that Bonny wants her and Jonny’s baby, but there’s an obvious complication. While bunnies can be a little cavalier about who they have sex with, mice are one of—if not the—smallest adult monster. Getting Bonny pregnant with a Harpy egg is risky enough (it’s more streamlined coming out compared to an infant with four limbs and a head to get tangled and caught on things), but there’s just no way her tiny body is birthing a full term human baby.
C-section is a possibility, but the last few months of her pregnancy would still be hellish with the fetus crushing her internal organs. Most likely, Bonny won’t survive the nine months or will give birth very prematurely—endangering the baby’s life.
Fortunately, I have magical solutions. If Jonny impregnates me, I’ll be able to use my Maternal Inheritance ability to affect things. Since it’s my first time using it (I stupidly forgot to check my menus after Isabella impregnated me), this should be interesting. Let’s see what kind of options I have...
Oh! Oh... wow. I mean, holy fucking God Beast, but damn.
Okay, so, the first piece of good news is that—weirdly enough—the Inheritance ability works retroactively. It doesn’t matter that I waited this long to start using it! All the monsters I’ve given my Partner Tracker mark are connected to me, allowing me to activate my Maternal (if I’m the biological mother) or Paternal Inheritance remotely as long as it’s done prior to birth.
The second good thing is that there’s an ability that obviously addresses Bonny’s concern, called Maternal Customization. It’s right under Maternal Inheritance on the Breeder menu. I bet I can use it to manipulate the child’s size and other characteristics to be less hostile to the mouse girl’s body. Hurray!
Thirdly, when I select a Maternal option for Inheritance, it asks whether I’m modifying the spawn or surrogate. The most obvious application is giving Maternal Fetus Protection to my surrogates, which will be a huge weight off my shoulders. Given my girls’ brushes with death today, we’re lucky nobody has miscarried yet. Going forward, this is an essential pick.
Fourthly, Inheritance allows me to transfer any ability I’ve gained to my spawn. Well, almost any. They need to be 'first stage' abilities. So I couldn't make mice with Ogre Strength, but I could do Doggins with Slime cores, or Mermaids with wings. Still, the possibilities seem endless. Wait, I can’t be the first Echidna, so where are all the mutants? I guess they wouldn’t be around forever if their special traits aren’t inheritable, and they didn’t achieve a Longevity ability in their lifetime. Also, my entire Region is a relatively small area. That’ll have to be a good enough explanation for now.
Lastly, my Breeder menu has gotten weird. Freaky, even. Some of these new options I unlocked today are pretty far out there, even for me. I’ll take a more detailed look later because I need a minute to process this shit.
I explain the gist of things (except my weird Breeder options, of course) to Bonny and Jonny, who come to an agreement with me. Bonny feels bad about making me waste a mark on a suboptimal ability, but I convince her I’ll come out ahead in terms of marks once I implant Jonny’s spawn in her tummy.
Lucinia, on the other hand, prefers she and Jonny try for a child on their own, and whatever happens, happens. Far be it from me to butt in on their relationship.
As for Brenda... I’ll circle back around to her. There’s someone else I need to speak with first.
By this time, Jonny is standing tall, if you catch my drift.
